Looks like it is now called “City of Lies” but based on a book called Labyrinth. The book (and movie) is about the investigation into Tupac and Biggie's murders. Not even close to the David Bowie movie. Oh good. I was worried. Lol |

I thought Ambien made you eat sticks of butter in the middle of the night, not make racist remarks. Wasn’t there a guy who stabbed his wife like 85 times in the middle of the night and blamed it on Ambien? Am I getting that wrong? |

I think there have been a few cases of people committing crimes and blaming Ambien. I have a friend who used to take Ambien, and one morning he woke up and discovered he had shaved his entire body in the middle of the night. Like, eeeeeverything. He decided he needed to get off it after that. |

Fuck you Roseanne. I talked with dH about it and how ABC obvs knew before rebooting it and his response was simply something like “sure but America has short term memory when it comes to racist things and many people don’t care or are racist. I mean, look at whose president. They’re cancelling it now bc there will be an uproar. The end.” 😒😒😒
I know he’s right but it just makes me angry at ABC. I know many people were surprised Sara Gilbert agreed to work with Roseanne and her latest tweet shows she wasn’t in agreement- but, it’s like the age old argument of breaking bread with your racist ILs/parents/gparents- “it’s hard to cut them off”.... to balance your beliefs and yet work that closely with someone like Roseanne.

Ambien scares me because there have been incidents where people did crazy shit while under its influence. There have been a number of cases that haunt me.
That said, Roseanne tweeted that because she’s a racist piece of shit, not because she took a sleep aid.

They were talking Drake and Pusha on the radio this morning. I primarily listen to hip hop stations. I am not the person to speak on this at all but the DJ’s opinion was Drake avoids interviews and talking about race but then he does this photo shoot. If it was something he spoke about and shared his experience, there wouldn’t be pushback.
I’m probably articulating this wrong.

I do think a lot of people did. And I think that’s why ABC was fine with working with her. Money/ratings for them and they could sidestep any controversy. It wasn’t until she said something that got tons of attention that the network decided to act. ABC knew she was a racist all along but the general public didn’t and they wanted to capitalize on that for as long as it benefited them. Yeah, I think most people knew, just a lot of them don’t care. I mean booby/ ripper is in this thread saying she was watching and enjoying it. Glad it’s canceled now regardless. Well, obviously I enjoy the show. Didn't you hear?? I can't tell if you are condemning me for watching it, as if me not watching it would have some sort of consequence. The show existed, I watched. Don't tell me that you don't sing along to Ignition when it comes on the radio or eat at Chick Fil A or __________ fill in the blank. |
