mwhip can he come teach MH?? We have a 3 car garage and he says he needs a shed in the backyard to keep his garage cleaner. I guarantee it won’t help!

Flamingo's deep question of the day: White shorts for a toddler, yay or nay? Nay. My MIL continues to buy M white things...leggings, shorts, skirts. I never let her where them. I do not want to spend time trying to get those stains out. #lazy

I had a shitty morning but on the plus side, H slept pretty well last night. He had a few coughing fits but went back to sleep on his own.

Happy Birthday to your beautiful little girl nam2013! dapostrophe Sorry you got pushed back. I agree with sands42 that you should go into labor on your own. Are you still having contractions this morning?

There is a house for sale in our neighborhood, same floorplan, but the basement isn't finished, that has a 3 car garage, and he wants to go look at it. No. I am not moving into the same house, a block away, after everything we just did.

Just called the hospital to let them know I was coming in and they pushed me back until noon. Womp. Don't they know we're all waiting anxiously here?

My in-laws offered to take the older 2 today and I was soooooo tempted, but I'd already told C he could stay home if he wanted. Of course it's supposed to be rainy. Rookie move Wine, always say yes to the in laws wanting the kids. Always.

Our attached garage will be 2.5 car and then A is building a 38x50 ft shop. My dad is paying part of it so A will build it tall enough to pull the combine in to work on it lol.

Happy baby day dapostrophe, but sucks that you’ve been pushed back. I dislike those ‘hurry up and wait’ situations, very frustrating.

My in laws used to send their kids to the grandparents for 1.5 months in the summer. It started one summer when they were moving and then the kids had so much fun they made it an annual thing.

My cousins and I used to go to my grandparents farm for a month in the summer, it was amazing! And now that I’m a parent I realize how great it would have been for my parents.

Morning! We are having a play date at our house this morning, they will be here in 45 minutes. Fwp: they’re bringing donuts but I’m hungry now and don’t want to wait to eat. Guess I’ll just have to save a little room. I put up that privacy film on my window yesterday and I keep trying to look out but I can’t see anything. This afternoon I need to run to target for a couple of things. It’s going to be hot again so we will probably play in the water too.

peachsmama What is 2.5 car garage? Like, one side is super deep? I get rid of my kid at the grandparents pretty regularly, like 1 or 2 nights a month probably. But I think even I would miss her if she were gone for an entire month. Unless I was on vacation or something fun, but just normal day to day life? I think I'd want her to come back home after a few days. But I'm more than willing to give it a try.

To make it look right with our house there's an extra 6 feet on one side that will be used for storage/tools. Our house is wide so if we did the standard 2 car it would look odd. And a 3 car is to big. So 2.5 it is.

I never stayed anywhere away from home for an extended period of time until I left for college. Hell, I never even went to Grandparents for overnight, but they all lived too far away. I will not be letting my child stay overnight at FIL's or even my Mom's. I still have concerns about her health, and I don't want Cadence around my drunk Uncle for long periods of time if I'm not there.

Josie always talks about wanting to go camping (which MH and I would probably never do) but thankfully my BIL is super outdoorsy so I always tell Josie good thing you have an Uncle J to take you for a weekend. I think that might be my limit. And I will probably spend at least the first 24 of those 72 hours pretty miserable.

Morning! Not much on the agenda today. Thinking of maybe putting the pool up again for the kids. I got dh to agree to us cleaning the garage tonight. I can’t handle how messy it is! I try to keep my mouth shut about it but he has soooo much stuff and so many tools and he is super unorganized. I get so angry every time I try to find a simple tool and have to climb my way to the work bench to not be able to find one. So we will probably end the day with a fight lol. My H is the exact opposite about the garage. We have so much shelving and toolboxes, everything has it's place (I guess one of the perks of marrying a mechanic). I still never know where anything is, but I can clearly see the shelves and can easily search through drawers. He's always questioning why people have garages and don't park their cars inside, like it's just used for storage. I swear he cleans it once a month. The excess materials from our remodel, laying in the middle of the garage, will slowly drive him insane! This is my H too (although he's not a mechanic). He is also a frequent garage cleaner-outer. We keep our cars in the garage. I could not live with a garage full of stuff either, though, so I'm glad he stays on top of it!

Our garage is 3 car but it’s double deep on one side so from the outside it looks like a 2 car. It is a huge mess right now. We are still storing stuff that belongs in the basement in there, plus outdoor toys/tools. I get it at least straightened up but then DH watches the kids outside and be lets them put stuff wherever. I really need to sweep out there because there are a ton of grass clippings and whatever else has blown in.

We are supposed to go to a playplace and for frozen yogurt with my sister and her kids, but she's soooo slow so who knows when she'll be ready.

dapostrophe Sorry you got pushed back. I agree with sands42 that you should go into labor on your own. Are you still having contractions this morning? Yes, but not close together or anything. I just noticed they were strong enough to wake me up last night. H and I are going to walk around a bit. I might have to storm the hospital!

Between the hot and the cold here, I want my car to be a decent temp when I get in it at home. Plus not having to defrost the windows is pretty amazing.

I would ship my kids to my ILs or dad and step mom but they never offer. My ILs act like it’s so much work to watch them for one night/day so I don’t ask them much.

I know I would have a hard time being away from my kids for a week even. We did it once when we were moving back to Indiana but we were super busy with the move so it wasn’t as bad. The good thing about moving near my BIL and his family is that they are willing to watch our kids and vice versa. It will be nice to trade off.

Okay, I had to look because I've never heard of a 3 car garage, that looks like a 2 car from outside. I've heard of those referred to as a 'tandem garage.' We looked at a house like that when we were house hunting and H loved it.

We can't park in our garage because the foundation is horrible and it's not safe. It really sucks.
