Morning Dh came home last night, which was nice. It’s weird but somehow the house stays soooo much neater and cleaner when he isn’t there, even tough he does a lot around the house. Enjoying my last 10 minutes of peace and quiet before picking up ds from school. Nachos on the menu tonight, yaay!

Morning! The kids woke me up bright and early this morning because they are excited about vacation. My house is clean and we are mostly packed, so for the first time in awhile I'm actually ahead of the game! I need to catch up on the weekend thread, will do on my 4 hour drive.
First, coffee.

Very rainy morning here today! I was going 45 on the hwy, that I normally drive 70 on. You couldn't see the paint on the road, just followed the car in front of you. Which I'm sure means this downpour is washing away the fertilizer I put on the lawn yesterday afternoon. I'm pretty sure follow up with water in the next 48 hours after treatment, does not mean inches of rain in a few hours.

Good morning from the gym. I don't really feel like working out. I might in a little bit... I've got two hours of childcare. Sometimes I just come so the kids can play and I can just chill. Get's us out of the house at least. Where are you guys going on vacation dapostrophe?

Morning. Operation zero screen time commences today. H has been so terrible lately we are going to see if this makes a difference. No tv or kindle at all this week. She woke up at 12ish last night and tried to sneak into our bed to sleep. We told her to go back to her bed and then she kept crying and woke up S. Then I had 2 crying children for the next hour. All this to say I’ll probably be around less since I’m going to try not to be on my phone when they’re awake/around.

Everytime H threatens to take away the tablet, I give him the look of death, like now we actually have to parent her! Don't do that to me! :-)

Oh my goodness, I’m such an idiot! I wanted to get sand for the sandbox in our garden, I only thought about if it would fit in the bike, not how freaking heavy it would be! I had 120lbs of sand, plus two kids, plus the weight of the bike itself. Let’s just say this was not my smartest or safest bike ride.

sands42 We are doing a mini vacation for 4 days in Door County, WI. We wanted a hotel with an indoor pool for the kids in case the weather is not great, although I'm hoping we can get out a bit to scope out the beaches and forest preserves. There is apparently a swedish restaurant with goats on the the roof and an ice cream factory we are going to need to visit too 😁

I need to do that too trtlcrzy... It's just so hard when MH is gone because I use tv/electronics when I need to get stuff done around the house, do homework or take a shower... etc. I guess maybe I need to include them more in what I'm doing when I can- like cleaning or whatever. We will definitely be doing much less screen time when MH is home. Good luck!! I was going to say play outside more but it's still so freaking cold where we both are!!!

Yeah, definitely not something I could do in the middle of winter. There’s snow on the ground today but it’s supposed to warm up and be 50 on wed or thurs so hopefully we can get out and do things. I don’t blame you for relying on electronics when you solo parent so much. You are a much stronger person than I am.

Arg I was replying and my laptop went nutty.
Anyhow I'm working from home today since Chase has his 2 year appointment and they're still in their temp location, which is so inconvenient compared to their normal office. It's been almost 3 full months, c'mon!!
Speaking of Chase, kiddo had it out for me last night. He woke me up crying, then went silent until I was just about passed out again. He did that maybe 3 times? I swear he knew what he was doing, haha.
It's cool today (high of 44) but at least it's sunny. I just need to know that spring will be here eventually.

trtlcrzy, good luck! I always think I want to do this, but I am not good at it. Esp when MH is away, like sands42 said, it's the only way to accomplish anything!! But I always thinks his behavior improves when he has less/no screen time.

Have fun dapostrophe!! Good luck with no screen time, trtlcrzy. I was the mean mom who took away N’s show after daycare last week but still let H watch it. Lol. That was tantrum city.

Morning! It’s quiet at the office today. It was awful getting out of the house this morning and I joked when I got to work that I wished our daycare had a drive by drop off because I couldn’t drop them off fast enough, I was done parenting at 8:30am.

Short week here... B has his surgery on Thursday and then DC is closed on Friday for Good Friday.
I'm nervous about the surgery, but more nervous about how he wakes up from the anesthesia, since I hear that's the toughest part. I'm hopeful that this jump starts his talking (he still really has no words) but he understands EVERYTHING, so I'm not sure if I can attribute his not talking to his ears. I guess time will tell.

My mom decided to stay in AZ with grandma this week so my sister is here to help me each morning.
There's been so much weird stuff going on with grandma's treatment. Hopefully my mom will get some clear information . I think they see her oncologist Wednesday. I have no idea why she's not on hospice but I think she needs to be.

Like dude, that's my saving grace for washing my face, brushing my teeth and changing clothes without a toddler up my butt. Don't take that from me.

I forgot to ask and don't feel like sitting on hold with children's.
