I emailed the pediatrician yesterday about next steps. Of course she calls me at 9:10 last night when I was in M's room giving her night night kisses. She's supposed to call me back sometime this morning though. Her message said I could try the allergist and they could do more blood work to look at immunity issues but she didn't think we would find much. I'm slightly annoyed. I hate it when doctors suggest something then say they don't think it will accomplish anything. That's the worse! In fairness, I'm the one that suggested those things in my email, so she said we could try it. I mean, I don't need a referral for the allergist or immunologist, but I wanted another professional opinion. KWIM? I'm going to see what she says on the phone. I know kids get sick. M was sick A LOT, but nothing like this. |

Morning! Just finished making breakfast so the kiddos are momentarily quiet while eating and watching Lady & The Tramp. More rain in the forecast today. We have a pool company coming out to open the pool--which will promptly go OUT of service when they go to fix the leak that was detected back in the fall. One step forward, two steps back seems to be the MO with this house. Otherwise I think we'll do the library and we need to make a Target run. I feel like the owners should be paying you to live in their house, since y'all have done soooooo much. Ha. It's crossed my mind. The owner is going to be in town next week and asked if he could stop by and check out the pool situation himself, I think he is starting to realize his property manager sucks at life. I am going to be sure and bring him THRU the house out to the backyard so he can see how much better things are now. |

How is it only Wednesday!!?!??
My curling iron slipped out of my hand and burnt my boob a little, it was all for nothing cause it’s raining.
...FFWC: I get ready naked, so that’s how that happened.
Basically I’m rethinking my life choices this morning, at 7.39am

nam2013, happy birthday!!! vino, not naked, but I get ready in bra and underwear. When I have time, my favorite thing to do is take a shower, put on my bra and underwear and then lay back down in bed for a while with my hair wrapped in a towel before I get up and get ready. In the olden days (before kids) I would sometimes lay down and fall asleep like that. The best...

tgrimes, I'm no doctor, however, I agree that there has to be something else going on with H. He's definitely sick more than the average toddler and if there is something an allergist or immunologist or anyone else can possibly do to make it better, I say go see them. It can't hurt, right?

OK Random questions for you guys. This summer my cousin is getting married in Chicago. MH can't go, so it will just be me and the kids (I am not too thrilled about travelling alone with both of them and will have to channel my inner sands42 and flamingo for the trip!). Anyway, Between the 3 flights (it's 1 week after B turns 2) and the hotel, this is already a budget breaking trip. To rent a car and 2 car seats will be quite expensive. My cousin said there will be a shuttle from the hotel to the wedding (about 15 minutes away), and there seems to be plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel for the rest of the trip. Would you ride on the shuttle through a busy city with 2 little ones without a car seat? Or would you splurge on the rental car and car seats? I have ridden on a shuttle without car seats before, but it's always been like from the car rental place to the airport, so not a long ride. |

jewels, we rode w B on a shuttle when we went to Jamaica a few years back. I’m OK with shuttles and buses.

Morning, had an uneventful ENT follow-up appt for N, basically the tubes are in place and come back in 6 months. He still wants us to use plugs though, which i haven't done yet. I wish tgrimes ENT visits were as simple as ours was. Now need to get cracking on work and then figure out what to get my brother as a college graduation gift..my SM suggested cash 🤨, um, nope. More likely to get a personal finance book or how to be an adult book since you are freeloading and graduating at 26 and have never had to work🙄. |

The way traffic is in Chicago, my kid would be much safer on a bus with someone who is used to their traffic, then me in a rental car! Add me to the list of people who get ready naked. I hate to get hot while doing my makeup. Evie comes in most mornings and tells me she can see my boobies. Yes, kid, I know. |

I can’t believe it is happening and happening so quick!! 😬 Just over 3 weeks! guster Our fridge door no longer has a bottom shelf due to a certain boy getting in the fridge and trying to stand on it 🤦🏼♀️ chrisy01 My friend who had used PODs before recommended them. It’s more expensive but double the space since we got two. Plus the extra time and the fact that they transport for you makes it worth it I think! jewels I'm also Team Shuttle. We have two more trips this summer, one back to FL to meet my sister's new baby (due 7/1) and then we'll head up to Maine for a couple weeks at the beginning of August. I'm thinking we should probably fly for one of them, just trying to figure out which one. I love the flexibility of driving but my sanity can only take so much.

One of my coworkers does not. Stop. Talking. She doesn’t work Mondays so when she comes in on Tuesday’s it’s non stop talking to me and my other coworker. We usually take turns pretending to listen while the other one of us actually works. I think I know what she did every minute of her weekend, and her family... and her neighbors.. and her dogs...
She’s finally back at her desk but I’m not sure how long it will last.

flamingo, any tips for doing it alone with 2 kids, I'm all ears!! S will be fine. Mostly, he's a good listener, so I'm not worried about through the airport, and on the plane he'll just watch the ipad the whole time. I'm more worried about B. I will take my umbrella stroller through the airport so I'll have him contained, but not sure how good he'll be on the plane, and he couldn't care less about the ipad yet. He's only flown once and he was a lap kid.
