Hi everyone! I think this morning was the first morning that I woke up for the day not thinking "wtf? I want to stay in bed!"
V had her best night so far....slept 8:30-2, then back down by 2:45, slept until 4:30 and then I just kept her in my bed, nursing and dozing until 7:30! Usually I can't even put her back down after the first wake up so this is monumental.
Anecdotally, I looked up that baby magic tea and saw it has fennel, so I drank a couple of teas yesterday I have that include a lot of fennel....so...is fennel the magic ingredient? I know it also has cumin and cinnamon but you better bet I'm going to drink more of the fennel tea today! I know fennel seeds are used in some cultures after meals to aid digestion so maybe there is something to it.
In other news: I ate some goat cheese yesterday and she seemed to tolerate it fine. However, I was super gassy all night. So maybe I am sensitive to dairy?!?! Or I guess maybe my tummy is just not used to it?

Good morning ladies! I’ve been up since 3. The baby was noisy af last night. I slept 10:30-12. Then I was up briefly every hour until 3. I could go back to sleep after that. The baby stayed asleep. Needless to say, I’m exhausted. G is getting on the bus in a few. I was going to take the baby to target but I may wait for this afternoon. I don’t feel like driving.

That's interesting about the fennel!
That's a major ingredient in lactation tea too!

marygracerich, that really sucks? Would you be open to acupuncture? I did it when DS was about a year old to help with my sleeping and it was awesome! I wish I had done it sooner.

Not really 😕I know I sound like a closed minded ass but I do not think it would help. I’ve had insomnia since i was little. All the women in my family have it. None of us sleep great. I have noticed it’s worse at the beginning of my cycle so it may be hormonal. I have also tried a number of other things and nothing has worked so I am sort of over trying. I used to go literal days without sleep. Sometimes up to three days straight.

E is watching Tangled. She's super into it. In snuggling with the little. I plan to take the girls to visit MH at work today. We work at the same company so I'll get to see my coworkers too.
I need to do schoolwork during nap time today despite being exhausted. I plan to hit Sbux on my way back from visiting MH at the very least. My teacher gave me an extension on the assignment that I didn't get done from last week. I had told her before the class even started that I had a newborn at home so that would be helpful.
I'm making chicken alfredo tonight and I need to come up with Easter lunch.

I have a 4 day weekend coming up and I can't wait. I have pawned off my toddler with her old sitter for the day on Friday so it will just be me and the baby. I plan to go through all of DD1's old baby clothes and sell the stuff I'm not in love with to clear out some of this stuff. I also need to go through her current clothes and start to switch out to summer stuff. I really hope I get it all done and don't just be lazy and watch hgtv.

B turned 3 months yesterday so I still need to do the picture. Here is one of her doing tummy time last night. I am really bad about doing it but when I hold her she always holds up her neck so I can count that right?

I am really bad about doing it but when I hold her she always holds up her neck so I can count that right? Faith hates tummy time (9 weeks today) but she has pretty good head control when she is being held upright and if she is lying against a chest she pushes herself up. We keep trying tummy time but in the meantime I'm not too worried since she is getting pretty good at holding her head up and fairly stable until she gets tired.

I didn't sleep well last night and it isn't entirely the baby's fault. It took me awhile to fall asleep, she woke up 3 1/2 hours after eating (we had gone 4 nights of between 4-5 hours) at 3:30, then again at 6:00 then at 8:00. I made DH do the 6 am feeding since he isn't working but it kinda backfired because I was awake and couldn't get back to sleep. So I'm hoping to get a nap in during lunchtime today.
Faith is 9 weeks old today and just spent about 15 minutes on her play mat (on her back, but it is a start) cooing and waving her arms and legs around. I can hear it from my office and it was super cute and I didn't want to be working. She has reached her limit now and is crying so I'm glad DH has to deal with it. lol

I am so bad about tummy time. He is good at holding his head up though so I'm not so worried about it. He can't so his whole chest yet though.

Looks like I have two kids who find the car sleep inducing. DS2 is five weeks today:

Sleepy Liv! My girls! So we didn't get to go out because MH has base in his car. DD1 was so upset. I've reached my limit for the day already so I'm just ready for her to take her nap. I need Starbucks too. Ugh.

Love the pictures! She didn’t sleep all night like she had been but I’m not going to hold it against the tea. ( tiffrobot it’s called Babies Magic Tea you can get it on amazon. maddisonrose found it and she’s also in Canada so you shld be able to get it) I did get my solly wrap out in desperation this morning and it worked. I’ll post a pic. I’m proud of myself! Nursing then wrangling the crew to get in the car and heading to a play date.

That's interesting about the fennel! That's a major ingredient in lactation tea too! When I was reading reviews on the tea there were a number of comments like ... not sure if it worked for baby but i did see an increase in supply.

DH works a midday shift today so I got to do some work this morning while the two big girls were at daycare before DH left for work. It was so nice to be able to work interrupted without planning around naptime or having to stop to put a paci back in J's mouth every 30 seconds! Unfortunately that shift means I am on solo bedtime duty tonight though which I always dread. It is beautiful here today for the last day in a while - I think we are supposed to get snow later this week - so I am hoping to go for a long walk this afternoon and enjoy the weather! Here is my smiley J :-)

I’m really bad about tummy time too, I mostly do it bc I’m paranoid about a flat head (it’s sort of flat already but has gotten better the last week or two). DS is 10w and it all of a sudden got a lot better this week so I’m trying to believe what I’ve read that even a little TT goes a long way!
Today has been a shitshow with DD’s cough and she fell asleep on the couch an hour before her nap which has screwed up the nap. DS has been crabby even though he slept 9-5 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thankfully he took a long enough nap that I got my workout in. He’s up now & I need to shower soooo we’ll see how that goes lol.
