Yay for the weekend (thread)!

Hey! I'm at work for the rest of the day. This morning we went to the zoo to check out the brand new brown bear exhibit, and it was super cool! They even put in a little playground area for the kids to play at. We stopped at Target afterwards so I could buy a gift because DH is taking the girls to a friend's 2nd birthday party this afternoon. I was ready for some time away from my kids after this week. I love them but 24/7 togetherness is a little too much.

mwhip our drives this week were 4.5 (ended up being 5/5.5 with stops) and it wasn't bad at all. I pretty much gave the girls tablets from the beginning and told them to watch a movie. Then when I wanted them to take a nap I told them the tablets were dead and needed to charge. Worked like a charm. I hope your drive goes well, you too lahdeedah!

tallb I hope J's fever is a 24 hour bug and he's feeling better ASAP.

Thanks. Dd was doing really well sleep wise, we started weaning her of her reflux medication about 6 weeks ago. We knew that after complete weaning it could get worse for a little while. We’re just hoping that that is it and it will be over soon.

So I had Evie all dressed in a pretty floral print sundress, hair clip, earrings (stick-on, her fav) to go to a party. In the 15 minutes it took for me to jump in the shower and my H to dishes, she stripped down to her undies, put on her purple cape and ran over to the neighbor's party to show everyone her "Captain Underpants" outfit.

We are that family.

Sunny41 My front door is dark red and I have a covered porch so I wouldn't let that deter you...but I actually like the idea of a light blue door. I would also paint the sidelites to match.

Sunny41 I think it’s Sherwin Williams—or maybe Ben Moore, or both?—has an application on their site where you can upload a photo and ‘paint’. I used it when we were testing colors for our old house and it really helped me to visualize.

Those who took their N13 to see incredibles 2 how did you handle the swearing? LO is repeating things and I don't know if we should avoid if right now or if it's hardly noticeable.

Sunny41 Another vote for something in the blue family. One of my fav designer bloggers recently redid hers in “Rainy Afternoon” by Behr and I think it looks pretty with the white house.

Nothing too bad according to the blogs but since my LO is repeating a lot of things and goes to a religious school I'm trying to decide if it's okay or not.

MH took B on Wednesday and there’s no swearing, by my standards anyways. Reading the blog the words ‘damned’ ‘crap’ and ‘hell’ are not really a concern to me. If it became an issue with constant repeating I’d say they’re adults words and they aren’t to be repeated.

Quick update.... we made it to FL! Currently staying at my BILs. He is on his way back down with a U-Haul of our stuff from IN. (Tire blew an hour into his trip.... nice)

Letty had a weird diaper rash the day before we left. I thought it was weird because it looked like a HFM rash but she was acting totally fine. So I was like whatever- it’s nothing- just a diaper rash. Flash forward the next day when she’s a inconsolably screaming and stiff boarding her body for like 45 min of our flight until she passed out. I felt terrible for the people around me- but I was also able to see in her mouth at that time to see it full of white blisters.... sooo HFM indeed. She’s still a hot mess the following day. Drooling and inconsolable. I’m keeping up on pain control but it’s not helping much. 😩 So yeah. I can handle HFM unless it’s actually in the mouth.... then they are so miserable. It’s so sad.

Anyways. I’ll be catching up soon... i just haven’t been able to be online really at all with the moving and then this sickling who has been needing me 24/7.

This is how I would handle it.

Dude says "Jesus Christ" which I don't care about at all, but Pete does, so we tell him that's only for grown-ups. It's pretty rare he does it, maybe once every six weeks or so.

We just got back from getting Mexican for dinner. B is finishing dessert, then I’ll put him to bed and after that I am putting my feet up. I have been go-go-go today (although I can’t point to much I actually got accomplished what with parenting and all).
