nuggetrn, thanks for the visual. I had been dealing with engorgement / blockage on the left side at the height of cracked nipple pain until I started with the pump. It's finally feeling better and not all hard and lumpy. Now I feel like I have to start over again for the right side.

+1 I dislike that it is about a hour process gettin L back to sleep MOTN and then about another 20 minutes before my body settles enough to sleep. I take half a unisom before bed and it helps me fall back asleep more quickly.

It's 4:30 and I think we might be up for the day. But I don't even mind because this baby is being so stinking cute. She's just kicking her little feet and smiling and trying so hard to talk. B didn't do this until 5/6 weeks so she's very advanced- possibly a genius.

Somehow my baby just popped herself off my nipple and I did not notice at all. So then she grabbed whatever she could find and got a few good sucks on a random part of my boob. Now I have a hickey. Never thought that would happen...

Spent the last two hours breastfeeding, pumping, changing a blow out diaper, bottle feeding (by my H), and BFing again

I think we are in a growth spurt. I usually just do one boob/feed but tonight he’s still hungry so I’ve popped him on the other side and he goes to town. Or something is happening to my supply. I don’t know but it’s making for a long night.

I might as well just have this baby. Takes me 3 Hours to fall asleep then I’m up at like 4 am because uncomfortable. I’m so done.

Never thought that would happen... My second kiddo - he would randomly latch on to my armpit during the night. Needless to say I didn’t wear antiperspirant during that time bc that freaked me oit 😂

Seems like I brought my kiddo to bed for a feeding in the 3am hour. I found him snoozing next to my boob, a little bit of milk around his lips, just before 4se. No recall of bringing him over but my Fitbit recorded it.

I was so tired last night that I asked DH to give J his last bottle and change him at midnight. I woke up at 2 with DH trying to change Js diaper. Apparently J decided to party with Daddy for 2 hours...every time he tried to put him down he'd cry. I got up swaddled him, rocked him for a few minutes, and he went right to sleep.

Turns out I had put him back to bed. I remember feeding him and nothing after that.

Is it about time for a thread to call your baby out?! 😁 DH would have to put off going to the gym until he's gone over feeding time. 😴😫 Dude you're up anyway, can't you work around the baby's schedule so you can be helpful?? Not that either of us knew when he'd wake up...

I'm up. It's 2 a.m. and just finished changing baby. He decided to pee everywhere and somehow got himself in the face too. Lol. Poor thing. He started screaming when that hapoened. Thankfully everyone slept through the cries and we're snuggled in together again while he eats.

Super hungry here too. I’m trying to rock L neck to sleep and my stomach is growling and waking him up. Also along these sand lines... when I’m trying to lay him back down and my hip or knee cracks and wakes him up. Come on, body.

Up at 330 to feed her and am up for the day. We are driving back to DH's grandma's to tear a deck down so that when the construction people come to fix the foundation it doesn't get destroyed. Then in a few weeks we will go back and put it back on. Thankfully in a few weeks DH will have his step dad's help, but today it will just be us. And when I say us I mostly mean DH because I doubt baby will let me help much.
I am only going to keep him company and because he worked last night and wanted to drive three hours up north by himself. And I really couldn't let him do that. Even though I have absolutely zero desire to go.
He left for work last night and didn't even think about helping me get baby's things together. It just somehow did not cross his radar. So that's what I'm doing right now. I have to leave the house at 6:30 to go pick him up from work. And then we'll keep going up north. He works about an hour that way as it is.
Dreading everything about this weekend.

Ugh it’s 7 now and I’ve been up since L fed at 4. He went down for a half hour after nursing but then wouldn’t go back down for more than 10 min at a time.
He started the night in the pnp in the living room with H and we got a good stretch of 4.5 hours and then I put him in the halo in the bedroom with me after the 4:00 feeding. Do we need a consistent sleeping environment/routine at 7 weeks? Right now we’re just doing whatever works... although it’s not really working.

I have always been a stickler about sleeping in the crib/bassinet, but this time I’m going for whatever works. Currently he’s loving the bouncer (no sound or bouncing) and we are going with it. Rock and play is coming Monday and I’m planning on using that. We will figure out flat sleep later. We do include him in the girls bedtime routine and eventually that’ll move to him trying out bedtime too. I’m a big fan of surviving and feeling like I actually got some sleep at this stage.

I’m here. I have mastitis. So add me to the pumping club. Ugh, was not planning on getting that thing out so early.

We got a rnp yesterday and whiles good, I kinda liked dh keeping him in the other room for a few hours at a time. Now he’s right here and it’s back to being 100% me getting up at night. Need to figure out something else...

I'm up and just checked the updated weather forecast and they're now calling for 15-20 cm of snow/ice. I'm so over it. We planned for a spring baby because I literally would not have survived winter with a newborn. I need sun! I need to see green things!

I’m very annoyed we’re having to deal with his ice storm nonsense. I, too, was very much looking forward to (and needing) the better weather. I can’t imagine my mental state if I had a fall/winter baby, I’m kind of coping knowing Spring weather will arrive soon. (It will arrive, right? 😭) Stay safe this weekend!
