Hi.
We are headed out to ride the light-rail today! I’m participating in a classic children’s books reading group this summer and this week’s theme is Things that Move, so I am trying to plan some activities to accompany what we’re reading. B is beyond excited, he has been asking to ride it since we moved here 😂😂

Good morning! It’s supposed to be 90 degrees today so I think, depending on how S is, we might actually go to the swimming pool finally this afternoon. Everyone (except me) woke up with too much energy. S feels fever free and is in a good mood. I had a dentist appt later this morning and then I work at Lowe’s this evening.

Morning ladies! I cleaned the crap out of the house last night. I'm tired of H always bitching about what a mess everything is, so since he was gone, it was good time to take care of some things. I'm sure it will last about 1 day, but it felt good to wake up this morning to a clean house.
I also managed to vacuum up a mashem...I took the Shark apart as much as I could last night and never found it, so I need to google where it could possibly be hiding. I also let Evie know that when I tell her to pick her things up, she needs to pick them up. Although, I thought I could push the damn thing out of the way and that it wouldn't physically get sucked up. Who knew??? I hate that damn vacuum anyway, so I won't cry if I have to buy a new one.

Morning! It’s a beautiful day here. Work as usual and then I’m golfing in a ladies day event tonight. Should be a good time!
H has lost all interest he had in the potty. He was going multiple times a day for few weeks and now he has zero interest. I’m okay with that though because I don’t think he was really ready so I’d rather just take a break for a while.

I'm going to see how much it costs and add it to our summer bucket list.

I'm super tired and dizzy today. Like can't walk in a straight line. Is that what vertigo is? I'm giving it time but if it continues through lunch I'm going to head out.

Hi, morning. Currently on my ‘Things that Move’ aka the bus. I watched the Bachelorette last night and passed out by 10pm, but I’m still a little sleepy today. Hopefully work is amazing 😉

Morning! wedding, I hope you feel better soon! it's gross and gray here. I really need the sunshine. I'm running out of an indoor things to do. We're definitely going to hit up the Starbucks and possibly check out one of the play centers in town in a little bit, but everybody woke up before six and I think they're both pooped.

Morning!! 1 week left until my due date. I'm exhausted. I only sleep for about an hour or two at a time. I guess my body is preparing me for the baby 🤷♀️. LO has dentist today and then at school it's Water play day. I'm glad I didn't volunteer for that.

Morning. I kept N home yesterday bc she had a fever overnight, but then was fine all day..of course she woke up with another low grade one today.. so here I am again trying to work with a 18 month old climbing all over me. And of course I am slammed at work and have a ton of school work to do.
I canceled the trip last night. Too much going on and the celebration of life is Sat morning, which I am glad I can make. We may try to visit the bride in Idaho at some point, but I'm kind of blah on everything right now, so not in a rush to plan anything.

Morning! Just A and I today. I'm cleaning and meal prepping. Heading to boot camp shortly and told myself I need to run 3 times this week, so planning on that. I haven't run much since L was born, so it's not pretty.

How are you guys doing today dapostrophe? Guys- please post or PM me your go-to’s or EASY healthier meals. My kids eat terribly (and so do I, frankly) I’ve decided that when we move I’m going to actually cook and somehow get them to actually eat what I make. 🙂 .... I hear if it’s all you give them they will eventually eat it... 😏😩

sands42 The book flamingo suggested awhile back, The Well Behaved Child, has a section on food and mealtimes that I just read. LSS you only make them what you're going to eat and don't allow them any other food if they refuse it or only take 1 bite, etc. If they refuse the food completely, they go to bed early. He also talks about having the "doctor visit your house." You tell them you talked to the doctor about them not eating their food and she said it must be because they were too tired to eat. So if they refuse to eat what you made them, off to bed they go. I'm paraphrasing a lot but it seems pretty brilliant. I can get more detailed in a pm later if you want.

sands42 Have y'all ever tried quinoa? I have some good recipes with quinoa. I honestly try to hide veggies in whatever we eat and use turkey in lieu of beef. Spaghetti/meatballs for example. You can use whole grain pasta, chop up zucchini super small to hide in the sauce and add in some pureed veggies in the turkey meatballs.

Just spent most of yesterday afternoon and the past 2 hours working on pulling information on all these past files, put it nice and neat in a spreadsheet and then the attorney says, oh, I only needed the ones for this particular client. Seriously? You couldn't have told me that YESTERDAY!?!?!?

That sounds like "How to Wake the Hellbeast Within Your Child". Cadence would be pissed. In general, she's pretty good about eating 1 or 2 things on her plate and I"m pretty good about making sure there is 1 or 2 things she will eat on the plate. Mh, not so much.

He says most kids get furious but after a week or two they realize they need to suck it up and eat. It makes more sense when you read the whole chapter.

@trgimes I will check that book out! Thanks! I like quinoa but my younger two won’t touch it. Giovanna will eat much better than them. She definitely will give quite a few things a shot. Letty doesn’t eat any fruit for example 🙄 I’m Just going to have to force it.

sands42 , Cadence goes to town on Quorn chik'n nuggets and broccoli tots. She doesn't realize they aren't actually chicken or that there is broccoli in the tots(even though they are green).
Cadence will also be more willing to try things if she helped make them.
