I gave up on the whole introducing foods slowly thing (as long as it isn't a high allergen food). We are mostly in purees because H wasn't sitting up well enough until recently. I usually feed a puree then throw some food on his tray to practice with. I give him bits of anything we are having for dinner, sometimes before sauced and salted to watch the sodium. I made us vegetable lo mein so H had some of the plain spaghetti, edamame, corn, and peppers that had been sauteed in sesame oil. In the morning he'll have a yogurt and we'll share some fruit, kiwi was a big hit. I made some banana "pancakes" that are just a mashed banana with an egg and cooked like a pancake. So far the only things he doesn't like are green beans and peas but he'll eat them when mixed with other things. What yogurt do you give him? I was doing the stoneyfield yo baby because I thought I read it was just fruit puree in yogurt but it has sugar so I'll probably switch to the plain version of it and flavor it myself. I like it for the size (4oz containers) because I don't think he'll go though a larger tub fast enough.

We're still on purées, she's loving everything again so I guess the fussiness was really linked to the snots We've recently tried apricots and melon and she really liked both. Also, victory! We gave her a bit of avocado the other day and she liked it it was the only food she's put her nose up to. Pediatrician said to start meat/fish at 8 months so she has another couple of weeks as a veggie. Now she has a couple of teeth, I'd like to try some pieces too, at least at home.

Everything. This baby eats everything. Even without teeth. If you have food, she wants it and will reach her grubby little paws right into it. She straight up stole a French fry off DD1 plate the other day. And she's grabbed fistfuls of salad out of my bowl. She loves everything.

For adults the texture would be a bit weird probably, but babies aren't likely to care. Or buy the larger tub, keep half for baby, then freeze the other half for smoothies/baking/sauces. We use plain, unsweetened yogurt for sauces all the time so à tub never lasts around here.

We are still mostly purees and he seems to like most of those. I give him a lot of the puffs, mum mums and such to keep him occupied while we eat. I recently gave him some actual banana slices to try and he liked the squishier (older) bananas much better than the new from the store ones. He had some strawberry pieces this past weekend and loved them. I'm a bit of a nervous nelly with introducing foods so it takes me awhile to give him new things to try.

Mostly purees still here too, but she loves strawberries, and we’re starting to give her tastes of our dinner.
Yesterday, she had a banana for breakfast (actually ingested very little, she mostly just smooshed it). Then she had some yogurt for lunch. For dinner we gave her some pieces of meatballs that we were eating. Today, I gave her a strawberry which she ate a decent amount of and some pear purée for breakfast. Lunch will probably be some leftover meatball, and dinner will likely be a veggie purée.

We are also only doing purees with the occasional mummum, puffs, food in his boon, and yogurt bites.
It's tough for me to give him my 100% attention when I have 3 other boys eating so I don't feel comfortable enough giving him real food quite yet
But man this kid loves his purees. Especially green beans and spinach lol

I gave my baby bite sized bits of pizza hut today. She was crazy happy about. Totally my kid. #moty A couple of weeks ago I gave DD a 2"x1" piece of pizza (I ate the toppings off), she loved the saucy dough and actually finished most of it. I pried it from her first when it was just the crustier bit left.

Okay, I'm doing about the same as all of you guys. Breakfast is mostly always a puree pouch or yogurt (Liberte 5% Greek vanilla is her fave, yeah, there's sugar, but ehhh?). I tried to give her puree and baby oatmeal this morning but she isn't really into oatmeal anymore. She really just wants her grubby little hands on the pouch. Once upon a time we thought we'd make our own baby food 😂
Lunch and dinner she's been getting some combo of: - scrambled egg, pancake, steamed broccoli, steamed sweet potato (she eats by herself) -refried beans, noodle bits in puree, chicken bits, cheese bits, strawberry or blueberry bits, leftovers from dinner (I feed her)
Also a lot of puffs and mum mums and Cheerios because she likes them and they keep her entertained.
For leftover yogurt I freeze tiny dots of it then she eats it later by herself or with some help because they're a bit hard to pick up.

I've mostly skipped purees because he freaks the hell out when they're done. He takes longer to eat finger food, so he's happy the whole time. XD

N’s favourites right now are scrambled eggs for breakfast, and toast. Lunch is usually blueberies, pasta and odds and ends. Supper is whatever we are eating.

E has been shaking her head “no” at the purees recently. So today we tried chopped up blueberries and small pieces of banana. Both girls liked them, just had some issues with picking them up because I fixed them too small.
We’ll definitely try some other foods now - I just wish they had more teeth!

N went ape shit for some Coco Whip tonight. I had it on my brownie and gave him a little taste. He literally climbed up on to my plate to get more. Kid apparently has a sweet tooth.

Awesome snuff9861! Yesterday was not much breakfast, but for lunch she had an entire scrambled egg! Then while we were at my parents she had a snack of Cheerios and plum. She loved the plum, I gave her small pieces and then held the pit for her to eat off the rest. Then she had some dinner with us too: halibut, potato, grilled tomato and corn. It was a big food day for her.

Gave C a bit of pancake and a couple pieces of Ds1’s mac n cheese yesterday. He loved it! I think we’ll start doing more table food, less purees. It’s just easier haha.

The only problem with table foods is the puking. I know that it’s normal for babies to gag, it’s how they learn, etc. but he always barfs a little at least once every time he has anything other than purees.

The girls were not patient enough for me to spoon feed them, so they just eat whatever we are eating now. It’s amazing how much easier it is!
