They actually did it. 18 GOP reps nominated Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180503/c7f4ec12d87fdb8576f07dfbf0f492b5.jpg) For what!? He's brought the opposite of peace or growth or positive change or just anything inherently good to us or the world. Fuck off with that noise.

Bannon and Cobb throw shade at each other. Cobb wins.
If it weren’t threatening our country, lives, and moral/mortal souls, this would be some great drama. A+ schadenfreude.

This is a really good breakdown of what Mueller is doing WRT negotiating a Trump testimony lawfareblog.com/game-theory-trump-subpoena"Fourth, in any negotiated interview, the more accommodations Mueller is prepared to make to Trump, the less crucial we can assume the interview is to his investigation. If the interview is a make-or-break thing for Mueller, he will hold the line and make sure Trump sits for live questions. If he allows written answers, that’s a sign the stakes are lower for him, for one reason or another. In my judgment, the mere fact that he was willing to telegraph so much subject matter to Trump’s lawyers suggests that he doesn’t really need Trump’s input that much; if the interview were truly high stakes for Mueller, I doubt he would give the Trump team the opportunity to script answers for him."

I am laughing so hard at Rudy Giuliani. My morning sickness is awful at night so I missed all the shenanigans until I woke up and went on Twitter this morning.
It's just all so laughable.

It's so grossly over the top and incompetent I'm now actually worrying they had Giuliani go on and say all this shit so we'd be talking about it while Trump dumps news or does something else despicable while we're all distracted. But part of me doesn't want to give any of them that much credit.

Honestly I feel like Stormy is a distraction. men pay off their mistresses all the time. I feel like 45 has deeper seated issues/payments/criminal behavior out there. His behavior pre-presidency in business is obviously not all above board, the university, the steaks, clothing line, not paying contractors on his construction projects. There is more there there. This is not to say she doesnt deserve her time in court. I just feel like its a symptom of a bigger problem.

Stormy’s lawyer is saying Trump won’t serve out his term.
I checked: Pence can’t serve more than the two final years of this term and still run for President twice.

I just feel like its a symptom of a bigger problem. I probably screwed up the quote but 100% yes. I just don’t think the really shady business stuff will come to public light. I mean, how many smaller business owners came forward sharing how Trump screwed them over on paying them- multiple people on multiple projects over a not short period of time- and people still think Trump behaves with integrity.

I just think they are trying to get ahead of the story. Some shit is going to come out and this is their way of being one step ahead.
It's very dumb.

I agree 100% with this. Didn't someone who'd been interviewed by Mueller come out and say, "They didn't need my testimony, they knew more about my life on the campaign than I did" like yesterday? I'm drawing a blank on who said it... I want to say it was Lewandowski

This is not to say she doesnt deserve her time in court. I just feel like its a symptom of a bigger problem. It's not a distraction. The Stormy payoff constitutes illegal campaign contributions. It's not just that Stormy deserves her day in court. It's not just that this is a salacious sex scandal. It's that the Trump campaign violated campaign finance laws. Never forget that Clinton was impeached over what was initially just a sordid sex scandal. It started as dealings with Whitewater though, they could ONLY get him on the sex part. And yes I realize it could be an illegal campaign contribution, but its still pretty minor in his larger scale of fraudulent dealings. Nothing that man does is with forethought, moral, etc so he has never had to face consequences. Dont have enough money to pay contractors? Meh file bankruptcy and blame them for shoddy work, sleep with a woman while my wife (pick one) is at home, meh throw $$$ at it. Its a symptom, not necessarily the problem.

Anyone think maybe the GOP sent in Giuliani to intentionally bring him down? I find it highly unlikely, but the thought did cross my mind. No. Y'all. We've got to stop trying to attribute some greater intelligence to these people. Sometimes dumb shit is just dumb shit. They're totally playing two dimensional Crazy 8

I always try to find the other motives, but you're right, it is just people being used to getting away with dumb, thoughtless behavior for years. It is bringing me a little joy that Giuliani's blabbing caised SHS to be called out as a liar. Not anything new but you'd think they would have at least thought about what was publicly stated in the past regarding the payments.

The debate wasn't October 15. It WAS the day Wikileaks published Hillary's Goldman Sachs speeches, though.

Stormy’s lawyer is saying Trump won’t serve out his term. I checked: Pence can’t serve more than the two final years of this term and still run for President twice. Which is why the GOP hasn't done shit about 45. They have to get across that two year mark before they can install Pence and then have his own two terms. Ten years of President Pence and we would end up in the red robes. ETA: I don't think Pence could actually get elected to two terms, but I have no doubt, that for some of the "saner" higher ups in the GOP, this was their plan.
