Maybe this has been covered but why aren't y'all heating up your overnight oats? I do oats/apple sauce/cinnamon/and honey. Wake up, heat it and BAM BEST THING EVER.

Do you really hate the charity fundraisers or feel the person posting the request on FB is being disingenuous? I don’t think people actually hate fundraisers. If they do, well, that’s something else entirely.

I feel like I’m living in Groundhog Day. Your doctors are telling you you need nutrients. Eat your breakfast. Dazed: "I need to get out of this hospital ASAP!" Doctors: //provide specific instructions on how to get discharged Dazed: "lol, no." Also Dazed: Why won't they let me out?!? Would you say she is... dazed and confused about her situation?

I think if the post was "For my birthday, I want to bring attention to the work of this charity. What they're doing is really important to me and I'd love for them to be supported. Here's the link to find out more and make a donation." it would sit better. Donating your birthday to a cause or whatever the wording is fb uses makes me cringe. I guess, but this is semantics. People using FB fundraisers for their birthdays are literally bringing attention to the work of a charity that is important to them and they would love to see supported. If they worded it exactly to your liking, it would be ok? I think I'm grumpy today. I'm already annoyed by everyone.

You guys can really hate on everything. I have seen a lot of bday fundraisers that have gotten huge amounts. If it’s a charity against guns, I’m guaranteed to donate. I have also donated to charities I’ve never heard of because I like the person and/or the charity. These are all donations these charities would never get, but are because of FB. Who cares how it appears or how you feel, it’s not about that. It’s about charities getting money. You’re really saying that’s a bad thing? My *only* qualm with the fb ones is the presumption I’ve seen with the posts as it’s usually a canned thing like “For my birthday instead of gifts I’m asking for donations to X charity.” Like wait I wasn’t getting you a gift, so....? It kind of seems book instead of card to me? I’d rather it be a more personal post like “hey I know you might not have planned to get me anything, but I’d love if you’d consider donating to this cause that’s really important to me.” Just like an acknowledgement that this is an above and beyond thing. I don’t know, it’s my own hang up. I’m not anti. This is exactly how I feel too. I’m not raging against the bday fundraisers, but the typical canned post puts me off in a way and I just scroll past. But then I’ll usually try to donate to someone who says I’m walking/ running for x charity and they’re meaningful to me because y. Or this person who is close to me passed away. Please consider donating to z charity in their name. So maybe I’m inconsistent.

But if you're heating it up, doesn't it defeat the "grab it and go"-ness of overnight oats? If you're going to heat it up, why not just make the oats that morning?

Lol at calling a fundraiser for charity shitty. Maybe you are shitty, not the fundraiser. God forbid someone use the shithole platform that is Facebook to try to spread any good in the world. Yeah there are a ton of reasons right now to say fuck Facebook, and to hell with a lot of users too.
But donating to a charity for a birthday, is not one of them, IMO.

Ok, so my family has asked that in lieu of flowers people make donations to the Cancer Institute that my father was treated at. No shit, we are not assuming everyone we know was going to send flowers, duh.
I see this as the same thing. It's a common way to phrase an alternate request.

I do oatmeal with a scoop of protein, a scoop of collagen protein and mashed fruit pretty much every morning. It’s my favorite. I start my day really healthy. But by 8pm, I’m on the Peloton drinking a bottle of wine. Thanks, C2.

The applesauce soaks into the oats overnight to make them... MOIST. So the next day you are just heating up the oats for good ole oatmeal.

thisbitch, if your post was directed at my comment, I didn’t imply some posts don’t matter. It wasn’t directed at you. I was making back to back posts without reading in between posting, just saying what was on my mind, as per.

Breakfast is overrated. It takes too much effort to plan for a healthy breakfast. When I do, my stomach can’t even really deal with it. Apparently this is an UO according to the hospital staff. I’m totally down for coffee though! I feel like I’m living in Groundhog Day. Your doctors are telling you you need nutrients. Eat your breakfast. You’re not wrong, butI actually need to make some changes so I am better at doing this.

That says nothing about them and everything about you.So, what I'm understanding is that you're saying intent matters much more than perception and then following with the bolded?

I had a dream last night that I got a dog. It was such a vivid dream. The dog was a golden retreiver and I was really concerned with how I was going to explain that I now have a dog when I swore to jesus I'd never ever get a dog. I was legit worried about being such a hypocrite. This has made my morning. I’m dying.

Great if it is good to you.

I don’t know your lyfe. I can only go off what you tell us. It just seems like you seem to have the same complaints every week and you seem to be consistently working against your doctors, instead of with. If I’m wrong, well, I’m telling you how it appears. If I’m right, listening to your doctor’s orders would be a good first step in making changes to live a healthier lifestyle.

Cream of wheat > oatmeal. Yes..with heavy cream and a little maple syrup swirled in it. Velvety, delicious, perfection.

What protein powder do you use if you can’t have whey or casein? Pea protein powder is not bad.

Me right now: “I really should do better about getting protein at breakfast instead of just carbs. I’ll eat some yogurt when I’m done with this roll.” *5 minutes later* “Jelly beans!”

I'm looking around at new vehicles and am 98% positive I am buying a minivan. Preferably a Honda Odyssey. I bought a minivan last month (Chrysler Pacifica) and looooove it. This morning on the way to daycare, ds2 told me he loved our van too. I held out as long as I could, but now I wish I would have bought one earlier. I was heavily leaning towards a traverse but the better gas mileage and sliding doors are calling me. I found a honda odyssey touring I'm all over but I always get anxious about another car payment since I just paid my old car off. But it's a 2010 and isn't running reliably so I really need to just go for it.

My UO is that, even though I'm pretty antsy about online privacy, I could not give half a fuck about whatever data Facebook sold to Cambridge Analytica. Or whoever. Good luck ever getting me to vote for Trump. Plus Facebook doesn't sell my actual data, so who gives a fuck really. I mean we spend so much time online. I go on basically 4 websites, this one included. It wouldn't be hard for essentially anyone to figure out my interests. Spoiler: Food blogs. Home blogs. Talking to you bitches. Reading the NYPost. The end. To add onto this, people who put things like that ARE super sensitive on Facebook for some unknown reason.... that's kind of their own fault? Cambridge people can have my comments of "WHAT A HANDSOME GUY" on my friends pictures of their kids/dogs forever. Enjoy.

The end. YES. I actually listened to Zuckerburg's first day of testimony and found it interesting, but pointless insofar as personal responsibility seems to be completely taken out of the equation. If people gave information about themselves that led to the conclusion they'd be susceptible to false information, that's shitty, but why is that FB's fault?
