ajetter I think it just looks like baby acne. I worried about N’s for awhile too but my dr reassured me. I think it’s probably so much worse in the winter with the dry cold air too.

DS is at preschool right now, and has his last hockey game of the season this evening! He’s been coughing since last week and I kept him home from a bunch then, so I hope he feels ok to squeeze this last one in.

@benandjerry DS1 I could not put down at all except about 15 minutes on the kick and play piano starting at about 6-8 weeks until he could sit up. So far this baby will chill in the mamaroo or bouncy seat for 15-20 minutes at a time or on the floor for maybe 10 minutes (except during the witching hour). It is so kid dependent. sunfrogger. I hear you. I have only taken both kids by myself to swim lessons for DS1 and it stresses me out each time. DH and I both went this morning to take both kids to daycare this morning. Today is the baby's first day of daycare. I'm doing errands in case he needs something. Going to target and to take some clothes to get altered.

I've been fever free for 24 hours! Hallelujah! I actually part of overnight baby duties for the first time in over a week.
I had a random dream that I was witnessing my sister's baby daddy being arrested for a felony of some sort and I was laughing at him. Plausible for him to get arrested IRL so I enjoyed it. I hope the state serves him his child support papers soon so I can stop wishing bad things on him in my dreams haha. He owes his daughter/my sister about $10k in back pay. The poor guy isn't going to see his tax return for years to come.

Morning! Nothing happening here today. H dropped my car off for inspection and when it's done the baby and I will take a walk to pick it up. How much time are your babies content on the floor for? JoJo pretty much cries if he's not being held or in a bouncy seat. I think I remember DD being more content on the floor by this age (6w). What's normal? Anywhere from 2 seconds to 10 minutes. ETA: this is only for his back. And definitely not during his witching hours

It was a horrible overnight with both kids. The baby was up 4 times and the 4-year-old was up 3 times (for a nightmare, asking if it was time to wake up and wanting to change her pjs). I barely can keep my eyes open ☕️ Our night wasnt great either. Maybe tonight’s our night? Every night before bed I think This Is It! And... lately it hasn’t been but maybe tonight will be? Tonight is our night. Tonight is our night. Tonight is our night. If I say it enough, it will happen, right?!?

This is just baby acne right? You’d think with my fourth I’d stop worrying about stupid stuff. But none of the rest of them had it. Her poor face looks so sad. This looks like Faith's baby acne and I was worried it was a rash. I took her to the pedi and they confirmed it was just baby acne, with Faith's the redness went away after a day or two but a lot of the bumps still are there (7 weeks on Wednesday). Doctor said it was normal to spread down to her chest and back.

Last night was probably one of our better nights (a 180 difference from Saturday night), I fed her at midnight (semi dream feed) and we went to bed and she slept almost 5 hours before waking up for the next meal. It was a second straight "quick to sleep" after feeding and we were in bed by 5:20. Woke up at 8:00 for another meal and then we went back to bed and slept until 11.
I'm part excited and part stressed, but 3 of the last 4 feedings she has refused/not wanted the bottle after nursing. I'm part hopeful that I'm making enough milk to satisfy her and part concerned she isn't getting enough, but she is pushing the bottle out with her tongue and or not opening her mouth when she has fallen asleep at the breast. So I assume she is just full, right?
Saturday I had 4 baby free hours while I got my hair done and did some shopping/errands. DH did awesome with her and even got her to be happy in the swing for about 40 minutes (record time by far). Tonight my sister and BIL will be keeping her while we go downtown for a hockey game. She has 3 kids (including twins) so I know she is is good hands but this will be the furthest I have been from her and for the longest time. I'll drop her off at 5:30 and probably won't pick her up until after 10:00.

I enjoy Monday’s bc the big has school. This one is even better bc H stayed home and is keeping the baby content while I drink my coffee (he spilt my first cup 😡). This week is going to be a good one. Tomorrow is my birthday and Thursday my bff will be here! Woot

I was really hoping today would be a day J would nap in his crib or the RNP instead of in my arms. I really really really could use a nap. So far... no luck

We are having a freak snow storm here so I left work about a half hour ago before it gets bad. The girls are with a sitter until 5 so I’m watching tv. I have a list of stuff I should be doing but none of it will likely happen.

Im literally the worst. Both my kids run around with talons on their fingers (well DD runs around, DS just lays there lol). At least they both take the clipping with no fuss. DD loves it (she says we’re “doing her nails”) and so far S just chills there. But ya I don’t do it often enough!

S has had a cold for a few days & today is finally starting to look more like himself so I tried nap in the PNP instead of his bouncy seat or in my arms (we’ve been doing the latter the last few days bc of his congestion). It lasted about 30 min haha. Usually we had been getting 1-2 hours in the bouncer or in my arms.

Hi! I am just catching up now. I have been busy all day. sunfrogger the baby is 11w and I still haven’t taken them both out by myself. I am such a chicken about it. benandjerrys He is content in the floor, usually on his play mat, for about 20 minutes or so but he has to be in a good mood for it. We get about 5 minutes of content tummy time on his play mat.

yellow711 have you tried laying J next to you on the bed so you can sleep too, that is if you feel comfortable. Papa cuts the kids fingernails in our house, he hasn’t been home 24 hours and already cut the baby’s. He’ll cut the bigs later. My kids need their nails cut like once a week.

Man it would be the life if me and h both could stay home. He went to go get the big, while I eat chips and watch the baby! I do have a dentist appointment soon tho. 😞 I will get to go grocery shopping solo after which will be nice.

I've pulled Faith into bed with me/us a few times when I just needed to sleep. The first time it was scary but each time it gets easier. I also have a recliner that I feel comfortable sleeping with her on my chest. I can prop my elbows on the arms and/or a pillow and keep my hand on her back and I feel that she isn't going anywhere. The frequency that it happens should really be discussed, but it is how we ended up with a 6+ week old who wants to be held all the time during the day. *shruggy guy*

Baby will be alone in a contraption or on the floor for maybe 10 minutes before crying. It’s usually more like the 7 seconds rebeccabunch mentioned. He loves being in the Boba wrap though, so I wear him over half the day. ajetter that looks like C’s baby acne. His actually just started clearing up yesterday luckily.

Guys, I'm not holding Faith and she is asleep!
I got her to sleep (finally) and I put her down in the rock n play so I could shower (date night requires a shower, even if it is a hockey game) and she slept through the shower without crying. As I was putting on my makeup I heard her making sounds and I snuck over and saw her eyes were open but she wasn't crying so I left her. I finished putting on my make up and went back over and SHE WAS BACK ASLEEP!!! She put herself to sleep without crying and without being held! I would do cartwheels if I knew how...
