Today isn’t going to be awesome. AC went nuts and resulted in water leaks on both floors on my house so dealing with that today. DH’s office AC also froze over and he’s not in town today so dealing with that too! Yay!

@westem I’m sorry you’re dealing with so many a/c issues.
I’m awake an hour before my alarm. It also took forever to fall asleep. No fun.
I have work today and so far there are no meetings on my calendar. I hope it stays this way.

I am so hungry today. I ate my normal breakfast but I am starving 2 hours later. Not good for slowing my weight gain :-(
Ultrasound tomorrow (growth scan), looking forward to hearing how she's growing.

Morning! My body hurts so bad today! We had DS birthday party yesterday and I got up at 7 to start getting everything ready. DS had so much fun and the last people didn't leave until almost 8! By the time DH and I cleaned up it was 10! Today is going to be a very lazy day 😉

We had a busy weekend out of town (our last until August!) and I'm exhausted and have a busy work day ahead of me. I need to get my ass moving on real work! I've noticed that when I lay down at night, if I start on my back, baby will move entirely to one side, and I will be all lopsided for a bit until he re-settles himself.

So DD1's Kindergarten orientation is the same time as a presentation I give 2x a year at work. DH can take her but I wanted to see the school etc. I am so bummed.

Damn, PT was painful this morning. I'm starting to worry about what L&D is going to do to me if I'm already this messed up.

catspajamas2, if you call the school, i'm sure they'd be happy to give you a quick tour at another time.

I don’t understand why they schedule all these mandatory things during regular work hours. My DDs school tour was at 10, the assessment times were all between 9am and 1pm (last week and this week, drop off for 90 minutes then pick up), and the mandatory open house is the day before school at 9:30am-10am! I also just found it that the first “week” of school consists of the 30 minute open house and 2 half days. Good thing I’ll be on maternity leave, they make it nearly impossible for working parents. I’m debating if I should keep her in preschool for that week to keep her on a somewhat normal schedule, or just let her play hooky with me and the baby (1st week of August, so baby will not be up for big outings yet).

Probably because it messes with teacher hours/contracts to do it after school hours. DD started K this year so in August they had a "Back to School" night. Problem was that it wasn't mandatory for teachers to be there. And if the teacher wasn't there then their classroom was shut. I was so disappointed because she was so nervous, so I figured it would be a good chance for her to meet her teacher, see her desk, etc. Only 2 of the 6 Kindergarten teachers were there.

I have now called the school once an hour all day but nobody answers the phone. I am not cut out for kindergarten parenting :-( I'm more nervous about this than giving birth! I've got the whole daycare thing down to a science, this is just a whole other ball game.

I didnt realize I'd be getting another anatomy scan at my GD appt today. Baby girl is measuring 4lb 8oz at 31+6, so *if* that's accurate, she's on track to be 8.5 lbs by 40 weeks, which is smaller than DD. And she already has a ton of hair 😍.

AC is fixed, i grocery shopped and made lasagna and we won a free birthday party at Little Gym! Looks like DD is having another Little Gym birthday party this next year! It’s turning in to a great day!

They told me last week when I was 30w that baby was measuring 32w3d and estimated to be 4lbs 4oz already. That’s right on track with DS’s size estimates (he was 8lb12.5oz at 39w), but I think their official due date is off by over a week, so am also hoping for a slightly smaller baby this time.

That surprises me. I teach middle school (so parents usually are way less involved) and we always have a mandatory (for teachers) Back to School night so parents can put a face to a teacher.

Almost a week in the hospital . It's really not too bad because I can walk around and be mostly normal but I'm really sick of the L&D floor already and hospital food. But they monitor baby girl everyday and she's been looking great and showing off on her NSTs.

I don't remember any of DD's size estimates except for that they told me at about 32 weeks she'd be around 7.5lbs by 40 weeks based on her estimate and current growth and I was measuring 2 weeks behind (same as this one). LOL. She was 8lb 15oz at 39 weeks too. Definitely hoping for a slightly smaller baby this time as well! But I know u/s weight estimates can be way off. Obviously. I don't have my hopes up haha.

DH cousin gave me a bunch of maternity clothes yesterday. I'm so excited! I literally only bought 4 tank tops, 2 t-shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for the summer.

I realize that I'm going to have to unclench a little bit in regards to public school. I think if I knew any parents of kids who had gone through our school system it would help but right now it is just a big mystery and I am filling in the blanks with bad scenarios.
