I got lost in the GD thread of tattoos, and now I'm putting together a picture. What is happening, I dont even know myself right now. Tell me more! I'm not typically a huge tatoo fan, but I think it'd be fun to get something small. Maybe something my mom and sisters all got as well?

Plus one to the weight gain. It's ridiculous. 5'7 is tall to me! But I'm super short. I know the grass is always greener, but man, I would love to be w few inches taller. I feel when you are short, everyone expects you to be tiny (I'm not), and gaining 5 pounds puts you up a whole clothing size! However, I still rarely wear heels b/c I don't have to dress nice for work (today I am in jeggings, flip flops and a long T shirt), so I'm not comfortable in them since I wear them so rarely. MH is on the short side of average. I have no hopes of our boys being tall. flamingo - that is interesting to me. I have heard of hormone therapy to try to increase height, but I have never heard of it to stop growth. I Also tallb yes blackish was sad. But I'm glad they are doing better. I couldn't imagine them ending the season with them apart. I still think it is one of the most realistic portrayals of how it all falls apart.

Lol vino . I always get sucked into the tattoo threads. I'm afraid to get one because of the military. Their rules go back and forth on them being okay or not. I'd also chose a location that wouldn't be visible in any uniform, but still. I think I'll be some 50 yo bat getting my first tat.

And then I'm sure I'll change my mind next week But oh man, the poster whose mom left a note in her locked box with her documents that says a beautiful message in her handwriting makes me cry. Now her children have a beautiful message for life. So many tears. So I'm calling my Mom to see what we have left that has my Dad's writing on it so I can pick out a word, totally not the same, but I would love that. So I guess I'm up to 2 tattoos....LOL oh hello mid-life 'crisis'

I'll probably take until i am 50 to get them, so we can go together.

So she had her write it on a piece of paper so she can get it as a tattoo on her forearm. I think she's getting us soon though because my grandma wants to see it LOL.

The typical rule is no visible tattoos outside of the uniform, but some people had waivers for that. I admit I'm a bit pearl clutchy and think it looks crappy. I'll never forget seeing this little dude who was maybe 5'2" with a spider tattoo on his neck. It looked ridiculous in uniform. I'm in a position where the likelihood I'd be kicked out or something over a tattoo is slim to none, but I could get written up for it and with my rank and position that wouldn't be a good look. A couple of years ago one of our admin guys was spouting off to us the latest tattoo regs and basically said just don't get one. Okay.

My job has strict rules about how we look. Tattoos are a big no. When I was in a Hindu wedding I had to get a few extra days off to let the henna wear off. I think even if we were to be allowed tattoos I would probably do the long lasting temp ones.

Probably not delightful when it's 95 outside.

Finished shopping. Spent way more then I expected to at Target (I know you are all shocked at this). Started another load of laundry. Going to take a nap and then put laundry away and and work on taking out the recyclables.

If I were to go back to a typical role I would have my uniform provided and some of those are hard to hide tattoos. Do not want to work outside with long sleeves on a 110 degree day.

It should be a hard no to anyone wanting a neck/face tattoo etc, never mind someone in a position serving our/your country.

Busy day here. My coworker who was on vacation last week is now sick this week so I’ve been busy. But i prefer this over her actually being here.
So, h bit twice last week at daycare and so far, not again. Then he hit his teacher on Monday. He’s been such a little stinker. But hen he shocked me last night and peed on the potty twice and actually seemed to know what he was doing. He sure keeps us on our toes. I can’t believe how much he’s changed in the last month.

Also, hi! I've chimed in a couple times but never actually said hello.
C and I knocked out some errands, and I got my car back (can i get an amen?!) It's a long story that I won't bore y'all with but turned out to be just the battery and NOT the alternator (thanks, Autozone :eyeroll:)
In other random news, I checked on my end tables, it's been exactly 8 weeks, and they estimated 7-9. They shipped Monday so hopefully they'll be calling to set up delivery soon. So ready for that room to be d-o-n-e.
It's storming here, so I'm thinking tball practice will be canceled. I've got a casserole ready to go for dinner, and the kids are watching Lady and the Tramp, so I'm hoping to put my feet up for a minute.

flamingo My mom was telling me how my niece went to see a specialist because of her growth and the specialist said she will likely be hitting puberty soon. They are supposed to be looking into hormone therapy to slow that down. My mom is very skeptical about it and doesn’t think it’s safe because she doesn’t know the long term effects. I think they should because my niece, who is 7 going on 8, is not at all mature enough to be getting her period before the age of 10. She is very tall and goofy and, from what my mom tells me, already has a hard time with kids at school. She doesn’t need that on top of it all.

mwhip,we still use the monitor. C has a lightbulb that we have a remote to because he likes the light on when he falls asleep. Then we shut it off with the remote when I know he's asleep. I also use it to tell him to cut the shit when he is playing too long before bed. That's mostly why we keep it.

Another day at work. Tonight is tball practice and I am snack mom this week. I packed oranges and Teddy grahams because I need to go right from work. C informed me he likes neither of those things as we were walking out this morning. ::eye roll:: He's such a pill sometimes. DH is working late again tonight but said he will pick C up from school tomorrow and Friday so I get to go back to the gym. I may try to go shopping too.

Precocious puberty - it’s semi common in the Hydrocephalus community because of the brain abnormalities. So I’ve heard quite a bit about it. And most of the parents say the same thing you have....the child is no where mature enough to handle dealing with a period and such.

mwhip we don’t have one right now because L is still in our room. And the kids room is super close. But I will be using them when we move because the master is downstairs. I have to wear long sleeves at work because of my tattoos. I knew I would have to before I even got any. Lol but seriously face, neck and hand tattoos are not smart to get unless you’re a tattoo artist... or maybe if you’re really rich and successful on your own. I don’t find them offensive but they usually look stupid.

I’ve been super busy 😫
Preschool graduation last night for Gunner.
AND we closed on our house yesterday. It took FOREVER because I’m MH power of attorney so in all his spots he was supposed to sign I had to write his name, sign my name and write attorney in fact. But it’s done! Now I just have to pack 👎🏼 We likely won’t move until July though.
