DH was on baby duty most the night I got a 3 hour stretch of sleep. Now baby is sleeping in my arms. I know if I put him down he will wake up. That is why DH and I are so tired. He falls asleep but the moment you put him down he is wide eyed.

I found out why my left boob hurts so badly when DS latches. I had MH take a look at the underside and he saw a crack or crease that runs from about 2 o'clock to 6 o'clock. There's a bit of a scab, too. The hospital LC had given me hydrogel patches to wear. It's time to get more, but Amazon is out. I have been slathering the lanolin nipple ointment since the day before. I hand pumped that side before going to bed to buy some time overnight and maybe feed just the right side for the night. Go to cvs and buy them - by the burn cream and bandages! m.cvs.com/shop/cvs-health-sterile-hydrogel-burn-pads-4ct-prodid-1011813?skuId=832833

I forgot to set my alarms and the baby went almost 6 hours before waking to eat. I forgot to ask her doctor if I can let her sleep or if I need to still be waking her throughout the night. I'll need to call next week because I won't be mad about getting extra sleep. But that seems like so long for her to go without eating and she's so little.

D1 woke up just as I had finished with the baby. She had a bad dream so I went to lay with her. I'm back in bed and she woke up again and is crying for me but baby wants to eat again. Mh is with her and she is telling him that there was a big spider web in her room. Just as we get over one scary thing (dragons, then monsters, then ghosts) she starts with something new.

If she’s back up to birth weight you should be fine! I definitely had that happen when DD was super tiny too. Try not to feel too badly, she would have woken you up if she really needed something:)

yianna, thanks for the link. A CVS opened near me recently but I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. I bought the Medela hydrogel patches from Target yesterday. They are good for a day while the Ameda Comfort Gel ones I was given by the LC are good for at least a week.

cp3 is she back to birth weight? If so, I'd let her go!

I can’t sleep.’
I’m exhausted but wide awake - let the viscious cycle continue.

We’re having a marathon nursing session over here. I’m about to shut it down and go back to bed.

I’m awake. Dh apparently needs the entire bed to himself these days. Sorry, 10” of space just doesn’t work for me so I’m on the couch. I also think I’m having contractions. They’ve been about 10 minutes apart for two hours. Weis! Not sure I’m ready, but I’m so ready! Of course driving in with rush hour should be fun.

I'm joining in tonight. DS2's diaper leaked all over for the 3rd time tonight. This is the 3rd night in a row this has happened. Guess I'll be getting some different ones. So tired tonight.

I’m here. I thought I was doing so well with the lack of sleep this time - and compared to the hottest of messes that I was the first time around, I really am - but this 2 hours of sleep at a time is really starting to catch up to me.
I keep telling myself one day I’ll sleep again. One day.

I thought cluster feeding was meant to result in a nice stretch of sleep for me. This baby likes to have his long stretch in the late afternoon/early evening which is not really a possible bed time for me.
He’s been going for an ok stretch at night but then is up for two hours at feed time and takes forever to go back to sleep.

The past 2 nights I couldn’t get the baby back to sleep at 4 am after a marathon nursing session. But he sleeps all day.

Add Me to the sleeps all day, but not at night club.

Yes to all of the above! I read but I'm just too tired to formulate a post during MOTN feedings.

Add Me to the sleeps all day, but not at night club. Same here. He will sleep in our arms at night but once you put him down he is usually wakes right up.

E has been up for over an hour. She just wants to party, apparently. Won't nurse, won't take a pacifier, doesn't just want to snuggle. She's like literally trying to walk away. I want to sleeeeep.

not really motn for me anymore but timing works so that i am up for the day at 4😑. while i appreciate an almost 4 hr stretch, the 1 am wake up almost always means it’s not worth it to go back to bed after the 4 am wake up. gimme all the coffee

I’ve been up about 45 minutes, my mind seems to be racing on all the things I want to get done today before induction tomorrow. I will DEFINITELY be napping with the toddler this afternoon😬

I’m up. I can’t complain - this is the first wake up tonight (almost six hours). DS1 took forever to go down tonight so I was exhausted and didn’t pump before bed. Regretting that now. I’m wondering if I have the energy to pump after L is done nursing. Especially since he keeps falling asleep. Kid you have one job!
