I’m at swimming lessons with N. It’s chaotic and I don’t think she’s learning much. I think I’m going to put her in private lessons later this summer. I wish I would have done that in the first place since I just realized it’s only $15 more for 4 private lessons vs group

We have a city inspector coming out to approve our framing, then our electrician will be here this afternoon.

It's my dad's birthday so me and P are going to take him out to lunch.

Do it!  That's pretty cheap for private lessons.  Ours is an additional $40/lesson for private.

M is going tonight.  I changed her class time to 6:45 because I was a crazy person trying to get her fed & ready in less than 15min for the 6:30 class.  When I made the change after last week's class she was the only person signed up for that slot.  So hopefully she's get a couple private lessons for free before more kids get put in that class.

Morning. It feels like Friday so I’m very disappointed it is only Tuesday. I need to make a fresh flower headband for ds to put on his head coming Friday for a midsummer night celebration, thoughts?

MH & I talked some last night about the dog situation. He was happy that she ate some food and drank some water. I mean, that's great but it doesn't mean that she's not still in a shit load of pain.

I remembered that one of the mom's at daycare is a mobile vet. I'm going to call today to see if she'd give a 2nd opinion. If she decides she needs to be put down, she can do it in the comfort of our home.

Just got home from swim lessons. I'm glad we're doing the early session, forces me to get up and out of the house. We have a couple errands to run and I'm making a grocery list right now while the kids eat breakfast #2.

slenle we did private lessons last summer and they were great, I felt like B learned so much. He's doing group this summer since that was what worked for our travel schedule, but it's only 4 kids in his class with 2 instructors. He is the most advanced by a good bit but I do think the instructors are doing a nice job of tailoring the lessons to each child's skills/comfort. If they didn't do that it would be a waste.

I was just catching up on the news and apparently The ‘Space Force’ is happening now. Lol for days, omg the shit this guy is wasting your money and energy on is...well, honestly I’m at a loss for words. That combined with the family separations, this guy is totally backwards. Melania, come collect your man.

Meanwhile, in Canada, I’m attending a Diversity and Inclusion workshop this morning; a couple weeks after I completed a Federally driven course on Gender Based +, it ensures that all policies and processes follow a guideline to represent all groups/people.

Been waiting 45 minutes for an ear recheck at the pedi.. ridiculous. Have both boys today. I'm not sure what we'll do today. The neighbor is on vacation but her niece is staying there and uses the pool literally all freaking day. I just need an hour to wear my kids out for good naps!

I signed the boys up for next session for swim lessons. I spoke to the instructor last night and she agrees that J doesn't need the next few "swimming starters" class. So he's jumping 3 levels. He had to start there since he's 2. But now I won't have to get in with either of them so I can get my tattoo now! The guy wouldn't do it while I had to be in the pool.

I was super happy with private lessons slenle ... Especially when they are first really learning. Totally worth it!!

Aww tgrimes... it will be nice to be at home if she does need put down. She won’t be scared or anxious. <3

I called the mobile vet and they're booked. The tech said from what I described it sounded like she was in a lot of pain. She thinks someone might cancel this afternoon if their dog is doing better. Augh. I slipped it in there that M goes to school with the Dr's daughter. Maybe that will help? i also asked if she would do after hours home visits. She said she'd ask her about it because she hasn't done it in awhile.

Fuck. Why does this have to be so difficult?

I called our vet and its $600 to put her to down. Holy shit balls that's a lot of money.

That's an insane amount to put her down.. it's one shot..

I would imagine it includes more than that. When we put our cats down, the prices vary depending on how you want the remains handled, plus if you are getting their ashes returned to you they include things like a paw print plaque, etc. It's actually really nice.

tgrimes I hope your fur baby isn't in too much pain and you're able to get a 2nd opinion today.

I'm waiting on the flooring guys. I don't even mind that they're running late today, they told me it would only take a few hours to finish up, so this way, I won't feel guilty about not going into the office. If they had shown up at 8 and finished early enough, I would have felt like I needed to go into work.

Although I could really use a nap today!

I found a place that does all of that for $425.  I'm not sure if MH will want it or not, but my vet just to put them down was $600.  It did not include any extras.  

I already told MH that we need to change vets...

I walked into a very busy day at work and I finally have a break. I'm a bit off today. Reading about the child separations and about the young rapper that was killed in S. Florida had me so sad last night and I'm still affected this morning. I also didn't get good sleep becuase all 4 of us were jammed into my queen sized bed. I didn't care because I just wanted to be near my kids.

vino - I fully admit to ducking out of the room when the news switches over to the separations. I'm heartbroken and nauseated about it as it is, I can't handle the audio or the pictures. It's inhumane. It makes me want to scream at all the assholes at my work who thought some of us were being OTT after the 2016 elections because "it doesn't make a difference for YOU!" Yeah well I have a soul, so it does matter. This is absolutely sickening.

I think it also depends on weight/size of the animal. My cocker spaniel was around $250, IIRC and the chihuahuas have been less.
