jewels everything around the house (or outside for that matter) is owned by dd. ‘Look mommy has new glasses! No, DD’s glasses.’ ‘Ds come put on your shoes, no! DD’s shoes!’. She threw a fit today because the bottle of wine I was holding really wasn’t hers....

B obviously can't read his name yet either. But he sure understands "MINE!" and will scream it when S sits there. Or touches any toy. Or book. Or animal. Or drink. I think you get the picture. Kid is territorial. Way more so than S was at this age. B is definitely your spirited kiddo. He's like A. S and Xander sound similar. Laid-back and kind-hearted. If X had been my firstborn, I would have been really caught off-guard by Hurricane Atticus. I have a friend with 2 grown children. M is the oldest and A is her second and last. She always joked had A been born 1st he would have been an only child because he was her wild one and she never could have handled 2 of him lol.

My brother and SIL's house is "Cousin C's house" I joke with my SIL that she doesn't have a place to live. If I say Aunt L's house both boys say "NO! It's C's house!" All semi's are owned by papaw. All construction equipment is great-grandpas <- this one really sucks because the county won't let them sit on their equipment... "BUT IT'S GREAT-GRANDPAS!"

klong11, feeling pretty good. Not sitting in a work chair all day has made a difference already in the pains I’ve been having down my side. If I stand for a long period of time it comes back but that one is easier to relieve. N has 1 more week of daycare and then he will be home with me... I have no idea what I’m going to do with him everyday.

If you or anyone you know takes BP meds, please check if they are the ones that have been recalled. My brother was taking it and now he has to get tested to make sure he doesn't have cancer.

All caught up now, whew! This has been a crazy week and I'm trying to do a little each day to get prepared for the parties this weekend. Today was my Costco run and I went a little overboard, even with Miss Bea's carseat taking up most of the cart. I had to have an escort follow me out with another cart, LOL. We are doing back to back parties, because it's just gotten to be too many people to invite everyone on one day, but if I leave family out of it feelings get hurt. So, I am experimenting with doing a friends & neighbors party on Saturday and then a dinner style GTG for family on Sunday. I can't decide if I'm crazy or a genius for doing it this way, but if it works out it may be the tradition moving forward. We have not figured out how to do birthdays consistently with having Ev and my oldest so close to a holiday, Theo and H on a holiday and now three summer birthdays. Luckily, I love parties and celebrating! This sounds like fun, and something I would do The prep is the worst part, but it's so satisfying when you throw a successful event (or events, in this case!)

Children's museums and zoos sometimes offer programs, too. The last two weeks, B has been at a morning "camp" at his new preschool, and he's doing one more week at "science camp" before we head up to my parents' lake place. It's been super reasonable price-wise, plus he loves going and getting the socialization and activities. And it buys me a few hours with only one kid to worry about entertaining

Whenever I say something is in the guest room, S corrects me and says no, it’s Uncle S and Aunt S room! It’s cute

C was so cool today. We went to Target and he was super helpful. I let him get a new Avengers lunch box and he’s psyched.
I’m only working a half a day tomorrow and then going to lunch and shopping with my mom. It’s going to be emotionally exhausting because my brothers having issues again and my mom is very upset. I’m trying not to get too involved because last time he had issues my parents used me as their sounding board and it wasn’t healthy for any of us. It’s hard to want to be there for them but set boundaries.

But he’s horrible to drop off and I’m only making 55% of my pay while I’m on leave so trying to keep him home as much as possible. I’ve been looking into the programs at the nearby libraries so hopefully we can do that a couple of times a week. He just constantly wants to be doing something. Yesterday we got up, I had to drop off papers at the government office and then we stopped and had Tim Hortons. We got home and he asked if we would be doing crafts and playing with toys. Then asked to go to a local park. So we went to the park for 2-1/2hrs and then to DH’s baseball games. This morning he woke up and asked what we would be doing today and expected us to go out to an indoor play place again. I’m sure it will just take us a week or so to get into a routine and I’m hoping if I can find a couple things to do during the week he will be okay.

B is this way too, literally the first question out of his mouth in the mornings is, "What are we doing to do at this house today?" I'm glad he doesn't want to sit around and watch TV all day but he would be happy going nonstop from 8-5 every day and I just cannot keep up, lol. I'm sure it is even worse when you're super-pregnant!

flamingo yes! That’s exactly him. And I wish N would happily go to camp even one week here and there, but he still struggles with daycare and school drop off... I’m not up for the fight to do a week of camp. It wouldn’t be so bad if he would happily play with toys by himself but 95% of the time he wants me to get down and play too.

The go pro video is edited. I'm still going to add pictures and stuff before and after but just the setting of the house is done. I'll post the link, R did it for me so it's his youtube account. The battery died at one point but you don't miss much. It's really neat to see. It's like 3 minutes long and it took them 10 hours. This is from the left side where our walk out basement is.

The kids demolished our house and ran wild. Booze for adults, obviously. The family one was still fun and kid friendly, but we catered Mexican and it was a bit more calm, quiet and booze filled.

Very ambitious, dapostrophe. FX for some great memories and hoping a good time will be had by all. klong11 I hadn't heard about this? I'll have to ask Pete what he knows. How long before your brother will know? flamingo @anybodyelse Is VBS the same everywhere insofar as having a religious overtone or are there just "camps" hosted by churches? My mom used to be the Assistant Director of the children's program for our church and I remember doing plays of scenes from the Bible.
