Holy engorgement. I don't remember how long this lasts, is it okay to hand pump a little bit at this time it should I stick to just hand expression? I pumped because it was so bad and painful ... just enough to relieve the pain. I felt so much better Same!!

I broke down crying to dh tonight. I feel like Gemma is never happy, when she isn’t sleeping she’s fussy and non stop spitting/throwing up. She has reflux so that’s a huge factor but i feel like I can’t make her happy. She doesn’t want other people to hold her she cries but when I do she’s still not content. I don’t think it’s as bad as I feel like but I’ve been feeling so sleep deprived and just beaten down. I also start feeling so guilty for feeling frustrated, like I just need to be more patient. Okay sorry this turned into a paragraph

Okay sorry this turned into a paragraph I’m so sorry. This is how my older son was and it sucked the life out of me. It was so hard to watch him cry despite us holding him and trying to comfort him. I took a lot of it on myself, especially because I was nursing, and it made it much harder for me. With this baby, he cries nonstop for a few hours every evening and vomits a lot all day long (not reflux, not sure why), and I’ve started passing him off to H and we take turns. Even though he’s “better” with me, I need this for my sanity (and my relationship with my big kid).

Okay sorry this turned into a paragraph Hugs mama. I hear you and I’m in it with you. E is not a very happy baby either. I will say around the 5 week mark when she started to rally wake up and be more alert she has gotten seeeter and happier. We still have some hurdles with her reflux which I think is 90% of her unhappiness. She prefers me and only likes to be held. Just this week she has tolerated the bouncy seat for 5-10 minutes at a time.

birkmmm we all feel for you cause it can seem like you’re the only one but we’ve all been there/will be at some point. It’s ok to be frustrated and flustered, it doesn’t take away from any of your love for your baby. When sleep is minimal and you can’t seem to get a win with an upset baby, there is no room for patience or rational thoughts. This shit is hard. And sometimes it feels like we can’t catch a break. Then you soon have a good day and it’s great. You’re doing awesome.

I appreciate you guys though I feel like we are going through the exact same thing. My first was such an easy happy content baby. And E is the exact opposite. The first 2 weeks I was crying everyday, more so bc of hormones but then weeks 3-5 i was crying a couple times a week bc of just how hard this baby was and I felt so defeated. I am feeling s lot better now though and I do think things are getting better

So I have been having contractions the last few days, but they aren't timeable and they start and stop. One woke me at 6 this morning, but nearly 2 hours later----nothing..
Ugh. So frustrating.
Although my older DD was excited because her best friend is coming over to play-so she wants the baby to hang out in me until at LEAST tomorrow night.

robot and of course DH thinks ANY contraction means "go to hospital. labor." I am just 39 weeks, so I am not expecting anything yet.

(Putting aside the guilt which I know is hard). Hugs

I don't even use the word contraction around MH unless I'm trying to freak him out a bit. If I say that I need to stop unloading the dishwasher because bending down is giving me (BH) contractions he's waiting on me hand and foot the rest of the day.

I'm so sorry you've been feeling that way, birkmmm. I agree with others that you need to take a break and get out of the house for a bit. YH and the baby will be ok and it might help you feel human again. Hugs.

I pulled out my Ktan and it really seems too tight prior to putting L into it. How can I tell if it's too small? I have less than a week before I'd need to return it so I should figure that out.

Do you have a cat? I always try out carriers using my cat. I have heard that ktans stretch out a lot though so it's probably fine.

I know my dog worked, but my dog is 15 lbs. My cat is only 7 lbs which is more where F is going to be

My best friends birthday is on the 22nd and she always has a get together/BBQ the weekend of. I told her last night that I feel like F will get passed around a lot. She said nope, F is her baby, they can have her 2 year old. I said that I'm pretty sure she's going to have to fight some of the other girls, and one in particular, about that XD

I have mastitis. Got started on an antibiotic, but damn I feel like warmed up shit. My H is being amazing though, he's doing all the parenting and even made me chicken noodle soup for lunch.

Timing contractions 😱 I’m only 39 weeks today; I wasn’t expecting this! We’re at my grandmother’s for lunch so I’m keeping it on the down low so I don’t get everyone’s hopes up.

I got it on Tuesday- I had no idea how awful it was. I felt better about 36 hours after starting antibiotics, hope you do too! On the downside, the antibiotic they chose is wreaking havoc on my stomach. Kind of trading one problem for another... sorry lady!
