trueblue When I’m in drier climates, I really like the Dr. Jart ceramidin liquid, and for realllly dry environments (like winter in northern Japan) I will break out the Dr. Jart ceramide cream. You can get both from Sephora. m.sephora.com/product/ceramidin-tm-liquid-P434364m.sephora.com/product/ceramidin-tm-cream-P434363The cream is really rich though, so I’d patch test to make sure it won’t break you out. Putting the Laneige water sleeping pack on as your last step before you sleep is also a good idea - it will seal in all the moisturizers you put on previously.

So back from vacation and I did everything for 14 days straight and wow the improvement! 😱 Even putting on makeup (which I rarely wear) was easier and looked flawless. I’ll post before and after photos tomorrow. Thank you for coming into the royal thread and sharing.
Does anyone use a special pillow or pillowcase at night to help reduce wrinkles? My sister recommended it but the thought of sleeping on silk freaks me out. I change pillow cases 3-4 times a week as is (my skin can’t protect itself from staph causing painful cystic acne that scars mostly on my body so I never reuse clothes, towels, etc. before cleaning and change bedsheets at at least once a week, but pillowcases every other night) the idea of cleaning silk that often is freaking me out! Also any recommendations would be helpful.

I picked up a few more sleeping pack samples at Sephora last week, the Laneige water sleeping pack and the glow recipe avocado melt mask. I like both of them and I think I’ll end up purchasing the avocado mask— I really liked how it felt on my face and how my skin felt the next morning.
I also got a big sample of Ren ready steady glow AHA tonic. I haven’t used AHA before, so I’m patch testing first.

I think I’m experiencing the dreaded purging. At least I think it’s purging because it’s on an area where I typically break out, so that is supposed to mean purging right? I’m going to stick with things and hope this clears up soon but I’m also bummed because I was really loving my skin!

If it’s in an area where you usually break out, that is a good sign. Are you using BHA and AHA? Purging shouldn’t last more than a few weeks, and if you end up getting really red or having severe breakouts/cystic acne, I would stop and let things subside.

Ok, some miracle has happened. I usually get huge cystic chin acne before CD1. But it has come and gone with only one tiny little zit. I don’t know what to make of it except these snails might be magic?

For me, snail has awesome repairing properties and prevents/limits breakouts too. Glad your skin is looking good! 😊😁

In the meanwhile - lots of hydrating toners, sheet masks, and snaily stuff can help 👍

I was on the pool deck (indoors) for 3 hours. When I was finished, my face was red and irritated. What do you do in situations where you are hot, and sweating? After a workout for instance?
I didn’t have my stuff because I was only supposed to work an hour but someone called out. I didn’t have my swim bag with my products because I was coaching, so not in the pool.
I’m sorry to be a PW.

Cheshie6 I don’t have much advice for you on this one, but maybe others do. The only thing I can think of is maybe bringing some wipes with micellar water to keep your face clean, and a toner mist to keep it hydrated when you are in more of a rough environment?

Cheshie6, maybe you could decant a hydrating toner into a mini mister bottle to keep in your purse? you could also try centella (cica) pads-- centella is a soothing plant extract (neogen and purito brands both make them). the pads come in a large plastic jar but you could transfer a few into a ziploc bag. at the very least if you're sweaty and red i'd splash some cool water onto your face and gently pat dry with paper towels.

A little snail magic never hurts either.

I use a cleansing toner for situations like this. I get really sweaty when I work out and have found this settles my face, keeps me hydrated and keeps the break outs gone. I have used Benton Tea tree cleansing toner and Acwell cleansing toner. I prefer the Benton as it isn't as thick. Moisture wise you may prefer the Acwell. I dump some on a face pad, Kleenex, whatever is handy. Wipe everything that needs it, reapply makeup if I want and go. There are quite a few cleansing ones out there if you Google. Some of them may be better for hydrating. I focus more on keeping the acne in check. Hope that helps!

I finished up the Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb moisturizer this week. It was a FS that I started in May as my evening moisturizer. I rotated in the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Cream in it's place.
I should be finished with the Hada Labo Gokujyun light toner in a week. I plan on rotating back in the Klairs supple prep toner or starting the Su:m37 treatment essence.
I've been alternating the Super Goop Unseen sunscreen SPF 40 (it's heavy on the silicone) with Thank You Farmer Sun Project Water Sun Cream SPF 50 PA +++. The Thank You Farmer sunscreen is more heavily scented than I like.

Aside from the scent, how does the sunscreen perform?

Taitai the Thank You Farmer is definitely cream based. It's a little shiny that settles down. If you want to avoid the alcohol in the Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel, it's worth a try if fragrance doesn't bother you. I don't hate it enough to destash it, but probably won't rebuy it. Well, tbh, I bought it from Costco, so it was pretty much half the price.

I’m pretty happy with my Biore and A’Pieu standbys, but maybe I’ll mix it up if I get the chance. I heard the Supergoop! makes a good SPF too, but omg it’s way way too expansive for me.

I think my purging is settling down, but I read it can take up to six weeks to fully purge 😭.
I’m encouraged to push through though, because I’ve seen major improvement to the blackheads on my chin. I’ve been using the Cosrx BHA every other day for three weeks now and just a few days ago noticed my chin is almost completely blackhead-free!
I also picked up the Peach & Lilly Glass Skin serum and I loooove it!! I use it in the morning in place of snail serum and my skin feels amazing.
Anyone else have any skin celebrations or fun new finds?

asunasword I am so glad you are enjoying the IOPE cushion blush! I hope they never ever stop making it, because it’s HG for me. I love how the color it provides is so natural and glowy. It’s replaced the NARS orgasm as my all time favorite blush. jayhawk I am still really loving the Lululun bulk pack sheet masks. I didn’t realize how much the guilt of regularly throwing away so much sheet mask packaging was having on me, but now I find myself enjoying nightly sheet masking like I used to. My favorite “flavor” is the Precious (white color) one.

I’ve always thought I was combination skin (maybe before kids) but since starting this, I feel like my face is dryer even in the T-zone. Even after cleaning, by the end of a day my zone would be oily. It hasn’t been since starting! Is this change common?
We’re going into winter, for those of you in winter climates, products do you recommend for someone in New England with harsh cold winters?

Cheshie6, do you use a sleeping pack? You might consider one for winter- I’ve tried Korres Greek yogurt pack and Glow Recipe Avocado and really like both of them. I went to Sephora and got a bunch of samples to try out different options,

I went to Sephora and got a bunch of samples to try out different options, I use E.L.F. Sleeping mask but I got it in a rush for the cruise. (Under 3oz and cheap so if I hated it, no foul) I was looking into glow recipe. A friend of mine in Cali is a make up artist and talks them up all the time

We’re going into winter, for those of you in winter climates, products do you recommend for someone in New England with harsh cold winters? I found that when I started double cleansing and using more hydrating layers, that my t-zone improved significantly. I am pretty sure I was using way to harsh/high ph cleansers, which were stripping my moisture barrier. Now that my moisture barrier is solid, I don’t deal with oily spots as much! So yes - I definitely think the AB transition could be causing a similar situation for you! In terms of products for dry climates, when I go to Japan in the winter (super dry), I like the Dr. Jart Ceramdin products a lot. They make a cream and a liquid. For me, the cream is too heavy, but the liquid is just right. You can ask for a sample at Sephora probably and check it out before you commit to a full size purchase! us.drjart.com/collections/ceramidin?sort=manual&compactView=trueThere is a serum too, which I also love: www.amazon.com/Dr-Jart-Ceramidin-Highly-intensive-filler/dp/B076TPZ83B
