Well since we were all talking about pie in the last randoms, I'm going to throw it out there that I got these amazing, gigantic blackberries at the farmaer's market Friday and turned them to a really fantastic cobbler. With vanilla ice cream.

Has is everyone doing with their morning sickness? Talk of food maybe some people are starting to feel better? I feel good in the mornings but I’ve been getting queasy in the afternoon lasting until bedtime. Maybe not quite as severe. Almost 11 weeks so I’m hoping it’s going to go away any day now.

strawberrykiki good to hear you are doing a little bit better. My nausea is still out of control even with meds. It is all day but worse at night. The dry heaving and vomiting has picked up too. I'm almost 9 weeks so I fear it may get worse before it gets better.

strawberrykiki, I was going to say that MS has gotten a lot better for me, but I came in contact with a really bad smell, and now I'm not so sure. Just had some ginger candy, and things are a bit better. Mostly, it's been ok, no throwing up so far *knock wood,* but definitely a slow GI system. I hope others are feeling better as well!

nikkipal Yummmm...life needs more cobbler. With ice cream, always. MH doesn't eat ice cream with cobbler and it makes no sense to me. strawberrykiki I still get queasy in the evenings, but mornings are slowly getting better. I realized over the weekend that I feel sickest after having milk or ice cream, so I think I've developed a touch of lactose intolerance this time around. Kind of a bummer, but I switched to almond milk with my cereal yesterday and had no issues.

My nausea is on and off all day. It's usually worst right after I get up in the morning, and then in the evenings. I've had days where I've dry-heaved a lot, but no actual barfing yet. I find eating every couple of hours to be helpful.
I've gained at least 5 pounds so far, which is so different than last time. I think I had lost about 5 pounds at this point with DD. I'm pretty worried about overall weight gain, but I will reassess and make a plan once first tri misery is over.

Started unisom and B6 three days ago and it's made a big difference... Instead of almost constant debilitating nausea, it's just waves of it plus exhaustion.
I also cut out almost all dairy, it was making me feel so sick. I already drink soy milk, now replaced Greek yogurt with almond milk yogurt.
Weight is still totally steady, within a two pound range every morning. Hoping to keep steady through first tri. Can't exercise more than a brief walk daily so watching portions and avoiding treats!

MS isn't horrid this time around. It's there, it's annoying, but I'm mostly just dry heaving and my meds are actually helping this time. Just wish I wasn't craving things that this baby is rejecting. Guess it's keeping the sweets at a distance :/

I had made a habit of going to a nearby yoga studio for lunchtime classes almost every day. Well now I went for the second time in two weeks, and it was a total disaster. The heat and up and down motion was too much and I felt super sick. I froze my membership because I don't see myself going back anytime soon.
I really miss feeling healthy. "Only" 4-6 weeks more of feeling this way, if it's like last time.

My MS has been pretty rough but I’ve had a few decent days with mild to moderate nausea. I vomited twice yesterday though 😕 Today I’ve been nauseas but haven’t thrown up. It varies day to day for me. I’m 9 weeks tomorrow so I’m expecting it to last about another month. It eased up around 14 weeks with DD. 2nd tri can’t come quick enough!

I'm sorry for all you ladies so debilitated with this! I'm always nauseous at the grocery store or around lots of different foods cooking, but I just gag and feel gross. I don't have much of an appetite for anything but if I don't eat I feel worse so I'm trying to be good there. Harder now that I have to follow the GD diet. Good thing this baby seems to like carrots.

I started taking B6 and Unisom like 5 days ago & it’s made a huge difference for me. I don’t wake up vomiting anymore & can actually eat meals. I only get queasy here and there, like midday and then right before bedtime.

Is it too early for pregnancy brain? I almost left for work this morning in a cami with nothing else on top. And I've walked into the break room to print something about 3 times already. The printer's in the opposite direction...

Is pregnancy dandruff a thing? Ugh! Haha it might be I feel like my scalp is extra itchy. I’m trying to motivate to take a shower and shave both of my legs. It’ll take all the energy I have left for the day. That’s why I said both. Sometimes I get too tired and only get one done 😂 I’ve never been so tired in my life!

Those are the nights I sit down in the shower and do everything from the floor lol I do it more and more the bigger I get during pregnancy.

strawberrykiki , last pregnancy I ended up buying an electric razor. Then I could shave my legs lying down in bed! ETA: Because of my bump, but it works for 1st tri exhaustion too.

Whoa this baby is keeping me on my toes. I just had the worst round ligament pain and felt like I was gonna pass out. I was in the middle of a session and I had to ask a CWer to take my kid back to class. I laid on the floor for ten minutes and the pain went away. I’m feeling better now but still a little sore and pukey.

I had an appointment with my midwife yesterday and she didn't find the HB with the doppler. She warned me before we tried that we might not find it. (I am 10w 6d.) So I know it doesn't mean anything, but it isn't reassuring either. I am also freaking out because I have eaten dinner two nights in a row, after not being able to for weeks. I don't know how to calm down and feel like everything is alright.

wildflowers can you get in for an US? I can't imagine a medical professional not finding a HB and then leaving it at that. That's horrible. I'm sure all is OK but you need to know that for sure.

Not easily. I live in a very rural area and they schedule a week to two weeks out. So I would be 12/almost 12 weeks before I could get one. I had one at 7w 4d and everything looked good. Rather than schedule another one she said she could stop by again and we would try again. Idk. I guess I can ask, but I know it wouldn't be until late next week at the earliest. wildflowers can you get in for an US? FWIW my OB doesn't even do Doppler until after the 12 week ultrasound, because he says it's too unreliable before then.

wildflowers They couldn't find DD's hb on a doppler until 14 weeks (I had an anterior placenta). Don't worry. If the doctor was worried they would have sent you for a us right away. And enjoy the food! Even with HG I would have a couple of good days every now and then. Hopefully your nausea is easing off and you'll start to feel better more consistently in the next few weeks.

wildflowers Ugh, I'm sorry about the uncertainty. That makes is hard to stay in a good headspace. As others have mentioned, my OB also does not attempt the doppler until 12 weeks. I hope that you can get some answers soon.

wildflowers I'm sorry for the added stress! I echo the others, doppler is not reliable at this point so stay positive. I also had an anterior placenta with my last one and they couldn't find it with the doppler at 12 weeks.
