Cadence starts her new dance class tonight. She, of course, didn't eat anything at lunch today, so I have to find her a healthy snack to eat in the car on the way there. I'm at work and the only thing I can find not sugar or salt coated is peanut butter crackers. I'm just going to start making her lunch every day. I hate when she refuses to eat there.

Hello from the construction zone.

We are basically going to be using FIL's house as home base for the next handful of days.

X was supposed to have his first feeding therapy visit this afternoon. They called me about an hour ago and said they had to cancel because the guy they set it with doesn't work with kids under two.

Well.

He's fast approaching two, still eats virtually no solids, and why didn't you know that when you scheduled me initially? So they don't have another therapist with any availability and they will call me when a spot opens. Bullshit. His eval was what? 6 weeks ago? And they tell me this every week. Figure something out. The kid isn't eating a goddamn thing so it's a little more urgent than just regular OT stuff. I'm so aggravated right now.

Poor girl. I remember them doing that with Atticus because he was macrosomic and yes, people were coming in constantly.

It's the only facility contracted with our medical group.

Private, but the kids are on HMO and we're limited by the network.

So they found a spot for me on Mondays at 1:30. Not ideal since I can't imagine how he's going to participate during nap time but we'll see how it goes.

Maybe once you get him in you can get another time slot if something frees up. We started B's speech the same way--during nap time--b/c it was the only available appt. I just asked every couple weeks and managed to get him moved relatively quickly. 

Also, from what my sister has said schedules for this type of thing often change over the summer while school is out, so maybe something will open up soon.
