I have 2 reoccurring themes. Either the car I'm driving in is going to fast/out of control or I'm falling behind in school and can't catch up.
I also have deja vu about my dreams quite often.

Lurker here....my reoccurring dream as a child was a monster made out of paper bags who was just outside my bedroom window. I’ve never heard of anyone having a similar dream. omg. Me either. Maybe we are both aliens! That would be an interesting twist. 5yr old me was also terrified of being abducted by aliens. I blame my parents for allowing me to watch Unsolved Mysteries.

My reoccurring nightmare as a child was that a very very big, very tall, very obese man was chasing me. We're talking 7-9 feet tall and 1000lbs. Chasing me down the street.
Related, H and I were watching Legion last year and there was a bad guy, or vision of a bad guy, that looked so much like the bad guy from my childhood dream that I can no longer watch that show.

I had sleep paralysis in 2009 a few times and it was horrible. I knew I was in my bed, home alone, but I would dream that someone was coming up the stairs and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move or talk. As a kid I had a recurring nightmare, it seemed to happen for a very long time. It was always that my dad died, and we would go to this bird bath type thing and have Sunday dinner and be able to talk to him. He's still healthy as a horse . I was always so terrified of losing him

I haven’t had any reoccurring dreams since my teens but I do get bouts of sleep paralysis and you absolutely do not want that. It’s horrifying.
I do have vivid dreams almost nightly.

I have one that is always a little different overall but with a recurring theme. I don't even know how to explain it or where my brain comes up with it. Basically there is this gum-like substance in my mouth that I have to keep pulling out in big clumps, it sticks to my teeth and gums. Weirdest damn thing. In the dreams I'm always convinced it is a tumor or something, but no one believes me when I tell them about it. Last night I almost had my mom to where I was going to show her, and then I woke up. Clearly I have an oral fixation because I also frequently dream about my teeth breaking and falling out. I know that one is anxiety-related. IVE HAD THIS DREAM. it’s creepy af.

Is that like sleep paralysis? You know, I really don't know. I've always just considered it a dream, but maybe I should look into it more. Sleep paralysis is where you’re awake. It’s not a dream. You can’t move, speak or cry. Sometimes I have hallucinations. You’re in a panicked state and struggling to breathe.

Yes!!! I dream very frequently about losing control of the car. Usually I'm on an overpass or bridge and I feel like I'm about to drive off...like one side of the car is off the road.
Is there a trustworthy website that can interpret dreams out there? Forgive me if this was already asked.

These are my two reoccurring dreams. The driving too fast one is so scary because there are these few seconds where I realize the car is out of control and I’m going to die. I also have reoccurring happy dreams. One is that I’m pregnant (I’ve never been able to carry a healthy pregnancy) and I’m so elated in my dream but so very sad when I wake up.

The car ones remind me that I also dream about driving or trying to drive from the backseat or passenger seat. Once I realize what I’m doing I get freaked out and try to pull over and get into the right seat.

I always have a reoccurring dream of being in school and forgetting my locker combination. Or it’s the day of exams and I realize I haven’t been to the class all year. I also dream almost every night of some or all of my teeth falling out. I think I read it is related to anxiety which makes sense. I used to have the exam one too! I did actually almost miss an exam once because I got the time wrong. I showed up an hour late. It took a long time to get over that.

Omg, the dreams where you dream you're waitressing a super terrible shift all night are the worst. I wake up exhausted and then have to go to actual work.

Recurring dreams: teeth falling out (OMG); tornado hitting my church (had that one all the time as a kid, read Night of the Twisters too much, but why the church?).
Recurring motif: a trash can outside my elementary school. That one was really weird. Hello again, trash can? We meet again, but I have no idea why!

I periodically have the dream that I can't remember my locker combo or have lost my class schedule. I wake up frantic. The teeth crumbling and falling out. Those are pretty freaky. I frequently have a dream where there are multiple tornadoes coming for me. Or my most common is: Some one/thing is chasing me trying to kill me. I never see them/it. By the end of the dream I have managed to kill them, though I don't have any weapons, I just know they/it are dead.
