@juliagulia I was just thinking of you and cars today, wondering what car we’ll each get in 1.5 years.
I saw some ads for a new Volvo XC40 and I’m intrigued. Now if only the back seat isn’t for ants, it’d be a real contender.

if we'retalking cars still, I'm in the market for a size upgrade. H likes the VW Atlas and the Ford Expedition. I want to wait and see what the new Subaru Ascent is like. Any opinions? Need 3rd row and higher towing weight ability. Preferably not premium gas. no clue of the towing capacity, but the Atlas is so spacious and yet easy to drive. Both H and I love it. Plus the 2nd row can tip up for access to the 3rd even with car seats installed. It’s a cool feature. I thought you were Honda with roomy trunk people.

A house we loved in our desired neighborhood just came back on the market. We were driving to go past it and our realtor called to say he asked the sellers if we could go in to check it out. We were only planning on driving past, so my make-up has been washed off and I have no bra on. Why does this happen to me?! Wait, are you bras off in a car? If so put on a coat. Yes! We had already left to drive past when our realtor called. I do have a tank top and hoodie on, thank goodness.

I drive a mini van but my next will be a Honda Pilot. They are the best for small SUV with 3rd row.

And now I have to set my alarm to wake up early to dig my car out of over a foot of snow before work.
Ugh.

We went to the auto show on Friday and the pilot seems cramped in the 3rd row, plus less cargo room than others in the size class. I was surprised because it seems bigger from the outside.

I really like mine but I’m so glad I leased. I’ll be ready to move into something else when the time comes. I have learned that I HATE black leather interior. It shows every stain. And every dog hair. I really am excited about the clarity. It’s exactly what I wanted when I was looking. The size of an Accord but an electric hybrid. I’ll have to drive it and see what else is out there but it’s a top contender for me.

I had such a nice night out with MH. I can't complain about the free four coarse meal and that they plied MH with tons of free wine and the food was so good, but mostly it was nice to get dressed up and go out.
I can't wait for my FIL to move to town for real so we can take advantage of free babysitting more.

It’s kind of fun having a brand new car!

It’s kind of fun having a brand new car! I know! But if I lap H with new cars there will probably be hell to pay. Maybe he gets the next new one and I take his. But I don’t know if I could downgrade in features. ☹️ I’m spoiled now.

Easily the most spontaneous decision ever, and H and I are both really happy with it. It has so much interior space but doesn’t drive like a tank.

While he’s driving, suggest test driving a new suv for funsies once you get to your destination. Talk him into getting a new car that day. And then you can do whatever you want in a year! Voila!

I really like the look of the Atlas. But we had a lemon Passat and I just don’t know I can do VW again.
I plan to drive the Sienna for quite a while yet. But it’s the longest I’ve had a car and I’m starting to feel the itch

FFSC: I often “find my iPhone” when SO is driving home. (He is tech in-savvy and his phone is on my Apple ID).
Not because I don’t trust him, just because I worry and like to know that he’s made progress and isn’t dead in a ditch, or the raging River that runs along the last stretch of sketchy dark highway.
It’s also chain control tonight, so I’ll be extra anxious, because I trust no bitch, especially tourists leaving on Sunday.

Hi. I think I’m gonna get this pupper. He’s a lab/beagle mix, which is the exact same mix as my last dog who I loved so damn much. We lost my 10 year old Henry last fall after he got bit by a snake while hiking.

I really like our Subaru. If we’re still here, my next vehicle will be a much newer version. Standard transmission of course.
SO can drive the giant van.

It’s a 2018 which is smaller then previous years so it only seats 6 not seven, but it feels really comparable size wise to my previous suv (a Terrain). Not sure what the towing capabilities are tho

I like the idea of a new car but I'll be keeping this one until the kid can drive it and then I'll get something new and fun and he will drive the mom-mobile. I'm within striking distance of pay off and need to experience not having a car payment for a long time.

I'm within striking distance of pay off and need to experience not having a car payment for a long time. This is the one major factor in why we have what we have. It’s nearly ingrained in both of our DNA to avoid debt. Our mortgage is our only one now, but we refinanced to a 15 year fixed 5 years ago. Hello having zero debt before either kid is in high school and then hello 200k remodel or brand new house, since we will have at least tripled our purchase price in market value by then.
