Weekend is here!

It's after midnight here so I'm saying the weekend has started!

I mostly wanted to hop on to tell you we have TEETH! We have been thinking they were coming soon. They weren't there yesterday when he chewed on me but definitely two poking through tonight. Bye bye gummy smile. Boo! But exciting at the same time.

After moving the baby to his room last night now our power his out so the monitor won't work. I'm on the couch so I can hear him and can't go back to sleep. We better get power back before my frozen breast milk defrosts.

I got my BFP one year ago! I had waited and surprised H and told him on Father’s Day. I made sure to tell him already his gift does NOT include a human this year 😂

I’m getting together my Dad at a playground in the morning then headed to the IL’s in the afternoon.

Power came back on between 1:30 and 2. Both kids slept through the outage

We have a busy weekend. My grandma passed away yesterday morning so we are leaving Sunday afternoon to drive the 9 hours up and will probably drive back on Wednesday or Thursday. Luckily it has not hit me yet but I see this trip being super emotional.

Today we have a babysitter so DH and I can hopefully finish up prepping the house to list. And DD1 has a birthday party this afternoon. Tomorrow we will probably go to brunch for Fathers Day and then go to Paw Patrol Live as a surprise for DD1 in the afternoon before we leave to drive up north. All I really want to do is lay in bed since baby was up a few times last night but I know that’s not going to happen.

DH works today but has tomorrow off. It is 100ish degrees here so my plans are mostly to stay inside. I want to take the kids to Target to get DH a card and/or a gift for Fathers Day, we will see if I can motivate myself to do that. If anyone has any gift ideas LMK 😂🙈

Oh sarahh I’m so sorry to hear that, my condolences.

jessijean how exciting! But I agree sad about gummy smiles gone and I’m making sure to appreciate every one DD2 gives right now!

We are going to check out a nearby town today because we’ve been told they have a great playground, and they definitely have a DQ so can get treats after A little pre-fathers day family activity H picked out to do.

Ds has a tooth too, it popped through before he was even 4 months! 😭 I'm not ready for him to get big yet.

We are taking him to the zoo today and then have a good brunch planned tomorrow for Father's Day so it should be a good weekend! I have to share how cute he looks in his hat 😍

Happy weekend ladies! We ordered takeout for lunch and the rest of mine is waiting for me downstairs, little was not having it. I almost got him down and H is taking care of big! Woot!! 2 weeks until we move into the house. I am very excited. My brother is coming to help move and big is super excited. I need to go to Marshall’s and pick him up a birthday present so nice he’ll be here a few days before hand.

We took the baby to the zoo for the first time today. They had a cool dinosaur exhibit that DS loved. It went pretty well over all. I think we have gotten into a bad rut of staying in the house because it just seems so hard to take the two of them anywhere. But I do much better mentally when I have gotten out of the house, so I need to remember that.

Does anyone’s baby cry hysterically for every other person besides them? She hates to be held by DH, or her grandparents. She sometimes does better in the morning, but when DH gets home she wants nothing to do with him. She usually calms down right away when I take her. DH keeps trying to give her bottles and get her to sleep and she just screams. She’ll smile at him when I’m holding her but if he gets too close sometimes she’ll start screaming. I’m not sure what to do, and I go back to work in two months so she will need to get used to other people.

sarahh I’m so sorry for your loss.

@tiffebaby DD3 was like that. She wanted me and only me and wouldn’t take a bottle. I stay at home so we just kind of suffered through. It was pretty hard on DH but eventually she came around. Wish I had some good advice.

Our neighborhood is having a summer party on our street. Everyone is super nice, but I’m horrible at small talk. Currently hiding in my house nursing the baby. But also it’s 100 degrees out. So yay AC!

J has been off the past 3 days. Extremely fussy, horrible sleep at night and some bouts of hysterical crying. He napped decent at daycare Thur/Fri but napped less than an hour today. I anticipate another rough night since we are already on wakeup 2. He is boycotting his crib

He could be teething? (I don’t feel any teeth yet)
He could be dealing with a sleep regression (I thought we already went through the 4 month one)
He could have an ear infection (??? - DD has never had one - ear infections are new to me)
Just some off days?

yellow711 both of my girls have had ear infections (DD1 just got tubes in January after a ton of them) and both show the same signs. Always yellow goop in their eyes. They never tug on their ears. I guess all kids are different but that usually how I rule an ear infection out.

I had a super crazy busy day. I took G to the mermaid parade in Coney Island. She had fun. I had to go to work twice because that’s greeting card life. Lol.
I am just now getting into bed. I’m exhausted and I hurt all over.

I just bought MH gifts today. He is getting a board game and a new water cup. 🤷🏻‍♀️ For Mother’s Day I only got a T-shirt and some chocolate so I figured this is enough.

I also had to solo parent at a party today too. I really don't know how single parents survive.

I got my husband an actifry for Father’s Day. He loves kitchen gadgets and cooking so I’m hoping he enjoys it.

H’s baptism is this morning. My brother is having two of his kids baptized as well. The reception afterwards is a pool party at his house which should be fun! It’s supposed to be 33 plus crazy humidity today (I think that’s in the 90s), so I’m excited for the pool.

Baby sleep has been improved since we moved him to his room/crib. Unfortunately the toddler woke up at 3 and 5 when his screaming for mommy woke up the baby. Then he got upset when I sat to nurse the baby. Sigh.
