It was really cloudy this morning, but the kids were casing mayhem this morning. So i packed up the kids (leaving the house in a terrible state) and cycled to a nearby recreational lake nestled in the dunes. Since the weather wasn’t all that, we were practically alone, it was really nice! Laundry is in the machine, batches of pasta and soup are on the stove.

Morning! I slept horribly. I have a sore throat, likely weather related. I just stood in front of the stove for 10min trying to figure out why the water wasn't boiling...never turned it on, oops! A snuggles and then he has a urology appointment.

I don't think I ever updated after M's tooth consultation. He has two cavities that have to be filled, and two the we are watching closely to see if they turn into cavities. Of course they're booking 6 weeks out but they put me on the cancellation list. They called me yesterday and they had an cancellation for 10:30 this morning, so he gets one fixed today and one fixed in 6 weeks unless there's another cancellation.

Morning! Yesterday I went to learn about the Keto diet. I don’t think we are going to be able to do it. It’s super strict and everything is measured out precisely. And she would have to eat everything we prepare in order for it to be beneficial...which I can’t see happening. She doesn’t eat much, and seldom finishes everything. But because of the ratios of fat/protein/carbs having to be exact, and they have to eat it all, I don’t think we can do this now. Maybe when she’s older and more cooperatively meal times. We are still going to have a meeting with the dietician to talk more one on one about it. But I’m thinking it’s a no go for us.

Morning! I painted all the trim in our basement yesterday and my son did the baseboards. I am going to attempt to do a second coat today, but man, it wore me out and I was sore! However, this is one of the last steps before H can start putting down floors, which I'd like him to do this weekend. The race is on to finish before baby makes her debut. Taking bets on which one is ready first 😉
I also need to get teacher gifts, like asap.

Morning ladies! lfig Yeah, I agree, getting any kid this age to eat exactly what you put in front of them, is impossible. Poor S, I had high hopes this would really help you guys! dapostrophe we have plenty of baseboards and trim that need painting, if you need something to help get baby out when it gets close to that time! I'm not pregnant and I don't want to paint them, I'm impressed at your ability to get it done! peachsmama I'm glad they were able to get M in quick for one tooth, too bad they can't just do them both today. nam2013 the place you described sounds awesome! Glad you had a good day! tgrimes how was Hamilton last night? What is M's deal with these damn games and dropping his family to watch them? Can't he watch them at home? Does anyone still use a monitor for their N13 regularly? We still use one although we rarely need it. Just wondering if we are the only one...I'd still keep it for when I put her to bed and we go outside, to hear if she wakes.

mwhip it really is great, it’s just 20 minutes by bike and about 200m from the lake is a visitors centre and cafe. ETA and yes we use a monitor every night. Three story house, kids sleep in the second, living room is on the first, so unless he really screams I won’t be able to hear him.

Because they are in different quadrants of his mouth they do them at different times. He doesn't want him numb in 2 places and risk chewing up his cheek. Which makes sense. I plan to use the monitor once we're in the house. I'm actually going to put one in the play room too so I can keep an eye on them from my office.

mwhip I still use a video monitor. S’s room is on the other side of the house from ours. Plus I hear her when she wakes up that way. And when she starts roaming the room at night instead of going to sleep. Also, I like it when she is sick. Like last week when she was coughing so bad. I was able to go in and reposition her so she wasn’t coughing so much and could rest better. Yes, I am apparently a helicopter mom.

I left this morning before seeing my girl and I didn't say anything to mh, so we'll see if he remembers to brush her hair and her teeth. I found out (via Cadence) that he's been brushing her hair with a newborn brush...you know the one you use on their peach fuzz/bald heads...so I had to hide it and he only has regular brushes available now. Today is much of the same, sitting at my desk, pretending to get things accomplished. I have a pile of files that need to be returned to offsite, so I'm going to try and get through them today so I can send the runner with them tomorrow. I'm ready for the weekend.
Oh, Negative Nancy is pulling her daughter from gymnastics. Her daughter is refusing to go now. She told me I should pull Cadence too....uh, no. I told her I don't want Cadence thinking she can quit things just because her friends are. That's not how we roll. Plus, it gets Cadence's energy out in a major way. I won't pull her until she says she no longer wants to do it.

dapostrophe I painted trim like a crazy person when I was pregnant too 😜 I hope all your projects get done in time! 🤞🏻 Team Monitor here, too. We really don’t need it anymore for B but we have one in C’s room, too, so old habits die hard, I guess.

Morning! The past 2 nights A has woken upvsuper upset around 5 a.m. Brought her in bed to nurse and then she calms down and i can pit her bsck down , but i think shes hungry. Howver she is still pretty constipated . We've given her pear juice and water and cut back the cows milk to 1 bottle. Lots of fruit and veggies. Hoping things move soon! A prune pouch usually works pretty quickly for my kids, not sure if you have any on hand.

mwhip I still use a monitor for B, and joke that I will until he moves out 😉. In rearranging his room the other week I unplugged it and had full intentions of not using it for him, but that lasted 3 nights, then set it up again. I like being able to check on him.

Good morning! I need to do a target run today and possibly a Costco run. I need to work on laundry and E's room. However I'm currently sitting in the lazy boy watching tv since C took LO to school.

mwhip, I still use a monitor on both kids. I don't think I'd sleep well if I didn't. MH jokes that I'll still have it on them til they leave for college.

mwhip I still have a camera in her room but I only use it occasionally to check on her. I mainly use it for H and even then I only turn it on if I think he's awake in the MOTN.

I get that it's fun to go out with your friends and watch the games at a bar, but between march madness, the astros & the rockets, it's happening regularly. We did talk about what happened this weekend on the way to the theater (of course I had to be the one to bring it up). He never apologized but he definitely knows he was in the wrong. At least we're speaking again.

Y'all, Hamilton was fucking amazing. The set, the revolving stage, the choreography and of course the music was so creative, simple and powerful. MH like it so much that he downloaded the album during intermission. It's seriously the best thing I've seen in a really long time.

I really don't use a monitor for any of the kids. I hated our video one. If a kid is asleep inside and we are outside I'll plug in the regular monitor, but that's it. Guessing I'll invest in a new video monitor when L moves to a regular bed though.

I got out of the shower this morning and realize I forgot to pack underwear 🙄. So I did a quick wash cycle in the washer and am waiting for the dryer to finish. I’m an over packer extraordinaire...so this never happens. But don’t worry, S has 4 pair of shoes to choose from today. 😬

I re-watched the performance they did at the White House. Try and enter the lottery and see if you can see it again for $20.
