I was going to head to the pool tonight but we ended up in the basement on a tornado warning. Some neighbors have posted about roof damage but it never stopped raining enough for me to go out. Every time we get a storm like this I hope for enough damage for a new roof. E did pretty well and just watched minions on the computer. Last time we went to the basement for a thunderstorm he was freaked after

On our way home from Legoland. I got up three times last night to check on X since he's never slept in a regular bed and he had the bottom bunk in the room. He was fine at four am, but when I checked at six he was standing with his head on against the bed, swaying back and forth, and his pants were off? So I think he either fell off or climbed out and managed to wind his pants down as he tried to get back up. Poor baby must have been so cold and scared. Who knows how long he was like that.
I took him to our bed where he snuggled up with us and crashed right away until the alarm went off at 7:30.
I felt so terrible.

Quoting myself because I feel like an ass. Was skimming earlier and just caught up and re-read that your question was included in the post about how C wouldn't sleep for hours at bedtime. Sorry for being all, "just try and set him down!". Wow... I'm helpful. We are nowhere close to having P on anything resembling a schedule and I go back to work in 3 weeks. We had a regular bedtime for the boys at eight weeks but she's such a mess at night we're just half-heartedly trying to put her down. E totally doesn't have a schedule. She rules my life right now.

Super late check in but if was a busy day. N had vacation bible school this morning so H and I ran errands to get ready to head up north tomorrow. Then We drove 2 hours each way to visit my friend and her 6 week old baby. H DID NOT NAP then entire 4 hours in the car. We got home, dh had dinner on the table and then we left for my nephews baseball game where the kids ran around for 2 hours. They were wiped and I’m sure will want to sleep in. H has never not napped before, so i hope this isn’t a thing.
We are picking the kids up at daycare after lunch tomorrow to head up north so I was hoping for car naps for part of the 3 hour drive but now I’m a little nervous.

Those who have or is currently breastfeeding, how did you know to start removing certain foods from your diet because your baby couldn't have it? E has been having problems passing gas and pooping so I'm thinking I might need to eliminate certain foods from my diet.

My babies both had gas issues the first month or two and then it cleared up on its own after that. Gas massage helps too. I think that’s pretty common with all babies. As for cutting things from your diet, usually that correlates to mucusy poop or blood in their poop.

With both kids (but more with dd) I removed tomatoes, onions, garlic, leek, kale, broccoli, pineapple, oranges (including juice), kiwis and spicy food in general. If I would eat any of those foods they would scream bloody murder. ETA but it wasn’t related to poop, more colic type of behaviour.

Yay, C! I was going to say that it's worth a try if you haven't tried yet. I've set drowsy almost 4mo old A down a few times because I'm with another kid and am shocked that he just goes to sleep at times! This doesn't happen during the day or MOTN, but he seems to do ok sometimes at bedtime... sometimes. Quoting myself because I feel like an ass. Was skimming earlier and just caught up and re-read that your question was included in the post about how C wouldn't sleep for hours at bedtime. Sorry for being all, "just try and set him down!". Wow... I'm helpful. Oh no, don’t feel bad. That was one bad night. Generally he’s a decent sleeper. I’m not so worried about bed time as he’s usually exhausted and in need to nurse him to sleep so my boobs don’t hurt. I need to be able to put him down for naps on a more regular schedule. My oldest were at daycare by 4 months and my daycare lady got them on a routine. I don’t remember what I did with T. We are going on vacation in a week so I should probably not work too hard until that’s over but then I need routine.

Most will do a free inspection to determine if you do have damage that you can't see. Or see if you have granules at the bottom of your drain spots. When we got our roof replaced, we couldn't actually tell the shingles were bad, but I noticed it looked like there were waves in our roof line. But make sure and use a company that comes recommended. Especially after big storms, fly by night companies come in and totally screw people over.

Only a few singles around our skylights are curling up a bit.

You don't usually even have to be home when they do the inspection, unless there are specific spots you want them to look at. They usually don't need to get in your attic for the inspection.

chrisy01, you might try removing dairy first and then go from there.

Re: Sleep schedules, I've done the same thing with all my kids, starting when they are newborns. Warm bath, getting pjs on in low light, white noise, going to sleep in the same spot at the same time each night, massage and aromatherapy. I use a "good sleep" essential oil blend that I got off Amazon in a diffuser that seems to work well. My mom joked last night that Bea has her own baby spa.
This worked for all my kids, with the exception of Evelyn who was just not a great sleeper. Bea is currently doing a 5-8 hour stretch at night and going back to sleep after feedings, but it's still a bit early to say that she's in a routine of any kind.
When I move them to the crib (around 4-6 months...depending when they STTN), it's all the same routine, just a new sleep surface. There are a few adjustment days IIRC, so we just keep repeating the pattern until they are used to it.

I saw that. I think she got the worst damage. Ours might be from an older storm or from this one I was going to head to the pool tonight but we ended up in the basement on a tornado warning. *snip What kind of bike did you get vino ? My parents got me a beach cruiser for my birthday last year and it’s perfect for biking with C. However I want to start biking for exercise and it’s not ideal for that. I was looking more at the mountain bikes. I LOVE the cruiser bikes but for the same reason as your finding I am looking for something more versatile, especially for when we start to go camping and riding trails in a few years. So I'll buy a cruiser when I'm old and my decisions aren't driven by my kids needs
