I think I'm going to buy this for DS. Our NT scan is next Tuesday and St Patrick's Day is a big thing for my family so I thought this would be a fun way to announce to them.

Cute shirt! I had to stay home with DD today (which as a teacher makes things really difficult with sub plans/kids being awful when I'm gone, etc.)because she's been sick all weekend and still has a fever/cough/runny nose today. Just took her to the doctor and she has an ear infection. She was so uncomfortable last night she had to sleep on dh for half the night. I feel so bad for her she looks miserable

Hope she feels better quickly brenna. Been dealing with EIs over here too and it's no fun.

Ugh. Snowfall totals are going up and up for Wednesday. Depending on the news station we're somewhere in the 6-14" range right now.

Nymeria - Adorable shirt! Love it! brenna - I hope your daughter feels better soon! Poor kiddo. We're in the middle of the storm here... Looking at 4 to 6 inches and 45 mph winds. Snow totals aren't too bad... but I hate March snow storms...especially after a weekend of sunny 50 degree weather!

Nymeria that's a really cute shirt! brenna I hate ear infections. How old is your DD? Mine is 2 and we've just started her on zantac to see if reflux is causing her recurring ear infections.

She is 1.5 years old, but this is her first ear infection. We've actually been pretty lucky, today is the first time I've had to take her to the doctor for being sick.

It’s been a long day. I was out sick on Friday so I was pretty tired and trying to catch up all day. I have a sub on Wednesday afternoon to take M to the ent to talk adenoids. But next week is spring break and I CANNOT WAIT.
TW So with our loss we had already taken “big sister “ pictures with M but no one saw them because we found out the baby was gone at our first appointment. I love the picture so much but it feels wrong to use it again alone. I want to find a way to incorporate the picture with our new announcement. But is that morbid?

Ugh. My iron was just a tiny bit low so she prescribed me an iron supplement and it has me burping quarters. Yuck.

akwild I don't think it's morbid. I would absolutely want to remember happy moments before a loss. The only thing is it might be confusing issuing two pictures to announce if you haven't publically announced the loss? I'm not sure. I certainly don't think there is anythingwrong or morbid about it though.

Did anyone else have twinges of pain coming from their belly button in early pregnancy? I'm almost 6 weeks and every now and then it sort of feels like a painful tugging from the inside coming from my navel. I think it might be associated with either having just peed or needing to pee, as it only happens occasionally. I am having RLP too, but this feels different. I don't remember this from my first pregnancy.

akwild - If you like the picture and you yourself are comfortable using it, I don't see any reason not to use it whether alone or as part of your announcement! I don't think it's morbid at all. blurnette989 - Ugh. I've never had an iron supplement do that. Could you try a different brand? ftwr - I so badly wish I could nap at work! Dramaphile - I've never had the belly button twinges, but I'm definitely experiencing RLP already. I'm not sure I had any belly button pain last time either. Sorry I'm no help with this one.

Ugh. My iron was just a tiny bit low so she prescribed me an iron supplement and it has me burping quarters. Yuck. My sister had to take iron and she found online a brand of iron gummies. They can be hard to find in stores because kids can OD on iron (hence why most gummy vitamins are iron-free. I think it was this brand. www.amazon.com/Vitamin-Friends-Iron-Gummies-manufactured/dp/B005CC3X2I

Once news station is now reporting 8-18" tomorrow, and potentially over 2 feet in certain towns (thankfully not my town). Looks like I'm definitely working from home tomorrow. Thankfully it's not supposed to be bad around morning commute time so I can still drop DS off at MILs house so I can actually get work done.

I think I'm getting whatever virus DD has. I'm really hoping I don't get too sick because dh and I and another couple are going to Seattle this weekend to see Hamilton! I'm so excited!

Nymeria - Stay warm and safe! We got 8 inches last night...thank goodness we have a kind neighbor with a plow who cleared our driveway in no time! brenna - We saw Hamilton in Chicago last summer. Sooo good! Any fun restaurant plans in Seattle?

Thanks guys, I'm going to try having the supplement at lunch with food. Weirdly the instructions say at breakfast on an empty stomach or lunch with food. 🤔🤔🤔
Because of public healthcare you don't have as many choices because people almost always choose the free state prescription over an OTC out of pocket option. So lots of pharmacies just don't carry extra other options. It was free, so i will live. Total fwp. The burping did subside after about 30 minutes or so.

My NT scan went great this morning. I was nervous beforehand (like I am before every single ultrasound) but we had a bouncy baby measuring a little ahead. Bad news is that I think I got whatever dd had and am now at home in bed. Does anyone have any good cold remedies? I took some Tylenol but am open to any and all ideas to get better fast!

I can't eat gluten or dairy so that always makes things a tad more difficult, especially now while I still have some lingering nausea too!

I had some long vent typed up about how I felt dd's preschool teacher had slightly unfair expectations for a 4 year olds first day at preschool. But I'm probably being extra. My hormones are pissing me off.
I'm struggling a bit today. I just want to eat food and cry but nothing sounds good. Ever.

brenna yay for the great us! shawnspencer I’m sorry the first day didn’t go as well as expected. Vent away. Just popping in to say hi. Hope everyone is having a good week. I think I’m starting to dry up and I’m feeling so sad. DD is almost 20 months and I loved every minute of nursing her. That coupled with the nausea and exhaustion - it’s been a tough week.

Thanks koritto. It didn't even go badly. That's why I feel ridiculous. The teacher said is was good other than a few things. I just think those little things will work out once DD is comfortable and it felt too soon to really bring it up as a problem. Like I said, emotions. I'm sorry you're drying up. When you love nursing it's such a hard thing to stop. It's a really emotional and amazing bond (for some people) that is really difficult to let go. Hugs.

I'm sorry you're having a similar day wisco. I need to pull myself together to take DD to dance. But putting on pants and getting out if bed feels so hard. I need it to be tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day.

I miss booze. This has been one of those weeks and only Wednesday .
I grabbed some store brand ginger beer today and it definitely hit the spot with the perfect amount of spicy and ginger to help my nausea. Plus I can pretend I'm drinking a Moscow mule.

Our 8-18" snow prediction turned into about 6" of actual snow. Even at 4pm last night they were still saying 8-18. How can they be that wrong all the time? pixiepink24 - Good call on the ginger beer. It's nice when you can find a somewhat-adult beverage replacement!
