I’ve been waiting 1.5 months for my new tinkle razers to arrive. Repeat order from amazon and they are fakes. I’m so fucking fed up of this shit from amazon. Packaging is all different (first hint) and they don’t have the blade guards, also a slightly different shape.

Jeff Bezos will not be regaining his position as the richest man in the world of this shit keeps happening. Have you reported it to Amazon? Will the seller give you a refund?

Taitai I’m not sure how to report it, I look on mobile last night but couldn’t find anywhere so I’ll look again today on desktop. A refund wouldn’t be worth the cost of shipping them back to China. I’m just so annoyed because I’ve been down to the last razor for a couple weeks now and o can’t keep using it. I’ll need to go get the Sephora ones today

I’ll need to go get the Sephora ones today I've never gotten fakes, but I have had good results with talking to Amazon by chat or phone when a product isn't as described or damaged. Usually they will refund the costs without me having to send it back or credit me for the shipping if return shipping isn't free.

Okay, so I am going to admit that I don't have the patience to let milia go away on it's own. I sterilize a super fine needle with alcohol and the very gently poke a hole in the skin and push the bump out. It doesn't leave a mark.
I only get them if I use a cream that is too heavy. I really have to stick to more of a 7 skin hydrating routine.

beesquared, i used to do that, too. 😬 i have a few now that are really close to my eyes and i don't want to be poking needles in there. plus i was hoping that using acids on a regular basis might keep them away in the future.

Yes - I would report it to Amazon emmaIf nothing else than to encourage some type of consequence to the seller and Amazon (for allowing fakes on their site).

emma amazon makes it difficult to find... at the bottom of the page on desktop, if you click on Help > Need more help? > Contact us --you can either get a call from them or do a chat. have your order number ready. they have always been very helpful whenever i have a problem with an order and will generally give some kind of credit or refund.

The essence gives me pause because it has alcohol pretty high on the ingredient list and skin is very sensitive to it. I’m not familiar with the cleanser, but I’d be curious to know the ph. I do think you may be better off with separate products. If you’re looking for something you can get easily, Bliss (you can get at target, CVS, etc.) has a nice make up melt 1st cleanser. It’s a milk jelly type versus oil. I like that Bliss first cleanser too! I remember that was the first product I used that started getting grits out, and I was so confused (I didn’t know about the grits thing at that time and had never oil cleansed before). I was like - is there magically appearing sand in this product!?

The best rule of thumb - when in doubt - for product order is the thinnest to thickest rule. Obviously cleansing is first, then actives (Vit C, BHA, AHA, retinoids/prescription meds), but after that, you can just follow the thinnest to thickest rule and end up just fine.
I also know some people who like to sheet mask before putting on their serums. Works out for them. I personally like to sheet mask after serums and before emulsions/creams, but that’s just my preference.

DS2 has been sick with a horrible cold the last week, so I have basically been walking him around and attached to him from 7pm onwards the past week. That meant hardly any skincare routine and no sheet masking!
Thankfully, DS2 is on the mend and sleeping on his own in the crib, while I am in my own bed with a Toosowong sheet mask. I’m trying to use up the stash I have before I get the bulk packages from lululun when I am in the USA this summer. I like the Aloe Toosowong - feels refreshing. The mask is really big (or maybe I have a little face), but it fits the bridge of my nose well and doesn’t tent, so I’m not going to complain much about the size.

Taitai that reminds me, I used a Tosowoong Deep Sea Water the other day. I liked it and it went on my “keep an eye out list” but not my “omg buy again now” list. I think maybe I have their snail one to try too.

Hoping the deep sea will be nice! 🤞

Ok, going to start taking better care of my skin. At least for anti aging that is.
All the snailstuff is very overwhelming but I want to work my way up to it. I bought a new moisturizer with SPF 30 because you're right, if we don't do that the rest is pointless.
I also got a new retinol night serum. My problem is washing, I hate washing my face at the sink at night. I get water everywhere and it wakes me up too much.
Question: can I just use those face cloths with cleanser on them? No water?
I’m getting better with the moisturizers and I will add in new products as I get a good routine.

Sweetjane Welcome!! Good that you’re doing SPF and retinol! Both are proven to help with anti-aging. In terms of washing your face - you could use micellar to gently cleanse your face. Just make sure you use enough to actually get all the makeup/dirt/sunscreen off. The downside to micellar water is that you end up using more product, and you have to go through cotton pads, which is more waste. Some find that using the cloth/toner pads can also exfoliate too much and cause redness. But, if those things don’t bother you, I think it’s a fine way to cleanse. emma uses micellar water I think - she might have some suggestions for you. As for the snail, just buy the Cosrx 96 power serum, put it on your face, and enjoy! Nothing to work up to - it’s amazing and Amazon can get it to you easy peasy! 😉

Sweetjane I use Garnier micellar water as my first cleanse and I find it’s not enough to get ride of everything from my face, I need a second cleanse with face wash. I did cut down on cotton waste however by buying reusable cotton discs. You thrown them in the washing machine after use. When you wash your face how close to the sink do you get? I bend right over to my face is just above the bowl, that way there’s no splashing and no water down my arms

Also single use cleansing towels are just 1 more thing ending up in the landfill so I’m not a fan of them

emma raises good points about needing a follow up cleanser anyways, plus what @karenwalker said about the waste and residue factor if you go the disposable wipe route. Sweetjane I think - for me - the benefits of having improved skin from gently getting it really clean and prepped for skincare products outweighs any possible hassles from washing my face over a sink. I get some splashes of water on the vanity, but not really that much - it’s easily wiped up with the towel I use to pat my face dry with after washing. Maybe try putting your face closer to the sink and just practice until it’s nbd? It could really be good for your skin to double cleanse!

Ok I know I need to wash my face appropriately, I was just hoping to not have to. Haha on me. I very rarely wear makeup so washing that off is not a concern. So I will stick with the SPF moisturizer, good night cream and work my up to a serum. I will try the micellar water, I've seen it in stores and did not know what it was. Disclaimer: we are an above average eco friendly household and use no disposable paper products (except TP) I will make a better effort to adult and wash my face. I'm also teaching my daughter these habits so that's another incentive.

I remember thinking when I was first starting to wash my face daily in middle school - “This is really a pain! Water gets everywhere and how do I make sure I splash off all the soap?...And I have to do this every day...for the rest of my life?” I had a similar reaction to shaving my legs as well 🤣 It does get better if you just make a habit of it and get in a routine of it. If you go the micellar water route, let us know what you think!

So 6 months after talking about it, I finally got the T'iam vitamin C serum and I love it. My skin felt so smooth! I did freak out a little because the serum was orange and I thought that it had oxidized but I got the red version which is supposed to be orange (well at least that is what my friend Google says). So do I leave it on for 20 minutes before adding the next step? Thought I read on here that you should leave actives on for 20 minutes right? ETA: Sweetjane, I did use micellar water at first when I started the AB routine (mainly because I had it and didn't want to spend money on an oil cleanser) and I prefer the oil cleansing method. It gets my skin cleaner than with just micellar water. I definitely hear you on finding it hard to wash my face at night, though.

Yep - leave it on for 10-20 min before moving on to the next step. I aim for 20 min, but most nights I end up only waiting 10-15 min before I put on my BHA.
