C has to go to work at a different store today so I have to take LO to school. I'm going to take a nap when I get home.

Fridays are always nice at work because it's just me and my work friend. Although today is the first start day our main gate will be shut down. It will be a total shit show. The a-holes didn't announce until a week ago that it's going to be closed for 4 months. That's 1000s of cars everyday that will have to go alternative routes that aren't designed for that much traffic. Of course they won't authorize work from home even though it would be very feasible for me to just come in one day a week and do the rest at home. 😣

Also what road project on an area that small takes 4 effing months? Thank you government for hiring overpriced contractors who are dragging the job out instead of using our troops who are bored, you don't have to pay any extra, and would love the job.

Yes mwhip, this week has felt eternally long for me too. And at the same time, I feel like there’s not enough hours in the day to get everything done. How does that work? 🤔

And LOL to the contractor situation. I see that nothing is different on the west coast than here  

I remember when they were doing work on one of the gates here to the main base (60,000 workers everyday, minimum) and the traffic was heinous. Took my H an hour to get to work and it was literally 2 miles from our house. Here they typically stagger start-times when all the carriers are in port b/c that's an extra 15-20,000 people coming aboard each day. Still not great but it helps.

Morning Ladies, I was up at 5:00, but I was luckily able to fall back asleep. Not feeling great, but that never seems to mean anything!

I am planning to call my OBs when they open to give them a peice of my mind. They better look out...I'm overdue, uncomfortable, and I'm definitely not in the mood for playing games 😡

Morning. Yesterday after nap S woke up with a 102 fever. After some Motrin she was back to her normal self. Then when it wore off it was back up, etc. She woke me around 3:15am because she wanted to go potty. I took her temp at that time and it was 103. The weird thing is she doesn’t have any other symptoms really. She was coughing some last night when she was laying down, but not at all during the day. I just checked H and my temp and we both have a low fever. We were supposed to go to the pool today after nap but that’s obviously not happening now

We just got back from a DD run b/c it's national donut day. A holiday I can truly get behind...

I have literally mountains of laundry to do b/c B has wet the bed TWO nights in a row. Seriously I can't even tell you the last time he had an accident, probably last summer sometime? Anyway, somehow it got on the pillows and his stuffed animals, too, and night before last on his quilt. So I did a ton of laundry yesterday and get to repeat it all today. Yay.

Poor S trtlcrzy. Hope she bounces back quickly and it's just a 24-hour thing. B had something similar recently, a nasty cold that started with just a fever of 102-103. But the fever was his only symptom, initially. Weird.

Oh, I also looked in S’s ears with my otoscope yesterday to check for an EI. Both ears looked fine but the tube she has remaining was just hanging out in her ear canal so I guess she doesn’t have tubes anymore.

No one brought donuts into my office, but that's probably for the best. I think all of us women are trying to watch what we eat. And if I had to decide between my Chia yogurt and a donut, the donut would win every damn time!

I finished watching Safe on Netflix last night and started Evil Genius. How do I not even remember hearing about this on the news? I just watched the first episode and really wanted to start the 2nd, but it was 10 and I'm old.
