guster It's always tough when others judge your parenting. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are a great parent and a little screen time so you (and i'm sure everyone else) could enjoy your meal doesn't hurt anybody. flamingo Yay for summer camp! Sorry O is still having a rough time. snoopmommymom

Guys you need to stop me!!! I can’t stop spending money. For a change I bought a luxury item for myself too, but also another dress for dd, a shirt for ds, some car gifts for our road trip to Denmark, a wooden birdhouse so ds can paint it to give to my granddad and grandma and a bunch of little things...

Hi, morning all. My work week calendar seems a bit better; I might squeeze in a car tune up appointment and head to the Dr myself. I've been randomly spotting through the month, generally around my ovulation time. I dont want to google, but if anyone has any experience I'd like to know what I should be asking my Dr about. I'm not on any birth control/IUD, or drugs etc. My last pap was January 2017, a couple months after J was born and all came back ok. Spotting during ovulation can be totally normal.

She tried to get out of going to school today because her head hurt. I told her I'd give her medicine so it wouldn't hurt anymore. Miraculously, it was feeling better by the time we left. I still gave her tylenol anyways though.

I bought my granddad some really nice chocolate and a drink he really likes, nothing special but I know he’ll like it. My grandma turned 85 and my sisters and I had a really nice pearl necklace made for her, so no gift stress there, pfiew.

Thanks for thinking of N flamingo! Saturday she woke up totally fine (well still a bit snotty and drooly), but back to her normal self. She is thankfully back at school🙌. Granted they moved her two teachers out so she was sad and I was mad to have to leave her there. guster that is super rude to say something, try to let it roll off your back. I admit that I side eyed my sis a bit for letting her kids stay up on iPads until like 10:30 last weekend at my brother's graduation after my kids went home with mh at 8, but I didn't actually say anything to her about it. I recognize we have different parenting styles and that is fine. I don't know how I feel about it. I keep thinking of what the alternative would be. The kids ate and then played with a sticker book for a bit and then I moved them to their iPads so the rest of us could continue to eat. If I didn't pass those screens along, either I'd have to remove myself from the situation to entertain them or they'd easily make it miserable for everybody else while they tried to enjoy brunch. MH and I don't have help. The other kid at the wedding had both sets of grandparents there, two aunts and an uncle. MH and I have each other and sometimes when we want to eat or have a conversation with another adult or pack a house or talk to a plumber, we don't have a choice, but to offer a screen. ETA: I guess it struck a deeper nerve then I thought it did. Sounds fine to me. I know I am more pearl-clutchy about tablets than most but this is exactly what they're for, IMO. If you aren't handing it to them in lieu of interacting then what's the problem?

Morning.
Helping my parents with some construction and then taking X to his first therapy visit. I'm not optimistic since it's smack in the middle of naptime.

I had this for about 6 months while trying to get pregnant with L. It turned out to be just that, spotting with ovulation which the Dr said is pretty common.

I did an hour at the gym and now I'm following up on a lot of stuff and doing payroll.
More delays with the house and frustration and A actually agreed that we never should have used his family. They have screwed us royally. I'm just trying not to cry because I have phone calls to make.

cagoldi good luck, fingers crossed it helps. Let me know if you get any good advice, still struggling with food over here. Will do. Pete keeps saying he just thinks X is a late bloomer since he has been on the tail end of normal for most milestones. I get that he could think that when it comes to utensils or something but actual desire to eat solids?! Something else is going on. I know he's bright; his receptive language is excellent and even though he's not a big talker, he will have a 5-7 word sentence out of nowhere sometimes. I'll let you know what they say. Have they ever had any guess as to why DS doesn't eat much? I'm sorry you're still struggling. It's the most frustrating feeling.

peachsmama , will it push back your wall delivery? The house may be delivered sooner now but it won't be set. The basement walls should be formed Saturday and poured the next Saturday and the floor the following Saturday. My biggest frustration is that my FIL and grandpa refuse to communicate with my builder. Instead A's grandma, who has nothing to do with the business is apparently their new bestie and talks to them constantly and is deciding when my house will be here. I'm thisclose to losing my damn mind on all of them.

So cute Goldi! A just started smiling this weekend! So far he's just smiled once each morning, but it's adorable.

She STTN 9:30-7:30 two nights in a row so FX that means her reflux is settling a bit. She fussed a few hours beforehand but we're not having hours long screamfests the last handful of days.

Awesome progress on the house mwhip , were those the last couple projects? I feel like it will never be 'complete.' But yes, we are getting close. The only rooms left to paint are Evie's bedroom and her playroom. We have someone coming tomorrow to install screen doors on our front and back doors. Next week the company will be out to refinish the kitchen hardwoods. Then we want to repaint all the trim in the house, which I have already told H, is a rainy, yucky weekend job to tackle. We would spend the rest of the summer painting trim if we wanted to.

vino I agree, spotting can happen around ovulation. I'm an annual Ob visitor. I've had too many issues, plus my mom has had issues, that I'm way to scared to not go regularly. If you're worried, go ahead and go visit, just to put your mind at ease.

That's one thing with having a preemie too is that A is doing things later so I had to wait 3 months for that first smile!

jewels No, i either need to give him Motrin and send him on his way or bring him to our retreat, which won’t go over well. lahdeedah I can’t get O to rinse with the nystatin. It’s yellow and creamy. I think it’s a tutti fruity flavor but he cried and started to gag before he even smelt it. How often did you guys do it? And how long before it worked? His tongue is pretty white...

cagoldi thanks. They said I could be due to the fact he was born so small (little under 5 pounds, but 38w6d). These kids are apparently more likely to have solid food issues, his sense off hunger almost isn’t there and his gag reflex was huge. He threw up almost every day during mealtime for a year after starting solids. So I’m suspecting he has a bad association with food. I have a meeting with a child physician at the end of July, curios to hear what he/she has to say.
