We’re on the road heading back home. It has been a quick and emotional two days. I’m spent and just want to be home already.

Just left the hospital. The Dr didn’t think it was severe enough to open up again (we only spoke over the phone and through pics yesterday). So that’s good news. He said I’ll feel dumpy for a few days still and fevers are common but as long as they aren’t getting higher. I’m off to bed. My dad took C fishing and will bring him home in an hour or so.

Headed to the Drafthouse to watch Muppets take Manhattan. Mh thinks it will keep Cadence's interest, but I'm not so sure.

We just got home from a local baseball event, it was fun, but so incredibly hot, we left after the 6th inning. Kids are playing with the garden hose now to cool off.

We're on our way to the park. Planning to spend pretty much the whole day there so we'll probably go through tons of sunscreen.
Atticus woke up in some kind of mood. He seems to have finally snapped out of it.
My sister is coming over once the kids are all asleep so we can go on a date but we haven't decided what we're doing yet.

Hey. We’ve had a lazy morning. H has VBS this evening with MIL and I need to go into work at some point today. My sunburn hurts and the kids keep rubbing against it. Ow.

I drank way too much last night and I'm now having the laziest day. Ordered way too much food for dinner yesterday so it's just leftovers tonight and a float in the, hopefully, snakeless pool

The boys have been disasters today. We had a short reprieve at the bounce house place, though it looked like we were going to cut it short 20 minutes in. Chase's stomach is a wreck still, and I am starting to think it's a bug rather than lingering troubles from my ILs. He's been super clingy too, which makes me think he's not feeling too hot. Poor kiddo.

The movie went ok, but Cadence got bored and kept saying she wanted to go potty and her stomach hurt. She has been saying her stomach hurts ever since I stayed home last week. I took her to the restroom once and knew she didn't need to go so I wouldn't let her.
She made it through the movie and was perfectly fine, but kept saying she was ready to go home and she missed her cats.
After the movie Cadence and I went to the grocery store.
Now we're just hanging out at home and I'm waiting for the Excedrin to kick in and get rid of this dang headache I have.
Oh and laundry, lots of laundry.

Hi all, we’ve had a full day. We went down to the Outer Banks today to check out an aquarium there that has an animatronic dinosaur exhibit right now. Both were great, we had lunch at a 50’s style diner, then stopped for snow cones and some fresh produce at a farm stand on the way back. I’d never been to the OBX before today but I can see why people like it, each island seems to have its own personality.
The kids and DH swam when we got home while I made a Target run; we’re making a pizza for the kids and DH is making us veal chops and risotto after they go to bed.

My ILs stopped by to drop something off with the boys and my FIL asked if we could extend our vacation a bit to visit them on their vacation to Lake Sunapee. They haven't really made solid plans yet but I said we'd love to make it work. They haven't said anything to DH yet (?) but he agreed that we could take an extra day off on the front of the trip. I hope it works out - the kids love my ILs and I love Sunapee.

Finally home. 12 hours out today... lord I'm exhausted. But the boys had a blast!!! Gave me a glimpse of what our trip would he like. As long as they were in water they were happy lol. Hope the resort has poolside lunch service or they'll starve!

Long day here. Went to my high school bff's new house and their pool. Then n car napped and went to my moms while the kids did not nap..my elementary bff stopped by, and then went to a friend's house with another family and kids played in a baby pool while they grilled. I'm pooped. It was great to see my friends IRL though, was starting to worry if they were just a figment of my imagination since it's been so long...

When you tell my child no more snacks she will find something to hit you with When you take the tablet away for hitting she will hit you again and bite you Instant time out. Great way to start bedtime  She broke the skin on my arm and bruised it. Awesome. |
