I just read in some Midwest meme that the term “muggy” for hot, humid weather is a Midwest thing. Is that true? Do other parts of the country not say that?

I just read in some Midwest meme that the term “muggy” for hot, humid weather is a Midwest thing. Is that true? Do other parts of the country not say that? We call that weather “earthquake weather”. But we say muggy too.

I guess I don’t say that a lot. But I don’t talk about the weather a lot. But if someone said it I would know immediately what they meant.

I just read in some Midwest meme that the term “muggy” for hot, humid weather is a Midwest thing. Is that true? Do other parts of the country not say that? Ohio & we all say muggy here. My family in PA says it too. Is there another word for hot & humid? Sometimes I add sticky. Muggy & really sticky outside.
edit: I say it a lot. It's an important distinction. If it's muggy, I'm going to be a ball of sweat in a minute.

I’m starting to think H might have IBS. I can’t seem to make anything lately that settles well with him. 🙁 I feel so bad for him.

The only ones I say are come with, pop, ope, and puppy chow (I’m assuming the food? What else is that called?). Nebraska. Although some would argue we aren’t Midwest.

I just turned the tv on and there is some show about Disney weddings being #relationship goals. The vows were all about Disney.

What do you guys call puppy chow?! I know what it is from TB, so I guess I'd say puppy chow if I ever came across it IRL, but that's never happened.

Get my BIL and SIL drunk and dear God. We have no clue what they are talking about. They find it hilarious though.

What do you guys call puppy chow?! I do use that one...but it’s the name of the recipe, right? That’s what I thought. I’ve actually never made it, although I did make something called Reindeer chow for my kid’s Christmas party. But it used Cinnamon Toast Crunch instead of Chex and no peanut butter since allergies.
