I wanted to get this silly one out before I forgot it again.
Years ago, on my commute to my first job out of college I drove by this motel. For an entire year I thought it was named The Strangle Motel. It tickled me a little that this seedy looking place had such creepy name. Well one day I went by the sign on the exit ramp and realized it was really called The Stangel Motel. No R in there. I was a little let down honestly. 🤷♀️😂

My silly confession: I'm one of those people who love car carts, I'd ride in one if a. I were small enough and b. had someone to push me. So I almost always let my kid ride in one, but our deal is he has to stay in it and not be a pain in the neck while I shop, and if I do, I'll push that sucker as fast as I can in the parking lot, complete with appropriate sound effects. I get a lot of side eyes.

I have a stupid one. I was talking about the terrible/awesome old soap opera Passions with my H, and he had never heard of it. I showed him a couple clips on YouTube, then started watching the first episode, then the second...and now I’ve watched 50 episodes. It’s mostly background noise during the day, but still, wtf is wrong with me? It’s still so so bad. ![](http://media.giphy.com/media/F6ZjxyoMImqLC/giphy.gif)

I once raced a random dad with car carts in Lowe's. I had DS2 in the cart and he had his little girl. We ended up next to each other in the main middle aisle and the girl said let's race. Before her dad could even say no I yelled go and we both took off.

I need to go pick up what I want to get H for Father's Day, but I have to help my parents with something that came up suddenly and now I don't feel like doing ANY of the approximately 549 things I need to get done today. I'd rather just hang out at my parents and watch the World Cup.

I just realized this week that if someone posts a 360 pic on fb that you don't have to turn the screen to see it... you can just use your finger to shift the picture. There have been times that I have turned the phone almost fully away from me to see the whole pic.

Omg passions. Now there’s a blast from the past! I also had to watch the last episode. Once it moved to directTV, I never saw an episode, and I needed to see how things end. Lol, it’s so so bad/amazing.

Last night E was in the bath. I stepped out to grab his towel and in true 3 yr old fashion he splashed water EVERY WHERE. I came in and whispered (what I thought to be under my breath) "oh fuck". I get down to start cleaning it up and E leans in to my face really slow and whispers "yeahhh oh fuck".
And so it begins.

So I sort of touched on this yesterday but my kid is obsessed with buying cat food - the dry kibble kind. When he goes to my Mom's she lets him feed the cats so he gets super excited. Anyway, on a few occasions when I have had to go run an errand at Target or something, he asks if he can come with and get Jack's (mom's cat) food. Doesn't want toys, nada, just the kibble. He holds onto it for dear life in the cart, and sleeps with the unopened bag in his crib until we see my Mom and he can give her the bag and feed the cats at her house.
Yesterday he took it one step further by taking the bag into daycare with him. I don't want to rob him of his joy so I just let it be. He took it again with him today, and yes he slept with the bag in his crib last night. He sits it in the corner next to him, cat picture side facing him.
I'll add a pic in a sec. PDQ
poof

My mom loved Passions.
So much so that for the first six weeks of my son’s life she called him Ethan. His name is Evan.

Add me to the Passions fan club. I’m sad that YouTube broke on my television.

She is super flakey and has always called some of my friends slightly wrong names like mispronouncing them etc. But she said she just had Ethan on the brain cause of her favorite soap opera and she liked it better. 🤨 She asked if she could call DS2 by his middle name because she liked it better. She is special.

ladybrienne I am going to be smiling thinking about a baby sleeping with a bag of cat food all day. That’s adorable. What does the daycare think?
