Lyra is officially above birth weight today! We made a last minute appointment with the ped because her umbilical area is bleeding, but apparently it's normal stuff.
Nothing quite like sending a new parent into a freak out like a sudden bloom of blood through the baby's onesie after a feed. 😣😣

katietopaz i must be living under a rock i’ve never heard of the salad and i’m off to google! is it doing it’s job? cornpop so glad her bili went down and you didn’t have to take her in well i survived my first bedtime alone with both of the girls. so there’s that. i am so tired this morning...i went to bed at 8 last night and my fitbit tells me i’ve gotten over 6 hrs of sleep and i shouldn’t complain but interrupted sleep is just no good. drinking coffee and watching some gilmore girls before i need to hop in the shower. not much going on today. trying to decide if i’m brave enough to get to the library with the girls today. i will probably just end up heading to my moms for naptime before dinner. i am hoping to squeeze a nap in myself.

I’m having a really rough time this morning. My body hurts. My hips are causing me to have so much pain from my lower back down the back of my thighs. SPD and sciatica at the same time should be against the law.
Oh and of course my Right RLP is flairing because why would behave?
I have a super high tolerance for pain - and I couldn’t get into the car this morning. Literally, as soon as I lifted my right leg, I had needles and fire shooting from my lower back into my pelvis and down to my knee. I broke down and cried. My husband finally realized in that moment how much pain I’ve been in. I’m still crying about it - I’m not even 37w yet but she needs to come soon. I can’t even pick up my 2yo without my hips and back buckling.
I have to get in to the chiro today and I’ve been resisting that because adjustments sound painful right now but I have to do something.
My last day of work is 4/12... I may have to move that up because literally... driving hurts. Moving my leg to the gas pedal or brake hurts.
I just need to make it through today, and tomorrow and... 😭

J has been waking every 45 mins the last two nights. I told DH I’ll take the girls to daycare and leave J here with him so I can get a “break”, and now J is sleeping and anybody want to bet he’ll sleep for 2 hours and I’ll miss my window to nap?

Ugh yianna I’m so sorry. That sounds awful I would definitely try to see the chiro - even just laying face down in their fancy pillow was such a relief for me and getting adjusted wasn’t even 10% as bad as I thought it would be. Do your chiro office have a massage therapist on staff? Mine does and the office bills it all together so I just have a $30 copay. It might be worth asking about? Do you have access to a pool? I think I may try and get to ours and see if that helps at at all. Maybe removing some of the pressure will help you too.

I’m so sorry yianna. My first pregnancy was exactly like that. It was hell. I actually considered using a cane at one point because I could barely walk. I hope you can find some relief soon.

I have a massage envy membership and have been able to see them nearly weekly. Relief lasts for a few hours and then BAM. And seriously - it’s never been like this - and she’s my fourth so I know it’s def relaxin is in overdrive but dammit - so over it. Chiro at 615 tonight.. pray it helps me 😭

Halp me. How do I get my baby to sleep somewhere other than my arms? I can get about 10 minutes usually before she wakes up.

I'm sorry yianna. That sounds so miserable. Em is at preschool, my H has a job so I'm enjoying a few hours of newborn snuggle in peace. But then I have to brave preschool pickup with Noelle for the first time. We have newborn pictures tomorrow and I have to figure out outfits too.

I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable yianna. I hope you're able to get some relief. Sending hugs to those who's babies aren't sleeping. Sleep deprivation is no joke. Hoping you all get some naps today!

snowman - are you swaddling? If not, start again! And lay baby down someplace that cradles them - this is why I love love love the rock n play.

I had ordered a Tula free to grow but since it may be a week or two until baby is at 7 lbs I ordered a baby K'tan. It came in yesterday and I'm looking forward to using it. Mh and I have to run a few errands today so I'm going to try it out.

@ yianna I am sorry you are in so much pain. I hope the chiropractor helps.
I successfully gave DS2 a bath by myself. I am not quite sure what to do with his crazy hair now.

DD wants to go to the park, but it's raining out. I just suggested for us to go to the children's museum instead. I'm really hoping that I will not regret this decision.

The weird baby shifting last night was most certainly my belly dropping, visibly. I feel weird this morning. This happened to me yesterday too. All of the sudden it felt like she was really low and was going to practically fall out of me. There was also a ton of pressure. The feeling is still there this morning and it's really hard to walk normally.

yianna i hope you can get some relief from the chiropractor! i had horrible pain for about 3 weeks then it just stopped - hoping it happens for you! snowmoon swaddling is the only way i get mine to sleep on her own. she hates it if she’s not totally out, so i let her fall asleep on me then swaddle once she’s out. i know i’m going to have to figure something out once i want to do drowsy but awake for putting her down, but i’m going with what gives me sleep now.

Halp me. How do I get my baby to sleep somewhere other than my arms? I can get about 10 minutes usually before she wakes up. We are living the same life. These last few days, L will only sleep while being held, walked around, and patted on the butt. I wish I had the magic answer for us both!

Only in Nebraska does the dad of the daycare kids you watch show up in a big, red tractor to pick his kids up. 😂
One more day of work and I'm done for nearly a month. Cannot wait!
