I have not listened to the diss track yet, but that blackface is....something. I need Drake to step forward and explain that shit. I love “nice for what” but have never been a big Drake fan to begin with. So canceling him will not be hard.

On the Rosanne canceling, the more I think about it, I do feel sorry for the other cast and crew. They could have just let her go, and tried to continue. Rosanne really is horrible and racist, and I didn’t want to watch it to start with, because of her.

Like... who didn’t already know Roseanne was a disgusting racist before the reboot? I do think a lot of people did. And I think that’s why ABC was fine with working with her. Money/ratings for them and they could sidestep any controversy. It wasn’t until she said something that got tons of attention that the network decided to act. ABC knew she was a racist all along but the general public didn’t and they wanted to capitalize on that for as long as it benefited them. Yeah, I think most people knew, just a lot of them don’t care. I mean booby/ ripper is in this thread saying she was watching and enjoying it. Glad it’s canceled now regardless. |

I'm glad Roseanne was cancelled. So much of that show was cringey. Like when she was trying to guess her Muslim neighbour's wifi password, and guessed "DeathtoAmerica123". Why would anyone want to work with her after reading that kind of script?

How do we feel about the Drake blackface? 😱 It appears the photo was taken as part of an ad campaign for a clothing company called Too Black Guys that has a line called Jim Crow Couture. I'm curious, genuinely, why is it controversial for a mixed-race man to take a photo that is clearly satirizing blackface (and apparently there are other photos which contextualize it better)?
