Good luck! Everytime H threatens to take away the tablet, I give him the look of death, like now we actually have to parent her! Don't do that to me! :-) I do the same when A does it for no tablet before bed. Like dude, that's my saving grace for washing my face, brushing my teeth and changing clothes without a toddler up my butt. Don't take that from me. Do you all go to bed at the same time? I do this stuff like 2 hours after the kids go to bed.

Thank you tgrimes that is comforting peachsmama it's been covered, but my Dr. specifically said kids can go to school the next day without a problem. It is just coincidental that the next day is Good Friday so DC is closed. I would be sending him otherwise. When is J's surgery? Also, anyone have experience with both tubes and adenoids? Dr. is saying recovery is pretty much the same as just tubes. Any anecdotal evidence of this?

Morning. Operation zero screen time commences today. H has been so terrible lately we are going to see if this makes a difference. No tv or kindle at all this week. She woke up at 12ish last night and tried to sneak into our bed to sleep. We told her to go back to her bed and then she kept crying and woke up S. Then I had 2 crying children for the next hour. All this to say I’ll probably be around less since I’m going to try not to be on my phone when they’re awake/around. I need to do this. Our first threat is taking away his treats like cookies and such. I need to take away his tablet, too, but then I worry about the amount of destruction he will do if he doesn't have the tablet to keep him occupied when I need to get a few things done around the house. Good luck!

Morning.
M2 woke up with a little fever this morning. He was a bit cranky, but we are short at work, so I dosed him with tylenol, and sent him to daycare. The guilt is settling in. If his fever returns after the tylenol wears off, I'll be leaving work. One evening last week, he felt warmer than usual and seemed tired, but after he had a bottle and a bath, it went away and he was normal, so I'm hoping that's the case today.

Once they are asleep Dh and I watch TV or sometimes leave the room. But we mostly all go to bed at the same time. DH gets up at 4:30 so he needs to be asleep early and I just watch Netflix on my phone until I'm ready to go to bed.

Just got back home, I went and got my nails done this morning and had to run to the bank and post office. I have so much to do today. This job is keeping me busier than at the bank. Which I'm grateful for, I hate being bored. It's just unexpected. We hired a new driver yesterday so I have to get him on our insurance and get all his files made.

I did the same this morning. S had a 99.1. Which technically isn't really a fever. And even though Day Care says they don't send them home till 100.4, they always text me if it is anywhere above 99. And then I feel guilty and go get her. But this is my second week back at work and I have to get my hiring done because I am already cutting it close and the background investigations take like 6 weeks (if they are not too backed up). So it will be nothing short of a miracle if have much staff before Memorial Day. Also, S has been a wild child all weekend! She was LITERALLY hanging from the light fixture above our kitchen table this weekend. In the time it took me to go into the laundry room to move clothes from the washer to dryer she had climbed on top of our tall table, and was standing in the middle of it and swinging the fixture around! She NEEDED to go to school today or I was going to loose my damn mind. And this was just one example of her wild and crazy shenanigans this weekend.

Hope the surgery goes well jewels! You know- my older two were extremely early talkers but Letty is just now starting to slowly take off with her words. And she is only 4 months older than B. (I checked the spreadsheet... my memory is not that good 😉) Hopefully the surgery helps... but I wanted you to know you’re not alone! It is frustrating at times when you don’t know what they want but they’ll get it!

It is frustrating at times when you don’t know what they want but they’ll get it! Thank you... there actually seem to be quite a few N13ers who's #2 (or #3 in your case) are later talkers. These stories have given me hope that it's not an issue. Although, of course, I keep worrying. Also, She is really just 4 months older than B?!? That's crazy! I remember when you had her and it feels like she should be so much older!! But I felt that way with the recent rash of 2 y/o birthdays ( joelies, guster, wineallthetime, etc.) I feel like all your kids should be at least a year older than B, not just 4-6 months!

Slow #2 talker here talker too. I stopped counting words with ds at this age, he was talking soooo much. With dd (22mo in a week) I don’t think I can get much further than 20? But little miss can make herself perfectly clear and ‘talks’ all day every day, so I’m not worried.

Just got a note from dc saying their Easter party is Thursday. So now I'm wondering if they are going to be closed on Friday or if they think a bunch of people aren't going to be there. I'll have to check. I want to say normally they are open though.

I haven't seen anything posted about them being closed, just Egg Hunt reminders....although, that just goes to show how closely I'm reading them since I thought it was Friday.

mwhip, we are never closed for anything, small office of crotchety old men who give no fucks about anyone other than themselves. So they make us stay open and then they all leave at varying times throughout the day so we end up having to stay all day. They really do suck.
