Big hugs kim22. Sounds like she lived a good long life and it's wonderful that she got to meet so many of her great-grandchildren. Glad you got to spend some time with her the last few days. |

flamingo , do you remember a while ago we were talking about exterior paint colors and doors? mention the house (I think it was in Charleston), gray, tan, and wood. Can you tell me how the combination worked? I do...I think it was wood-stained door, gray/greige exterior, cream-y trim. Does that sound right? Yes. That's essentially what we have, but the frames of the windows are dark brown and it works (in a macro sense) but it's an odd choice to me, but I can't figure out what other option you would use for the frame. |

So, dh is totally trying to plan some sort of surprise for my birthday. I’m trying to act like nothing is going on but he must have insisted the help of my friend and sister because I know something is up. I don’t know details so I’m just going to go ignore my suspicions so i can act surprised. But this is very hard for me!

MH always calls to tell me when he's leaving. I always appreciate it because we get to check in for a few minutes and I know when to expect him. Today, he called to tell me that he was making a cup of tea and was going to sit for 10 minutes with it and then leave. Don't toy with my emotions like that.

wedding Can I get your thoughts on this? The vet gave her a neurological supplement and trazodone, the anxiety meds that our other dog used to be on (which I don't think did anything for her). They want to try that for a month and see if we noticed improvements. If not, then going any further probably gets expensive. She was panting heavily all night and was still shaking this morning, even after I gave her the doggie ibuprofen. She's just sitting in her cage facing away from us and doesn't want to come out.

Could the medicine just be making her tired/cranky, so she needs some space? She's kind of been withdrawn from us even before we started meds. Like, she won't listen to any commands. But anything is possible at this point. |

dapostrophe I'll see if I can find a pic of the house like what I'm thinking of...the one guster mentioned that I talked about was one we saw in Charleston when we were on vacation. That's heartbreaking tgrimes. Poor pup. At least in humans anxiolytics can take a couple weeks to fully get into your system and to see a benefit, they can also initially cause increased anxiety for a limited time. So hopefully she'll start to have a positive response soon. Hugs to you. klong11 way to go to your H. That's an adorable cake. slenle that's sweet that your husband is planning a surprise party. You can practice your surprised expression.  |
