I'm watching a beach property buying show, and a family with 3 small children just purchased a 1bd condo... HGTV? I’ve got it on, too, but barely paying attention. Was it the coast guard family? I think I heard them saying they’d be moving a lot but now they’ll have a place to land... Yes, that one. Even so, that was a really small space for 5 people.

We're looking at Astros tickets so we can take a long weekend trip to Houston, but we can only go on weekends DH doesn't work on Saturday. That severely limits our options. ::takes back what I said about no more games:: I think the Rangers are in town next weekend... I know! But DH is working that weekend. Womp womp. He works every other Saturday and I know the Rangers will be back in Houston on July 27/28. It'll be hot as balls, but we might try to make it work. Will the twins be born by then?

Every single Giants game we could go to as a family is an away game- why?! I’m determined to go to one game before we move, so I think I’ll take DD on my own. Hopefully I won’t regret it. ...unless any of the wonderful HIH ladies want to do a Giants game GTG? The solution is that you should come down here to this Friday's game in SD and meet me there.

I went to the ballpark when I was pregnant with surro-baby 1 and it was v v v uncomfortable. But it was a night game and the breeze felt amazing.

Sat 5/19 and Sun 5/20 are both home daytime games. MH scheduled himself to fly home Mother’s Day weekend since we always go to the game. Of course this is the one year they aren’t playing at home! MIL's mothers day tradition is going to a Giants game. Not this year tho I guess, lol.

I swallowed my social anxiety and rode the kids to SO’s local brewery to pick up a growler and get some exercise.
I was completely successful and this will open up so many summer activities for us!
I’m now drinking said beer and making soup.

I'm also watching HGTV. And I'm going to be very angry on behalf of this lady's teenage daughter if she picks the two bedroom apartment. She'd have to share with her four year old and two year old brothers.

Also, bobyn, Minute Maid Park is air conditioned, and even when the roof is open, the fans are on, so it’s usually pretty comfortable if you aren’t directly in the sun. Choose something on the third base side for a day game. Avoid right field at all costs. The roof is usually closed for day games in July though.

I haven't been there since I was little.

Hello, haven’t read.
The boys are staying with their dad for two extra days bc I have meetings and childcare issues.
Of course, I’m doing that thing where I say their better off with him bc he can offer a dual parent/income home.
Nothing needed, just venting.

Weird question, but when a nonstick pan starts showing wear, I have to toss it...right?
Isn’t there something about the coating and toxins?

bunnyfungo I can totally empathize. I know I only have one DD, and I’m not pregnant, but we are staying behind while MH moves so that DD can finish out the school year down here. I am a planner like you, and I hate not knowing. I’m trying to look at the big picture instead of just the next two months, and that usually helps. If you ever need to chat, I’m here for you! This was me this time last year. MH moved 3 months ahead of us and at first it was really hard but once DD and I found our rhythm it was ok. If you ever want a sympathetic shoulder, I’m here

It's been shown to be mostly overblown, especially for general wear. If you are heating the pan above 500 frequently or a deep scratch, that is a bigger concern. It's annoying for the lack of non-stick though.

I don’t use nonstick at all anymore because DH is allergic, but before we fully figured it out the well worn pans were the ones sending him anaphylactic. I think that’s a good sign that they are shedding something.

I have a stainless steel set of cookware, but I hate the stuff.
It’s heavy and everything sticks.

Are you bringing meat to room temp first? Chilled meat will stick. Also use slightly lower heat and give it a little extra time.
