Congrats sunshiney! FX for a great beta on Thurs! orangehibiscus, got a positive opk over the weekend, H and I decided to forgo the IUI this cycle. We just weren't feeling it. I think I O'd today so our timing should be good at least. Meet with the RE tomorrow should have a plan from there.

I had my baseline and labs today. The doctor that did my ultrasound was not so gentle with the vag cam and there was a new phlebotomist that kept moving the needle around, so it was overall not a pleasant appointment (not that the vag cam usually is LOL)!
The cyst was measuring 40mm and when they called me later this morning, they said my labs looked good. But the RE in charge recommended waiting another month for the cyst to shrink and they want me to take birth control for a month to try to help it shrink. It's a combo pill, so hopefully it doesn't mess with my hormones too much... it's Microgestin- anyone take that kind before?

Ouch! Sorry you had a rough appointment meggo. I’ve never been on that kind of BCP before, but I hope it shrinks that cyst!

Thanks for thinking of me ladies! Appointment went well, we love our RE. Basically we've decided to go forward with IVF after this cycle. Due to travel etc I may have to be on BC for a while before starting stims but oh, well.

When do you think you’ll be able to start stims? Assuming all goes well, I could start stims mid-July, but we're leaving on Aug 5th for a trip so that's cutting it a bit close. Otherwise I'll stim in August while H is OOT and then to the retrieval right when he gets back at the end of August. Oh, and my RE decided to run repeat loss testing (I've had 2 losses, not consecutive) to make sure we're not missing anything prior to IVF. So something could come up there that'd we'd need to address first which would definitely push us back.

Welp. CD1 for me today. So if I O’d when I had my super positive opk, I had a 14 day LP, but then wtf was the horrible o-like pain I had last week.....? A cyst maybe? If the o-pain was actually ovulation then I had an 8 day LP. I’m so confused. But at least this cycle is over. I thought meds were supposed to make things less confusing, not more.....

Had my baseline today. Had to go in to a different location and it was a huge hassle and all for nothing. 4 cm cyst on my right ovary so no meds this cycle. Frankly I’m relieved. A break from the meds and appointments sounds great. My lack of disappointment both in CD1 and a cyst has me wondering if I really want to continue.

I totally get the feeling of relief, that’s why we chose not to do an IUI this cycle - A break from the appointments and schedule sounded great (and it was! Lol).

CD1 is finally here! I will call the RE tomorrow and let her know. I’ll start Femara on Tuesday. We’re upping the Follistim dose to 100units daily this cycle. IVF consult is on Wednesday.

obscureference I'm so sorry about the cyst! Hopefully it's gone by next cycle. I understand the relief of getting a break. orangehibiscus Good luck this cycle! I hope the increased follistim helps and I hope your consult goes well tomorrow!

Had the IVF consult today. It went really well, and I love my RE so much! She is so awesome at explaining things. Unfortunately, the financial counselor was out on vacation, so we didn’t get to talk to her today. She will call us when she gets back. That’s the biggest reservation for me/is at this point.
I also need to lose more weight, but I’ve made a good start so far...I’m down 12lbs. I will have to do the majority of scans and labs are my RE’s clinic, so that will take a lot of pre-planning. My boss is amazing, and she said we will make it work. I’m thinking we would do IVF either in November or in March. Due to weather concerns, I don’t want to have to drive 4 hours every other day with the possibility of a lot of snow on the ground.
I’m still trying to process all of this information, and we definitely need to talk to the financial counselor. I feel better about doing IVF though.

orangehibiscus I’m glad your consult went well. And amazing job losing 12 lbs!! Will you still do medicated cycles until you’re ready for IVF?

orangehibiscus I’m glad your consult went well. And amazing job losing 12 lbs!! Will you still do medicated cycles until you’re ready for IVF? Thank you! H and I are undecided what we will do if this cycle is completed and a bust. Part of me would want to keep trying, but the other part of me would want to save the $$ for IVF. I don’t want to stop trying though. If we do November IVF, then I would have to go on BCP late Sept/early Oct. Until then, I would imagine we could continue medicated TI cycles. If we don’t end up doing IVF until March, then imagine we would do 1-2 more medicated TI cycles. I’m not sure though. I think H wants to take a break. Plus, that could be “wasting” money that we could/should be saving for IVF. I just keep going back to what if the next TI cycle is the successful one??

orangehibiscus, I'm so glad it went well! I'm right with you on the timing, I keep thinking the next cycle might be it and then we wouldn't have to do IVF. It all messes with your mind so much.

Yes it does...ugh! Where are y’all at in your IVF timing/decisions? Although we'd like to do it right away (CD1 should be this weekend) that's just not in the cards. H hasn't heard back about his travel in August so we're still a bit up in the air. Although, I'm leaning towards another TI or IUI cycle and then we'd start BC in August and retrieval right at the end of the month/beginning of Sept. All in all it's still pretty soon.

orangehibiscus, I really only test if I'm sure i.e. temp is up and AF has stayed away so.....no not gonna test until then. LP is usually 11 or 12 days and I'm currently 10dpo so we will know soon.
