MH took E out to play in the snow except it's not really playable anymore. So we're watching movies. Going to eat lunch soon and then DD1 will need to take her nap. While DD1 naps I'm hoping to fold laundry.
MHs dad decided he wanted to come visit us in 3 weeks after MH goes back to work. We're trying to get it thru that I really don't want to spend a week with my ILs and they should just wait until May when I go back to work and he's with the girls on his own for 2 weeks. DNW a week w my ILs on my own. They couldn't be bothered to come up to see her when she was born bc it wasn't convenient for them (and their fault for moving 9 hours away anyway). They can wait until it's at our convenience to have them up.

Thank you so much everyone!! I appreciate it. So glad that we at least have DS. I can't imagine what some of the other couples are going through... my heart breaks for them. 💙

pinkcat, I saw that on the news last night. I had to have DH pause it so we could discuss. We have 5 embryos in the freezer so I totally get it. I can't believe a prestigious institution like that could have that happen. I'm hoping they would make it right with the families. I saw the clinic said they would pay for the transfer of affected embryos. For me, I would want to know what else they're willing to do. It could be a $20,000 loss, not mention all the hopes. I really hope they make it right with you, but I know that this can't be easy right now.

Happy Friday!
H is now coming home Sunday late evening. I am def jealous of him going out every night and sleeping in everyday without a care in the world (I know he’s working but still). My bff is coming in town on Thursday and I better not get any lip from him about him taking care of the kids.

Anyone’s baby have super dry skin on their ears? From the chest down her skin is great. Her neck is rashy or maybe baby acne, I assume just because she spits up alllll the time. Her face is covered in baby acne, and her cheeks are dry. But her ears are absurdly dry. Like almost crusty. I’m using a protective balm on them (like aquaphor) but it doesn’t seem to be helping. She looks like a greasy teenager. We had this! the ears looked so dry and crusty but all the doctors at the hospital said it's actually cradle cap! Its finally almost gone now. Dude was a real ugly duckling for a few weeks now

I likely have influenza.... Lovely. And since I'm pumping I can't take the mucinex she tried to suggest soooo I get to ride it out.
Daycare let me know that DS1 now has green snot on top of a cough he's had for a week. So I have a message into the ped. LO also has snot but it looked yellow this morning.

Maddox slept 7 hours last night!!! First time that's happened, but we did have our vaccinations yesterday so maybe they just tuckered him right out. Of course I couldn't fall back asleep after so started the day at 4. Sometimes I get so excited that it's friday but then I remember that MH has been working an insane amount of overtime and is working again tomorrow leaving me with both kids. BOO.
Does anyone elses kids despise getting their haircut? DS1 literally screams and cries the entire time like hes being tortured and it can be so embarrassing. Last time we left the salon because MH couldnt deal but the kid is in desperate need of a haircut so Im thinking of just biting the bullet and taking him tomorrow morning solo. Wish me luck!

So sorry bassa and pinkcatMy mom was here last night and today. She has been sleeping over one night a week since DS was born almost four years ago since she lives two hours away. She would babysit DS while I was at work and clean my house and do my laundry, so it’s nice. DS adores her and I got to sleep a little later today. We went to Kohl’s and picked up new paw patrol sneakers for DS and went to Dunkin’ Donuts. I hadn’t been out of the house since Tuesday, so it was nice to get out for a little while.

I had a Dr appointment today to discuss my heavy bleeding during my period, and she had a potential solution for me that wasn't the pill! I've never been given any hope of something other than the pill working, but apparently Tranexamic acid can help reduce the quantity of menstrual bleeding. I'm excited that this may help going forward .

bassa I’m sorry for your loss 😞 knowing that he wanted to die must soften the blow a bit, but I’m sure it’s still tough. A loss is still a loss. sending hugs! pinkcat omg I am so sorry. I can’t even imagine what you must be feeling. I really hope they are able to compensate you somehow for everything you went through getting those embryos and hopefully in the future too for having to go through it all over again for future babies!! I’m also so mad for you that you had to find out from FB and they didn’t notify you first 😤

I’m exhausted. I took dd1 swimming earlier with MH. We dropped H off at MIL’s so we could spend some 1:1 time with DD1. She was so happy. And I think we can officially say she can swim!! She was swimming 10-15 feet all by herself, with no floaty or anything!! She’ll be 3 in May, so I’m so proud of her for getting this so young. Alright, bragging over

dragonflyinn I’m so jealous of your fancy night out!! I want an excuse to get all dolled up haha. My/MH’s 30th bdays are at the end of the month, so maybe I’ll get dressed up for our date night then instead of resorting to jeans. Anyway, def post a pic of you in your dress and all done up!! I need to live vicariously through you for tonight haha. I hope you have fun!! You deserve this night off from kid duty after all the sickness you’ve had to deal with this past month.

Men, y’all. H took DD to lunch and then to run a few errands. Well after one errand he called to say he was coming home & dropping her off bc he was so tired of getting her in & out of the car at each store 😂😂 UMM WHAT DO YOU THINK I DO???
The best part was to bring her back & go out again added an extra hour to his outing, while the “inconvenience” of taking her in & out of her seat would maybe have added 10 minutes lol.

We do summer ones & this year will be her first time in a “real” class without me in the water w her so we will see how it goes!

I haven’t been anywhere besides my house and my parents’ house since DS was born and I’m starting to get itchy. I need to start pumping so I have a date night stash so DH and I can get out on our own sometime soon. He’s working tonight, but I’m trying to lure my mom and sister to a wine and cheese tasting tonight at the fancy liquor store near my mom’s house. It would be brief and I’d have to bring the kids, but at least I’d be out in public for a bit!

amesie that's amazing!!!!!! Good job to your DD!!! So I'm a hot mess today. I put on a pot of eggs to boil.. And forgot.. And 2 hours later GIANT mess and cue giant recurring panic attack. I'm so thankful MH was home. Also my lady bits are suuuupeer itchy and inflamed. I need a sitz bath so I'll probably try to deal with that this evening. Ow Ow Ow. The silver lining of the surgery is that I'm really not bleeding as much as I could be. So.

It took three or four attempts, but I was able to get a quick nap while both kids napped. I needed that bad. DD just woke up, I am still in my PJs but have to get ready for this consignment sale tonight. Cannot wait to shop without kids in tow. Cannot wait to leave the house alone. Alone guys. Alone. And also shopping!

I feel like a million dollars! My mom spent the night last night and did all the overnight feedings. I slept from 10p to 6a. I am so grateful of my mom! How wonderful! My mom comes one weekend morning at 6 am and watches the kids until 9 or 10 so we can both sleep. It’s glorious. Let’s remember to do these nice things when our kids have kids.

Not caught up but I have an ingrown hair or zit on my labia. Really? I am so uncomfortable and have to walk weird. I feel like I’ve gotten one before but I obviously blocked it out. I guess I just let it run its course? This happened to me after I had DS2. So painful! My MW said it’s normal from a lot of sitting and tight pants. I think I ended up popping mine. Sorry. So gross.
