Anyone else have serious night sweats? I remember this from DS but omg I wake up drenched in sweat every single night. Besides that and that E sucks the life out of me it’s no wonder I’ve lost a good chunk of my baby weight. I have this now- I remember it from DD too. How long did it last for you? I can’t remember that part. I’m almost a month PP and I still have them but they are not as bad as they were. Started dwindling down in the 3 week time frame

I'm up rocking the baby back to sleep. I woke up realizing she hadn't woken up away 3am. She last ate at 9pm, so it'd been 6 hours. While I appreciate the sleep, when we were discharged we were told not to let her go longer again 5 hours at night.
So how does she repay me for waking her up to feed, she keeps me up even longer.

ajm 6 hours of sleep! Amazing!! I know, but with her being early it makes me anxious. And now I'm wide awake. Lol.

Up for our first feed and L is very congested. I think he caught V’s cold. 😭 Luckily we go to the ped this afternoon for a checkup anyway.
V also woke up just as I was starting to feed L. I’m surprised that took 2 weeks to happen, as up until now they haven’t overlapped.

DD was waking up multiple times per week prior to DS’ birth so I know it’s inevitable.

DD (3.5 yo) was over tired last night and was being so difficult. Refused to take a bath and had an hour long kicking and screaming tantrum over everything. Daycare is closed Friday/Monday and now I’m just dreading it. DS has his first pedi appt today and we’re doing newborn pics and I’m really hoping the toddler cooperates. Seriously don’t know how SAHM’s do it, especially with multiple kids.

She just was a little congested and sometimes had a dry cough but otherwise seemed fine. Hope L doesn’t get it too bad and manages it well.

Thanks, the ped said it was only in his head, not his chest, and he's eating just fine so we're good for now.

budders we are dealing with baby head congestion too...I hate it. He sounds so pitiful and snotty. Baby is passed out, but I can't sleep so here I am. We had a check up to make sure his circumcision is healing correctly (it is) and a weight check. He's doing great. Surpassed his birth weight... he's 10lbs, 14oz now. But he lost an inch height-wise. Probably because he had head and facial bruising/swelling when he came out from getting stuck. So he's 21" now instead of 22". Tomorrow we have to go clothes shopping because he's about busting out of NB stuff and we have less 0-3mo stuff than I thought. Absolutely no long sleeves. I'm excited to get cute stuff but nervous to go out shopping with a NB and a toddler. My MIL is coming along to help though since H has to work.

L just woke up only an hour after the last feed and was super congested so I had to nose frida him before I fed him. He was not impressed, but he sounds better and he’s eating well now. Hopefully this will last and we can sleep for another few hours.
We had his two week appt today and he’s 10 lbs 1 oz, almost two whole pounds over birth weight! It’s such a different experience from my older son, who had trouble gaining and had weight checks forever, and hugs the 5th percentile growth curve (and had his 3 year appt today and only gained a pound since December). I wouldn’t be surprised if they weigh close to the same in a year.

Y’all. E did a 5 hour stretch. Which makes up for shitty nap day. And of course I kept waking up thinking why isn’t she up yet. I fully expect to not see another 5 hour stretch in a long time.

itsmemeg yay for a long stretch! Morgan is up after almost a 4hr stretch, which is a first for him. He usually caps out right at 3hrs max. But he increased from 3.5oz to 4oz (we FF) over the last day so maybe that's why...I only slept myself for 2 of those hours though. My H would usually do this wake up but he worked almost 12hrs yesterday so I'm letting him sleep. Hoping the timing for the next wake up works out that he can do it before he leaves for work at 6:30.

I'm up, just waiting dor my guy to fall asleep hard enough that I can put him in the bassinet. Good luck shopping tomorrow, lovealwaysalison. I bet baby will sleep through it, they are kind of nice at this age because they don't do much. Toddlers, on the other hand...

I’m constantly nursing and other than a few long stretches of naps, I can’t possibly feed this kid more.

It's incredible how completely different both kids are.

L and V are currently both awake. L vomited everywhere and V is trying to console him (even though he’s back to eating again and I’m more upset than he is). We all have to be up in an hour or so, which means it will be a long day.

E gave me (2) 4 hour stretches and I’m currently holding her upright for a bit til I lay her back down. Of course I didn’t sleep all of those stretches. The last one she kept spitting up in her sleep so I held her a little and moved her so she wasn’t in her spit up. Once she woke hysterically crying i think from the reflux. Thank goodness her pediatrician appt is this morning. Maybe we can get something for the reflux

The ped wasn't concerned because he's gaining well, but it's disconcerting to witness. And very, very messy.

E has been so restless the last 2 nights. Like she can’t get comfortable and is constantly wiggling and grunting therefore, I’m on high alert and not sleeping bc I think she is waking up every 5 minutes. She is currently laying on me bc i can’t lay her down

+1 to cluster feeding every evening.
I should have come in here last night but am always in tearful denial when is going to be a rough night. L was awake from 3:45-6:15 after refusing to sleep anywhere but on me. This is not awesome.

Friday can’t come soon enough for our dr appointment - this poor baby is spitting up so badly and is just crying in pain. It’s so hard because I can’t help her
