Trump disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles (my ride or die team) to come to the WH tomorrow. They are quite liberal and the owner, Jeffrey Lurie, was sending a small delegation of players to represent them while the rest volunteered to community causes. I guess Trump didn’t want to be embarrassed.
I’ve never been more proud to be an Eagles fan.

ladybrienne I grew up a giants fan (before my defection to the patriots). Therefore I was obligated to hate the eagles on principle. A chunk of that hatred died today with this news. My heart has warmed in a way I didn’t think possible. A chunk died when you looked so happy at the parade too. I was like...”well if brienne likes them how bad can they be?” Damnit I don’t think I can hate the eagles anymore. The Flyers though...

Have y'all talked about this? There is so much to unpack here, even with her awesome breakdown and timeline. This meeting and subsequent fallout was even bigger than I realized. They know it's a problem. |

It really is tough to hate this team, their owner is pretty liberal and has always stood by the players, he’s a really good man. And the players have been outspoken and they put action behind their words. A lot of these guys are legit political activists. I absolutely love this team. We will have to table your flyers hate for another time and ride this current good feeling. |

Also adding to this liking the Eagles struggle. I grew up Mets and Giants fan and have always felt very adversarial to Philly teams... Damn it!

I don't feel sorry for her because she made that bed but I think a bigger deal is being made about it than necessary. I think we've gotten used to first ladies taking a more active public role. |
