Hi.
After we put the kids to bed last night I went to Target solo and it was heaven. Target on a Sunday night is the place to be...no people, just quiet. Bliss.
Today we are dropping off some library books and picking up some on reserve, and hitting the grocery store.

A long, but good weekend. Josie was a very adorable flower girl, and Charlie surprised me and lasted until 930 at the wedding before he needed to get to the hotel immediately. We did miss his window by about five minutes so we had a couple of hairy moments. My cousin was in from out of town, and he's always on some new (and often odd) health/spiritual trend. His latest is that he does keto, intermittent fasting and believes in the power of the sun to heal everything. He walked me out on Sunday morning to tell me that he didn't think it was right that my kids were watching screens during the brunch because the blue light is bad for their eyes. I hate stuff like that because it sticks with me even though I know that what I was doing was right for our kids and our sanity at that moment. I spent the first half an hour of the car ride home complaining/justifying to M that I know our kids are balanced. They play outside; they play with toys and books and like to do crafts; they're social; and they also happen to watch screens. So annoying.

guster I know what you mean... I hate comments/studies/news articles that make me doubt every decision, even tough our kids are doing great!

Had a quiet morning with dd, so nice. Taking a stroll into town to get something for my granddad and I need to figure out something to get him myself... what do you give an almost deaf, poor sighted 92yo?!

Morning! Just doing a 5am feeding over here. It's been rough but we're trekking along. Today I'm going to the mall to walk around. Otherwise home figuring out E.

nam2013 Unless there's something specific they need, I like consumables for older people...favorite treats, baked goods, etc. One thought, though--I had an aunt who lost her sight but had loved to read, so she really enjoyed books-on-tape. Not sure if something like that would be an option but just a thought.

I turned C's alarm off since he needs to get up in 10 minutes. I will stay up, wake him up and then go back to sleep. Hopefully he doesn't make too much noise to wake up E. I will not be happy.

Morning, all! The whole family is still in bed. Hubs and I are listening to a squirrel on the roof. So I guess you could say it's lit over here. We're off to Costco this afternoon. I would love to go it alone, flamingo. That sounds glorious. But no. The babe and husband are joining me.

Question, because I can't remember. For those would did an epidural did your back hurt afterwards. My back still hurts where the epidural was placed and I don't know if I had this last time or if it is common.

ladystrat I hate going to Costco without C. When I do go alone I feel like it's a million times harder to get what we need.

My back still hurts where the epidural was placed and I don't know if I had this last time or if it is common. The first one, no. The second one, yes. But I was poked three times and bruised all up and down my back, so that likely had something to do with it. It wasn't too bad for me, though, and was gone within a week or so.

Morning! I wanted to take the kids to the splash park this morning, but it's not supposed to get warm until later on. We have dinner plans later with a friend in town. We're going to a kosher restaurant and I'm slightly bummed because it doesn't look like they serve alcohol... FWP.

Just got my allergy shots, so now I'm waiting for the ok to leave. I only have a 3 day work week. Yay!

A friend of mine was sore for months, but mine was only a few days to a week or so.

We are not off to a good start. Was up multiple times with both kids. Z cried at drop off. O won’t eat and just spit up all of his amoxicillin dose. His fever also came back again in the night.
His nose is 100% blocked and he won’t even attempt to blow it. Not sure how to get things moving. So far the meds don’t seem to do anything but make him gag and give him diarrhea. Ugh.
God i hope he turns a corner today. I have to go to our staff retreat tomorrow. It’s weird but last week i was trying to convince my boss to do Wednesday instead of Tuesday but i had no reason why Tuesday didn’t work. I feel like it was some kind of intuition on why Tuesday wasn’t a good day.

I remember worrying that it was permanent but it went away.

guster I hate when people insert their opinions about your parenting choices! O is practically glued to his tablet while he’s sick if that makes you feel better. I’m going on vacation with my parents and sisters in two weeks. I’m gearing up for a lot of opinions on what I’m doing wrong as their mom.

Morning. I woke up to both girls in my bed this morning. I always get so hot because they lay on both sides of me. The only plan I have for today is to go to aldi for some groceries.

I hate it when people make comments like that guster 🙄🙄🙄 It sometimes bothers me when people question my parenting as well. nam2013 oh man that’s a tough one... is his vision so bad that he can’t read Extra large print books?? I feel sad for him... reading would be something hard to let go of when you love it (I do!) Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!! I ate a lot of sugar yesterday... I don’t usually do that so I’m feeling it today. 😫 My stomach is very uncomfortable.

snoopmommymom sorry O is still having a tough time. chrisy01 I honestly can’t remember what it was like after the epi the 2nd time. It must not have been too bad if I’m blocking it out.
