I’m not cut out for a dance mom. Registration for next year started at 4. I showed up exactly at 4 and the line was out the door. I’ve barely moved. They sent out all the forms ahead of time so i don’t know how it can be so long or what time people showed up. This is ridiculous. That is ridiculous. Is there not another studio she could attend?

Ha. There are quite a few studios in this town. 2 of them are pretty big and this is the less crazy of the 2. She was a teacher at the other one and branched off on her own a few years ago and it took off.

slenle That is nuts. I'd suck it up and stand in line, too, but would be muttering under my breath the entire time. Is it the classes for the older students that are so competitive to get into? Seems like the stuff for littles could be done separately. DH just got home about the time the kids and I got back from the grocery store. I tagged out and am now hiding in our room with my laptop, a glass of wine, and the fan on full blast.

We made it to my sister’s house almost 2 hours ago. No potty accidents or vomit in the car, so I’m calling it a success! It rained off and on the whole way here. We have just been hanging out at my sister’s house since we got here, we probably won’t do anything else tonight really.

Happy birthday inthekitty! Separating children from their families has me seeing red. My other sister called the reps in my state and one of the offices said there is a bill one of them is cosponsoring to keep families together. I hope that’s true.

When I called to schedule, the guy told me the fastest way to get an infection is to get in a pool. He said I need to be out of the pool for a week and a half for healing to be complete. But it's pretty big an on my forearm, so I can't keep it out of the water. I'm sure if it was on your shoulder or something else higher on your body and you just didn't go under you'd be okay. My sister got a very large tattoo in England recently. They told her no pool for at least 2 weeks. I remember having to keep them covered and out of water for probably three days? But it's been so long since any of them so it's possible I've forgotten.

I don't remember anything about the pool though. Granted that was in 1997 though so...

Okay, MH has decided we'll take her to the animal hospital tonight after M's swim lesson. I just texted my SIL to see if she was in town because I don't want him to do this by himself. She's going to come to our house at 7:30 and possibly put M to bed, if we're gone too long.
sorry about my long dog saga.

They said they will place the older girls in appropriate classes after registration so I don’t know what more there was to do than drop off forms. I heard by 6:00 it’s dead and you can walk right in. I just happen to get off work at 4 and work a block away so I thought I’d go quick. Lesson learned for next year.

tgrimes so many hugs. Hardest party of being a pet owner, being there for them. I read a post secret once about having to put a pet down and always to stay bc they dogs look for their owners if they choose to not be in the room😭

Dang, all of our dance registration stuff was done online and you just show up for the first day. My kind of dance studio. Even better if I don’t have to call or otherwise interact with a human beforehand 🙌🏻 (Nothing against dance studios, I feel the same way about all organized activities, including but not limited to tball, soccer, VBS, summer camp, swim...) 😂

Long day at work but I’m off tomorrow for my biopsy I’m looking forward to the day off and an excuse to loaf around all day.
I had Cs parent teacher conference today and it was really good. The teacher was out on maternity leave for five months and was surprised and happy with all the progress he made while she was gone. She’s also astounded by his strength and boundless energy, as we all are. He’s doing good in class but when outside is when he gets into spats with his friends but she said he’s doing better using his words and not his hands. They also gave us his schoolwork folder from the year, writing samples, and a bunch of pictures. It’s crazy to see a year in review of how much he’s grown.
I’m hoping to get C in bed soon and bike a bit before dinner but I’m fading. It may be a quick speed ride.

Hi! I’m on my way to STL. Shopping tomorrow, spending the day with my sister and her kids Thursday, then Thursday night S has a sleep study at the hospital. Back home on Friday after discharge. I also have to drop MH’s truck at the dealership for some warranty work.
My Jeep had to be towed from my house today because the gear shifter was stuck in Park but the vehicle was stuck in neutral. The emergency brake was the only think keeping it from rolling into my garage wall. So it’s at the shop now as well.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! Honestly the day started out well but has otherwise sucked. I went for a 4+ mile run/walk to the Sound this morning which was nice. Got the dog worn out.
Afterwards we went to Madison's end if the year ceremony which was really cute.
From then on it's been nothing but carpet cleaning prep/staging. MH is a borderline hoarder. He has so.much.stuff. I'm going to have a CTJ talk about it. I think he was upset that I didn't help bring down his zillions of DVDs and books. Nope. You move them so you can feel all the misery involved in it and maybe that will make you think about it. I'm over so much crap and clutter.
But I knew going into it this wouldn't be a fun day. Our 10 year anniversary is Thursday, MH's birthday is in two weeks. We'll do something to celebrate in August when we're settled because a new house is a worth it.

So many hugs tgrimes. It sounds like you're doing everything you can in the best interest of your pup. I hope you find a solution that works for you (and a new vet).

I would just be honest. We aren’t religious but if you are you can explain that she has gone to heaven. We prepped C a bit when we thought Max was a goner in November and he had a hard time understanding that pets live shorter lives and just because someone was sick or in pain they weren’t dying. It was hard to answer those questions but I tried to be as honest but as simplistic as I could.
