I feel like the whole world is spinning out of control. In addition to the forced "re-education" for poor children, there is also: 1) They're criminalizing poverty. 2) I am so sick and tired of people excusing outrageously unjust behavior by saying the recipients are criminals and therefore not worthy of human rights or equality. 3) The thinly veiled "It's not targeted at Muslims, but really, we're targeting Muslims" doublespeak is fucking ridiculous. Jesus. JESUS. For as progressive as Europe seems to be, so much of it has a really terrible record with immigrants, looking at you Scandinavia- whose countries are also considered to be some of happiest and best places to live on Earth. So much has changed, but so much hasn't. We are really reaching a global immigration crisis. This is very alarming.

In a bit of good world news, all of those boys in Thailand missing in the caves for over a week were found alive!

Fox News is on in the hotel breakfast area where I’m at. The anchor was talking about Canadian tariffs and that “we should expect a tweet from the President later today”. 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭 not a statement, a tweet. 🤮 Does he even know how to do anything else?

I don't usually come to these parts, but I'm cautiously excited about Mexico's new president. He ran on a new party and won in a landslide. His policies are on the left spectrum. So Who knows what will happen and what he will do. Im done with el PRI and el PAN parties there. People are saying he's kind of like the Bernie of Mexico. I know Bernie is problematic. But people there seem to be overwhelmingly tired of all the bad stuff and he grew popular on grassroots movements too. We'll see. I am optimistic he can get things done but when you have a 5% conviction rate for over 29,000 murders last year I think he will need to come up with a good plan to protect himself and the people from faceless cartels and drug gangs.

That's awful. What exactly can a one year old learn about values anyways? And forcing Christmas and easter. This is ridiculous. Ridiculous

Thanks for checking in. I was wondering what your thoughts were. Seems promising, but I get the cautious part. It’s a good start. I hope he can accomplish his goals and stay above he corruption. His people deserve that. I'm cautious for sure because he's sort of a populist like trump and Chavez. I want to believe he means all the things he promised folks there. He used a lot of similar stands like Bernie. Like taxing the elite and getting rid of corrupt politicians. But at this rate Pena Nieto was Pri and he's been awful. The last PAN president (Felipe Calderon) tried to reign in tne violence and he sort of made a dent, but not really. We'll see. I just don't want AMLO turning into Chavez. I think populist is a broad world. Clearly with Trump it depends on what "populous" your trying appease. With him it is the super rich. With Bernie it was a the common person. And with AMLO it seems to be the low income family and the poor. Populism is the start of a movement but how it works for the delegate depends on the populous you align with I am seeing.

In a bit of good world news, all of those boys in Thailand missing in the caves for over a week were found alive! It is but they are in terrible health. Plus to get them out they are going to have to essentially Bell dive them out. TO put it plainly they need to be dehydrated and most cases fed liquid diets. They may not be able to move them for 12 hours because of the sensory deprivation they have had for the past 9 days. And they will need to give them Diving hear including a whole face mask to lower stress go get them out of the cave thanks to the rain. Its not over yet. Its going to be rough. Fingers crossed.

I guess my comparison was what Trump has been doing in office. AMLO has been fighting for the people for ages. Trump has never fought for the people. He didn't even fight for his workers. He is blindly followed by people who only believe what they are fed on Fox News. From what I know is AMLO is dedicated to them and their outcry for change maybe something he can do. I just worry he won't survive in time to make any change. Simply for the staggering fact that 74 politicians where killed this election.

Just because his policies now that he's in office benefit corporations and the wealthy doesn't mean he didn't appeal to the poor and working class (and racists). He absolutely did. He made a ton of promises about helping them that he obviously had no intention of keeping. But people believed him because they wanted to and wanted a white man in office who would "make things great again" aka, turn back the clock to a time when white men held all the power.

All I'm saying is that whenever someone non establishment comes and whispers sweet nothing into a crowd who is done wth the bad stuff it can go two ways. Very good or very bad. I.e.: USA and Venezuela. I'm hoping this guy will do good. I don't put him on a pedastal as a hero for the people because there's still shady stuff about him.

What about last week when 45 tweeted about goodlatte 1/2 then say he said he didn't support, why lie?
He didn't support either because dems are obstructionist.

But 45 said there was no threat from NK, putting aside that, there are commercial pics of the ramping of nukes.
Can you clarify, are they still a threat
We're having meetings and making progress. Bolton thinks NK could de-nuke in a year.. Hahahahahahahaha
