My first two were very close in age so my oldest had no idea a baby was about to join our family. This time is so different and the girls get it for the most part. They are totally flummoxed as to how the doctor takes pictures of the baby inside my belly without cutting me open to do it though. Mine had this problem too - she wanted to see the hole they cut so they could see inside. It helped when she came along to my A/S so that she could see the process.

J has no clue that anything is happening. We talk about the baby and I bought a baby doll and book about being a big brother, but I don't think he will fully grasp what's going on until baby comes home if then.
He failed his swallow study yesterday (again.) I was expecting it and I'm fine with it. Thickener is just expensive and insurance won't cover it. They won't repeat the swallow study for another year so we have a long way to go on it.

PennyCandy, I'm sorry to hear the swallow study didn't go as hoped. It sounds like you have a good handle on how best to address it in the meantime.

I'm feeling a bit better today an am back at work. Just trying to get out from under the enormous amount of work that piled up while I was gone.

Sore, but good. I keep checking the tp when I wipe, but there hasn't been any more blood Trying to take it easy at work and have an awesome coworker who is helping me with whatever I need. Thanks for asking!

Getting our overgrown backyard cleaned up! So excited! It is looking so good! We have really neglected our yard since we moved into our hose 2 and a half years ago. Also getting on a rotation to have this team mow and edge our front and backyard every 2 weeks! So happy to have 1 less thing to worry about!
I am definitely starting to get into a nesting mood. H isn't always the most helpful with house or yard projects, so I've determined that I will hire out as much as I can! Finally got H to agree to getting someone to come in and do a deep clean on our house. Can't wait!

Had my doctor appointment this morning and my fundal height is measuring 2 weeks ahead. If I'm still measuring ahead at my next appointment they will do a growth scan. Is it bad that I'm kind of hoping that I am for the extra u/s?

Not that I wish I was the same with this one, but I miss the extra scans. My next one won't be til 32/34 weeks ish to check her size.

One of my clients has a roof leak on a project that is still under warranty. The Contractor was claiming the water dropping down the inside of the roof was from condensation. I arranged a meeting on site with the Contractor to review the issue and do a leak test.
I have not seen the Owner in a few months. He took one look at me when I walked up and said, "Well, I guess you're not climbing the ladder to do the inspection."
I don't let pregnancy stop me from much, but I will NOT climb a ladder. My balance is awful enough when I'm not pregnant! Glad he understood I was staying on firm ground. I brought a structural engineer with me to do the climbing.
In related news, pregnant ohreally has no patience for BS and argued for the Contractor to replace the entire metal roof rather than patching several holes and seam leaks. It's about the only time pregnancy rage has its advantage.

Then I didn't have GD with my third and I realized what a time suck all those appointments were! It was definitely strange not to see the baby on ultrasound after the anatomy scan though. I'm hoping for a happy medium this time. Hoping for no GD, but maybe a little extra monitoring due to AMA.

With DS I was getting u/s every 4 weeks to monitor my cervical length because I had a leep procedure 10 years ago. This time around my doctor said it's not necessary since it's been that long and I carried to full term with DS.

I'm so pumped for my appointment tomorrow. I hope everything looks good with baby and with my cervix. I wish MH could come but work is usually busy for him in the afternoons.

Is it bad that I'm kind of hoping that I am for the extra u/s Nothing wrong with wanting more u/s! One of the things I love about my doctor is that she loves the u/s machine! I have had one appointment so far that was just with the doppler, all the others have been visual, and it's lovely! So comforting to see baby moving all around in there/all the fluid/my cervix being closed.

Does anyone have maternity slip shorts they like? I don't need shaping, but just some bike shorts type things for under dresses as it gets hotter and I get bigger!

I just got a pair of bandelettes to help with chafing, and I love them. I have a pair of slip shorts from Thigh Society that will be here Friday, and several friends recommended Jockey slip shorts (apparently they're super stretchy and work well).

I had a busy day. I'm exhausted and my body hurts.
It's crazy how my body can only handle like 1/4 of what I used to do daily.
