I’m like 4 seconds from checking into a hotel with a spa tonight. Ooh that’s a really good idea. I just need Uber to get me there. I opened some wine while H was napping on the couch instead of doing anything to make up for yesterday. Now he’s sulking because I called it out once he got up and asked me what was for dinner. After telling me last night we would go out tonight. I just can’t even tonight and I’m honestly questioning a lot of things right now.

I’m emotionally drained and told myself no booze until after 4pm. So now I have a glass of wine because it’s 4:15. We are currently a 1 car family and I’m stuck at the house for 4 days in a row and walking the neighborhood in the AM is my only outlet, because it’s too hot later in the day. I’m only on day 2 and going out of my mind. Do you have any friends or family that can take you on an outing? Unfortunately not this time. Everyone is an hour or more away and busy. We are hoping to get the car on Monday, if it all checks out. It’s just the worst timing cause MH works his 4 12 hours shifts.

DS was never a good sleeper, but went through a 6/8 month period before his eye diagnosis where he would kind of half sleep at night. He’d sleep from 7:30-9:30, then moan/yell and toss and turn until 8 the next morning. Anytime I’d check on him, he wasn’t fully awake and nothing I did settled him, so I’d let him work it out in his crib. Our house is small. He was so loud. I didn’t sleep for that entire time. It was a literal nightmare.
Obviously, he was in some degree of discomfort, which makes me feel awful. The second he recovered from his enucleation he started sleeping and has been a boss for the most part since. He did the moaning thing the other night for 4.5 hours and it triggered an anxiety attack.

Have to survive an IKEA return with all my family in tow but later tonight I'm meeting emma at a steakhouse and it's the perfect dreary, pouring rain weather for a dim lounge with a bourbon. I am so ready for this. I need to get home and into my steak eating pants first

This baby doesn’t want a paci. I was sure my older boys would go to college with their is pacifiers.
I wish ds3 would because he is teething and I’m not a chew toy.

I woke up from a nap and my family is gone so I'm watching ANTM. It's like a dream come true.

DH scheduled a consultation for a vasectomy. It feels so...final. And I have a lot of feels. Who even am I? Same, but we still haven't committed to the big snip. I think it's the finality of it and the fact that I just need a little danger in my life. Hugs 💙

You definitely deserve to treat yourself and not deal with that nonsense right now. At least order yourself your favorite take out.

H turns 40 tomorrow, so we are heading to the Casino. We are staying over night. I plan on visiting the outlets there too.

Especially since the poor baby is teething and when we are home, wants to nurse 24/7.

MH was off today, so we took the boys on an adventure. Everyone was super well behaved and happy and hopefully worn out. Looking forward to a shower and a unisom since I only slept about 3 hours last night

MH is going to be helping FIL all day tomorrow so now I have no plans. I guess I should start on thank you cards. I wanted to have them all done by next Sunday so I can get addresses from my mom and then get them out soon after.

So I’d love to go to Chicago, but we have an out of state wedding the next weekend and I’m worried it’ll be too much. Is it lame to just do dinner somewhere? It is, isn’t it. Nope. I didn't do anything special last year for my 30th. Dinner, drinks, relaxing. It's whatever sounds most enjoyable to you.

My office mate just got engaged and asked for help ring shopping for his fiancée. First he wanted to know what jewellers I recommended. Then he told me his fiancée prefers an eternity band without a centre stone. Then he says he wants to look to buy at People’s (the Canadian Kay). I am losing interest.

DH completely believes that I am going into labor tonight and she will be born tomorrow.
I don't see it. Or rather feel it.

I was very specific in what I wanted for my 30th and DH delivered! A few hours alone in the tidy house, a chocolate cupcake from a legit bakery, and take out for dinner that I didn't have to choose and order for everyone (he went the literal extra mile and found a shawarma place so he got so many bonus points for that!). If a nice dinner out ticks your box, then it's just right.
