Timing contractions 😱 I’m only 39 weeks today; I wasn’t expecting this! We’re at my grandmother’s for lunch so I’m keeping it on the down low so I don’t get everyone’s hopes up. Exciting! Both my kids were born at 37 weeks- it’s funny how unprepared I felt because I thought I had more time. Keep us posted!

I have mastitis. Got started on an antibiotic, but damn I feel like warmed up shit. My H is being amazing though, he's doing all the parenting and even made me chicken noodle soup for lunch. I got it on Tuesday- I had no idea how awful it was. I felt better about 36 hours after starting antibiotics, hope you do too! On the downside, the antibiotic they chose is wreaking havoc on my stomach. Kind of trading one problem for another... sorry lady! I've had the antibiotic they put me on before, so I started a probiotic with it this afternoon. The last time I had it I was also told to go ahead and eat with it because of how harsh it is. I hope you're feeling better!

I'm so ready to be done with the vomiting. I was feeling okay this morning, and then I got sick, and then I felt like crap. Also, why is my cat so freaking stubborn!? He keeps climbing into the pnp. Every time we pull him out, say no, and give him a swat. Half an hour later we're doing it again...

Our cats loved the crib and bottom of the bassinet before DS arrived, but they had zero interest in them once he was using them.

Can I do a mini rant? I’m 6 weeks post partum and my weight hasn’t budged since I left the hospital. Not one bit. I know my body is probably adjusting to feeding twins, but I would have hoped to see the scale move slightly.

I am still pregnant. DH is so impatient. It was funny with DD1 he had no problem waiting....now he has been pacing since 37 weeks.

Contractions let up when I laid down in bed last night. We’ll see how today goes.

Yesterday ended up being super emotional and tough. The parents decided they didn't want my milk anymore. I understand their concern over antibiotics, but I still took it really hard. But now I'm focusing on the joys of being able to quit pumping once the mastitis is cleared. I am glad it happened yesterday though instead of on my birthday today.

A couple doses of Sudafed helped dry me up with my middle. Something about the milk ducts and sinuses being similar tissue, I think.

Currently timing contractions. They are uncomfortable, not yet painful, but they've been coming since about 7 am. About 12 minutes apart at this point. I never did this with my first pregnancy, so I feel all sorts of FTM crazy/nervous. I wish my water would just break so I would know for sure that I'm in labor! LOL

Second, I didn't realize you were pumping for them and I can totally see why you are shocked and upset that they don't want you to continue now that you're on antibiotics. I'm sorry. I bet it will be really freeing though, once you are feeling better.

Thanks for the reminder to add Sudafed to my shopping list. Despite having had a double mastectomy I still had some milk come in last time and it really freaked me out and hurt like hell. No thank you, ma'am.

It’s baby day! I’m admitted and my water has been broken. Next stop: epidural!

I’m 40+1 today and hooked up to the NST machine right now. Heartbeat looks good but no contractions in sight. I am so done with this pregnancy - but at the same time this will probably be the last time I’m pregnant so it’s kind of a bittersweet end.

Lord Disick wow that’s some back story. I can only imagine it was for a scary reason so I’m glad you’re here and having this special baby!

The mastectomies we're preventative so no cancer, just super high risk. My mom is a two time survivor though and her first diagnosis was at 31 and when she was breastfeeding me so it was something I just needed to not have to worry and just enjoy having babies and being a mom.

Lord Disick I suspected that might be the case for some reason (from how you said it). what a hugely significant decision for you to make. No doubt the best one for your family. Those hormones are determined huh? Sudafed is an interesting tip. I’ll definitely believe them when they say don’t take that stuff when nursing then!

Apparently the amount of breast tissue necessary to make milk is absolutely tiny. So weird.

Unless you kept your nipples? Sorry, probably TMI, my best friend just went through mastectomy after cancer and she had so many questions regarding nursing and such.

I was able to keep my nipples so some of it did leak out but most of it had nowhere to go.

W slept so much better last night! I’m pretty sure she has reflux but dr won’t diagnose until 6 weeks. She seems happier with the tactics were trying which is a relief. Poor thing.
Meanwhile I didn’t have time to shower today and was running to do daycare drop off then meet a friend. She just cancelled cause her son is sick. I’m so happy! I can have a nice hot shower and some breakfast at home now. I feel bad for enjoying the cancellation but I’ll see her next week instead, all good.
