Catching up- my last bmb had one lady in the same state as me, and we’ve met up a couple times when I’ve gone to see my family that lives where she does. I think the oddest bmb connection there was one girl ended up being close friends with another’s husband. They recognized each other from HDBD pics! I hope you ladies getting minivans love them as much as I love mine. I can’t believe what a difference it was going from a little sedan to the van. kookie3631 sorry about the hypertension. numbears my guess would be same state but not too close. I’m in the boring part robot with my first pregnancy I only had 2 ultrasounds and the last was at 20 weeks for the A/S. The only good thing about the high risk stuff this time is the extra ultrasounds! And fwiw I didn’t think your post came across any way other than we all love peeking at baby when we can. budders hope you feel better soon!

I really have zero interest in a mini van. I don’t see where I’m going to get any more space with one vs. an Acadia or similarly sized SUV. Having to fold seats to go grocery shopping or hold a stroller isn’t remotely convenient for me. Plus, I have the dogs I have to consider.

Did anyone else get super sleepy after their GTT? I know that I didn't sleep the best last night, but I feel like the amount of sugar (like 3x what I normally have in one sitting) basically knocked me out.

I finally had to turn the temperature in our bedroom down. I get so hot at night and I throw off the covers, but H covers me back up in his sleep lol I need to do this too. I need the snuggliness of blankets but I've been way too hot. We already keep the temp lower than DH's preference but it's like a cardio workout every night with how much I have to change positions.

budders, DS had tons of hair on his 32 week ultrasound but was completely bald by 40 weeks when he was born (and until he was about 2). Babies are weird.

Speedy, every single time I've taken it (6 total during 3 pregnancies), I've felt sluggish the rest of the day.

I felt completely fine during my 3 hour test and then afterwards ate three lunches and wanted to sleep for the next 24 hours. That stuff really messed me up.

A male coworker at work came in to talk to me about something today. We haven't seen each other in 2 weeks because of spring break. The first thing he said was ''Oh! You've gotten bigger!!' *Blink blink* *awkward chuckle* 'Yeah, I've noticed.'

budders, feel better soon. lily, all my sympathies. We use to live in one of the boring parts. At least scenery is nice all over the state. I also felt more sleepy & just crappy in general after that sugar drink.

But that may be because DH’s truck is hella cluttered. Also I don’t have to fold seats to fit a stroller or groceries. But big dogs do fit better in an SUV if you don’t want them on the seats.

One of my main requirements for my new van was that the interior matches my dog. 🐕- is a very accurate representation of her and that fur on black upholstery has been a fucking nightmare. She rides shotgun with a harness because she's my princess. I'm sure she'll appreciate the heated leather. I'm a bit of a crazy dog lady.

Wow, lots to catch up on! No babies yet though! budders Feel better! BMBs - I was in a FB group that was really active but every few months there was drama and people that I liked left. I eventually stopped participating and stuck to a closer knit group with no drama. I met one girl from the first group when I was traveling for work but never met the people that lived close to me. Glad that this group is drama free Work is going to be bananas until the week of my RCS. Mini vent, I really want to wrap things up instead of getting super busy and super stressed! I’m starting to work from home a lot more but people are scheduling lunches to catch up right before I go on leave. Now I’m worried that my water will break on one of these trips to the office! Work had a mini sprinkle for me. Luckily they didn’t go all out with balloons and decor since it’s not my style and they didn’t force me to wear the crown that they had somehow. But there was food and cake! Apparently we were going to go out to a nice lunch the week before but I was really sick and stayed home so they had to change plans around. Ok- it’s past 4AM here. I better go back to bed to see if I can fall asleep. Damn you insomnia!

Holy restlessness. I slept horribly. It felt like I tossed and turned every 5 minutes and my legs were so restless.

Add me to the mini van club. We are going to make the switch soon (ideally this month) and I'm excited but a little nervous. They seem so big to me. It does make sense with this being my third baby though. I, too, will be rolling in the Sienna.
Also, sorry I have been so absent. My family has been consistently sick basically since November. It's been a little stressful to imagine one more person to add to that mix but I think we are finally in a normal place now.

I love my crossover best, but our minivan is more comfortable if driving a long distance or more people are riding in it. DH drives a sedan and after driving the other two, it always seems so small.

I upgraded to a CX9 a few months ago for the 3rd row and a more spacious 2nd row. There's not very much trunk space if the 3rd row is up, but I am super happy with it. Way more room than my old Cherokee.

My work is throwing me a little shower today and my admin used a marker to change bite size Baby Ruth bars to say "Baby Ruby." It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I finally had another appointment where I gained no weight, yay! And after 2 weeks of working out like 3 times and eating so much junk. Basically pregnancy weight gain is dumb and makes no sense.

Welp, OB clinic is closed for the day and I didn't get a call, so I'm going to tentatively say I passed the GTT!

It's rainy and gloomy here today. We are having a "Pineapple Express" rain storm apparently. It's supposed to clear up by my sprinkle this Sunday but I don't have high hopes, it's really coming down. And I suspect the deck at H's grandparents (where we're having it) won't have time to dry out for us to be out there like we expected. I think we'll end up inside. Before this storm popped up it was expected to be 80 degrees that day. I was excited for the sunshine!
My work had a little sprinkle lunch for me yesterday, too. We went to a local pizzeria and had cupcakes and all the girls in the office came. All 5 of us (we are male dominated office). We had cupcakes. And then they gave me the best gift ever...a gift card to my favorite spa for a prenatal massage and mini facial. I"m trying to decide when to schedule it. I'm super sore right now and would really love a massage. But also I will probably be even more sore in a week or two so maybe I should wait? Decisions, decisions.
We are looking to get a bigger car, too. But I don't want a mini van. I currently drive an Acura RDX but it's having some issues and has 150k miles on it. Also it just doesn't feel big enough for 2 kiddos and a dog. We take a lot of trips up the mountain to see my FIL and I want us all to be comfortable. We've been looking for a couple of months and have narrowed it down to a used Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. We want captains chairs and leather. I'm hoping we can make it happen before baby but I really don't know if it will.
