Remember that mommastrong program I talked about awhile back for diastasis recti? I finally did the 3 day program. (I've been doing some other exercises for the past 5 months that I got from a physical therapist and wasn't noticing much improvement.) It actually works! I'm shocked that after 3 days I could tell this big of a difference. I haven't checked out the rest of her programs yet but I'm seriously in awe that these 5 simple exercises could make this big of an impact. Mind blown. Interested. How many minutes a day did you have to devote to this? I just finished cursing my mom body prior to reading your post. Also, I had to change my password so if you want to try it out let me know and I'll send you the new one.

I’ve heard you mention et before, and I’ve thought about watching it with S but I’m afraid it will be too sad. How does A do with it? I’m looking for some new good movies to watch but don’t know if he’d be ready. I was also thinking about the original Charlie and the chocolate factory movie (gene wilder). Has anyone watched that with their n 13 kids? My kids love ET. They loved Wizard of Oz too and it didn't scare them a bit (I was freaked out by that movie when I was around 8 yo). Jumanji new and old are hits in our house. They love Home Alone and the Indiana Jones movies. They really liked Honey I Shrunk the Kids but the first time there were some tears shed when Anty died. I'm going to introduce them to The Princess Bride soon. We just watched The New Karate Kid (Hilary Swank so new = 90s) and they enjoyed it so we're going back to watch the original. We haven't watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yet but it's on the list and I think they'd love it. They like the original Parent Trap and Swiss Family Robinson too. The other day I was scrolling through Hulu looking for a movie and Pennywise from the original It showed up huge on the screen. Both the girls exclaimed "I want to watch that." I told them they were way too young and would have nightmares. Madison was trying to compromise to watch it when she's 8. Yes! We were just saying how we think Dude would love Home Alone, Honey I shrunk the Kids, Karate Kid, and Princess Bride. We tried JAWS a couple weeks ago and it was too slow to hold his interest.

Just got back from Target, I had to exchange the swim diapers I bought Sunday b/c apparently I cannot read size labels. B asked for this new pool toy that lights up and the kid seriously never asks for anything so I got it for him; got home and saw on the label that it shoots water up to 35 feet. Awesome.
Meanwhile the 2nd and final end table will be here on Thursday! This is the firstliest of FWPs but I'm glad I'll have both in time for my ILs visit this weekend.
Speaking of, I'm kind of annoyed, MIL texted my H this morning asking if they could bring their dog that is not known for his bladder control. Nothing like waiting til the last minute--what am I supposed to say at this point? DH knows I'm irritated, I told him I would drop kick the thing into the pool if he even looks like he's going to pee on the new rug. No clue why they insist on bringing him...he hates our kids, hates our dog, and will basically be miserable.

S loves princess bride, Harry Potter, and all the Star Wars movies. I never can predict what will scare him. The first time he watched Moana he freaked out at the crab scene yet he’s been through the scary parts of all those movies.
Et makes me cry so I think we’ll just wait on that. But maybe we’ll try Charlie and the chocolate factory and goonies next

Evie still won't watch movies. She'd rather watch her Youtube videos on her tablet. I even turned on Coco one evening last week (because I really wanted to watch it) and asked her if she had watched it at DC yet. She looked up at it, told me no, and went back to her videos.

Re all the movies: maybe I’m crazy but imo lot of the Disney movies have something mean/scary in them. But I’m also known to be crazy overprotective 🙄.
A lot of those feature films aren’t translated in Dutch, they’ll have subtitles, so we’ll have to wait a few more years for those. I cannot wait to read him Charlie and HP and then watch the movies (yes in that order #booknerdforlife).

Death and dying don't seem to bother him (unless he talks about one of the chihuahuas we had to euthanize) but separation from family drives him to tears in a heartbeat.

M just started watching movies in the last year. He actually will watch more movies with real people than animation. His recent favorite is Little Rascals. The one he will watch over and over is Sing. Toy Story 2 was on this weekend and I got excited because he was actually watching it and seemed interested. It didn't last long. As soon as the mean Teddy Bear came on, he said he didn't want to watch it anymore. I guess M is sensitive to mean people/things, too.

I hope to read books before seeing movies as well, especially all the roal Dahl books. I still try to do that as an adult.

Hi hi - stunning day today. We had N's 18 month appt and she screamed throughout the whole exam, total cluster. She seemed fine from what I could make out over her yelling and John not sitting still trying to get our attention. Then had a meeting on campus and now trying to be productive but feeling overwhelmed and not actually doing much. Gah, get us through the next 2 weeks already!

Hello. I went to visit my students from the beginning of the year at their end of the year party today. As soon as I got home, I got a call from my kid’s school nurse but it was that my nephew was sick and they couldn’t find my sister. Luckily she was found before I had to go pick up a sick kid. Busy night tonight- right from pick up I have to get DD’s glasses fixed, then my sister was suppose to watch my kids while I help set up for DS’s graduation tomorrow but now my mom is doing that. I will then have to skip out of there early because we have baseball playoffs. Again my sister was going to head to that and I would meet up but now she can’t. We had playoffs last night and we always lose but we won 19-7 so now we have to play at least today and tomorrow and if we keep winning, also Thursday. If that happens, we will run out of pitchers because of pitch limits so that will be interesting.

We went to the park and then back to a friends house this morning. Now the boys are car napping. I'm about to run to A's work to drop off some insurance forms and maybe hit the train place if we have time. I have work to do tonight so I'm passing them off to A the second he gets home.

I pulled out some 0-3mo shorts for A. He's so short and chunky, they're so tight in the waist and go down to his ankles. Rolly Polly A!

Glad for a good update on C wedding. tallb ugh. Sorry for the frustrating morning. Hope she calms down and you have a better rest of the day. cagoldi well, to be fair, I love horror movies but I don't have the heart for Dumbo anymore. I think I could handle Bambi a tinge better but Dumbo tears at my sole when Jumbo sings Baby Mine. The old Disney movies are all fairy tales and the source material was totally effed up. They're tame considering the original stories, but still a bit scary. lahdeedah lolz, that brings back memories of toddler Maddie watching Toy Story 3 when it came out. She was freaked out by "that bear! that bear!" which she would wail when he came on the screen. "I don't like that naughty bear!" Eventually she did like the naughty bear and wanted to see all the parts with him in it. Goofy kid. We tease her about it now.

I’m so excited for Incredibles2! The first was N’s favorite movie for a while and she just asked to watch it over the weekend. Sadly, we lost our recording of it so need to find it again.
N and H were the incredibles kids for Halloween 2016, it was adorable!

Downtown is decorated for Pride month with rainbow flags and Cass was asking about them. I explained it's to support that people can love who they want. Some boys love girls, some boys love boys, etc. Last night at dinner she exclaimed that she can marry Madison because I said girls can marry girls. I need to fine-tune my message.

I do not understand people like this. My mom was never a crazy pet person, don't get me wrong--she always loved her pets, but she didn't get weird about it. But with their awful little ankle biter they won't crate him even though he pees in the house anytime they leave him alone so they literally take him everywhere and won't leave him home alone even for a few minutes (which is effing crazy to me). So it limits the time they can be out of the house with him in the car. She brought him to my house soon after she got him and he promptly took a dump right on my carpet. Luckily she never even attempted to bring him again. I think she was hoping he'd be this adorable purse dog she could take anywhere but has somewhat accepted she has a worthless dud.
